Before you install LOS-14.1: Preparation (Optional. If you want to start fresh, these can be skipped)
Install Easy Backup & Restore from Market, run it and backup your stuff.
Boot into recovery. Make a full backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.

Install
Boot into recovery.
Wipe data and cache.
Flash lineage-14*.zip.
Flash gapps*.zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to LOS-14.1 since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
Reboot phone.
After you setup your Google account, reinstall Easy Backup & Restore from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.
Upgrades
Upgrades from previous versions of LOS-14.1 are the same process as install, except you do not need to wipe anything. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to even wipe cache and dalvik-cache when upgrading between LOS-14.1 versions. You only need to wipe if you are doing a major upgrade, switching to a different ROM entirely, or attempting to fix bugs caused by bad backups or corrupt app data.

Did you dirty flash? I have not issues with this rom, upgraded from the build from 17.09.
no man,i've done wipe cache davlik system preload,reset data facory rest,and wipe internal storage,so all...but i see this error when i've flash the rom E:Unknown command [log]
i dont know what does it mean,and the touch buttons reamin always on too with the off option,and the phone don't read the list of contacts on my sim,but with cm13 yes.

I use twrp 3.0.2.1
I've built out serranolteusc (CDMA) a few times already. Initial clean install has working sim/data. Reboots back with working sim/data but if I try to wipe/restore nandroid all with twrp 3.0.2 the sim is no longer detected. Wondering if there is something special about cm-14 w/partition?
Minor bugs otherwise. Battery % won't show on statusbar, cLock widget fc's if you try to select a weather provider.

Thanks again for your work arco, this is the best cm out of the box so far. Even IR-blaster works.
After last build flashing, I had to wipe email-cache and reinstall email-account because of fc, related to some "exchange service closed".
Use it as my daily driver for now. Christmas, yes! (no video recording yet)

Just asking if it makes sense to report problem with application pin/unpin - it's not possible to unhook an app after being pinned.... (previous version going to test latest available later today)

I have the same issue. I am using CM13 with an external SD.
During flashing i see twice "E:Unknown command [log]" (not sure if that is an issue).
Using twrp 3.0.2.1 after installing (LTEXX version on 9195), i wipe cache davlik system.
Tried version from:
- 09/09/2016 - Boots but no phone + other stuff.
- 17/09/2016 - Boots but no phone + other stuff.
- 30/09/2016 - Boots but no phone + other stuff + this version does not mount external SD
It's clear we are in an early stage but i am doing something wrong if other are saying that it is quite a good build.

I've had the following issues with the latest build
Home button doesn't work, full qs won't open(only notifications and few qs above it shows can't open with a swipe or even the arrow on top right corner), developer options not available, email crashes at startup and intermittent fcs ,battery drain when network is on (on wifi battery consumption is somewhat fine) ,other issues (Sd card,video) are still there, I'm guessing some of the issues are from the kernel or maybe because I only wiped cache and dalvik when flashing update. And a big thanks to @arco68 for bringing a very stable early build for our devices
Thanks Arco68, i will test and revert. Previous version 17.09 have many issues for daily use, so lets hope new 30.09 version fix stability problems.
Please keep post1 as referense for LATEST build, so we could update faster as this is latest cyanogenmod development

(that's the way I understood nightly update should be done ?) phone stuck in boot mode with the blue iconic
Since I don't backup latest sms (afraid to lost them) I flashed over with 17/09, stuck the same,
wipe dalvik cache + flash 30/09: still stuck in boot mode (I wait 7h !!!)
Solution: wipe system + flash 30/09 + pico (the 17/09) + wipe dalvik: boot ok, nothing lost.
New release should be flash just over ? nothing else to do or I miss one point ?

To upgrade to a newer build, simply flash the zip. There's no need for data wipe or flashing Google Apps again. (However, if you are experiencing strange issues, you may want to try a wipe.)

F2FS
This Rom supports f2fs since the latest build. Don't ask me, what it is. Just google it.
Instructions for f2fs:
Download the modified twrp recovery for f2fs based from here and flash it
Save your data, your whole internal storage will be formatted soon.
Put the latest rom build and gapps on your EXTERNAL sdcard
Format data and cache to f2fs using twrp recovery
Flash the rom and gapps
DO NOT FLASH A KERNEL, WHICH DOES NOT SUPPORT F2FS
If you want to revert back to the usual ext4 partitions, format data and cache with twrp recovery to ext4.
Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. The following is a useful format to follow.

Use SuperSU 2.66
He gave bad for me!
Once you take more than two hours of installation, did not recognize my SIM cards and has also stopped for all google applications. The most common was Google Play Services stoped ... Very sad !!!

- As the Kboing;
- As the hardik190;
- I also tried a simple upgrade without the Data Wipe only with Wipe System / Cache;
- I tried like doing a clean installation;
- I tried installing the CM12.1 package with Gapps and later with the CM13 Zip only.
The results were always negative:
- Problems related to Google services;
- Problems with the recognition of SIM cards;
- And the last time with the Infinity Loop.
Really appreciate the help and commitment of friends in trying to help, but unfortunately I will keep me in CM12.1 until later builds.
Congratulations to Kiborg throughout dedication to upgrade a device so little known and with few partners to share experiences.

bug:my phone is not able to go to deep sleep. Wifi remains on even when is witch it off. And yes all options in location>3dot menu r off (Bluetooth and wifi scanning) don't know what to do. Wake locks are caused by cyanogenmod system.
Hope u look into the problem.

- Afterward WIPE DATA, WIPE CACHE Davik, WIPE CACHE.
- Install CM13 and Gapps 6.0-leave boot
My doubt is regarding the SUPERSU, I only installed it when the ROM shows me a message box saying that will update the SuperSU #.
You must install it by recovery mode?

Specially to install CM12.1 is not necessary, the following points need.
Install SuperSU version only 2.66 or 2.67 through recovery.

Hello guys..
I have installed this ROM with 6.0 stock GAPPS for 3 days.
Issues that I know so far:
- Google camera always stop working for using other than camera( video, panorama, photo sphere )
-random freezes, that I need to pull out the battery
-sometimes phone restart itself after clearing apps from the overview(recent apps switcher)
Other than that issues, this ROM run smooth.

Without supersu the room has root aceess no problems for root permission . enable root access from devloper option and give apps and adb thats it

Before restoring to stock through Odin, go to recovery mode (TWRP highly recommended), wipe everything in the Wipe section >> Advanced wipe (tick all system, data, cache, but not other storages, no need wiping dalvik/ART cache, as it already done by wiping data), then go to Download mode, restore stock, install custom recovery again and then, install the ROM you want

The big problem is RIL crashes
you can use another camera app to record without wrong color

Use another camera app that doesnt use the phone's codecs.
use footej camera or viva video pro to record without wrong color

Fix for home button not working
So I managed to fix the home button not working bug.
Extract the contents of the attached zip file into your /system/usr/keylayout and change the permissions of each file to 644 if they are not 644 already. Then a reboot should fix the problem.
Now searching for quick fix of camera.
For older releases, use patch below by [email protected] for those bug fixes.
Or flash newer release like Beta-2.

Camera can't capture, or recording (and still buggy on next start)

A: Yes, you could, but give proper credits
Q: Server error in Google Play Store?
A: Install latest Google Play Services manually first (might take long time, due to Lollipop's nature), then you can install apps from GG Play as usual
Q: How to use adoptable storage feature? I see it's new in Marshmallow
A: Go to Settings >> Storage & USB >> Tap on the SD card label (not the eject icon) >> 3 dots menu on the top right >> Settings >> Format as internal and done!
Q: Where's the MTP option in Marshmallow? I don't see it in Storage settings
A: This feature has been moved to Developer settings, and will reset to default (Charging) after every reboots. Enable developer options first by tapping 7 times on Build number in About phone section >> Go to Developer settings >> Select USB configuration. The fastest way to do this is plug in your USB with your PC, scroll down notification bar and tap on "USB for Charging"
Q: Where's the "running" section in Apps settings?
A: It has been cut off separately to Memory setting and "Running services" in Developer settings. You can see the memory used by apps for a period of time and closing apps too, but they won't disappear in the menu, and in "Running services", still same as old-fashioned running apps section
Q: Can't install GAPPS?
A: Install TWRP 3.0.2.0

Next time if you want to report bugs, please and PLEASE include logcat and also if you can, tell how to replicate the issue. Just telling what is not working will be ignored next time.
Its like some people says "Logcat or GTFO" (But don't take it personally)
when i flashed gapps pico package , i opened google play ,but it shows me that cheking info for more than one hour and i can't sign in !!
wifi was fast and i downloaded wallpapers from wallpapers app

I want to know as If its possible I will try to clean my system partition or else would search for other method. I asked the same question on the dual booted thread Sorry for that but I'm really impatient to try this ROM.

Awesome ROM, very smooth, but as reported that none of the browsers work, Google app, playstore, Google play services, installed manually using apk, force closes. WiFi working fine, Bluetooth working fine. Using Aptoide as an alternative to play store
My friend has G531H, he asked me to find an android O ROM for him, so i found this one. Can you please tell me what bugs may him find in this ROM? Such as SIM cards, mobile data and other connections, camera, google apps...Please answer me :laugh:
