TWRP 3.0.2 Touchscreen doesn't respond - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I flashed TWRP 3.0.2 (i tried the version from cofface voor redmi note 4 nikel) to my unlocked note 4 and it worked without any errors.
But when i enter in recovery mode I get the following screen;
"unmodified System Partition"
There are 3 buttons 'keep read only', 'select language', and a swipe button to allow modifications
The problem is that the touch screen isnt working. I cant swipe/ click the buttons. the only thing working is the standby button, but when i turn it on again there is a large lock on the screen which i cant unlock (cant swipe).
What can i do to run twrp, and install the global rom on my device (currently running the MIUI 8.0.9.0 china)

It is said that TWRP does not work with BOE digitizers. Luckily I didn't have the problem with my Note 4.
You can connect a mouse to your phone and use this to operate the TWRP.
See here: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/stucked-on-twrp-screen-please-help.34118/

flash the TWRP from ZCX
it works witch BOE screen
Search on miui Forum for TWRP ZCX nikel

Miui Recovery - Help

Hello,
I got a Redmi 3S, and I've checked if bootloader was locked or not with: fastboot oem device-info. I got a locked bootloader.
Then I tried: fastboot oem unlock-go and it worked. I got the status saying that was unlocked.
I flashed twrp recovery but it didn't worked out. It said that it was flashed, but can't access via Power + volume up. When I do that, I get a xiaomi menu with options like "Download", "recovery" and so on. if I choose "Recovery", I get a blackscreen. And I just power the phone, it's asking for a security password.. I don't have it. Is there any way to reflash miui recovery and try to install a miui rom?
Regards
Just flash factory firmware (developer maybe) with MiFlash. Everything should be fine. For your info, Redmi 3 doesn't have factory recovery.
To flash with MiFlash enter download mode. If you really have unlocked bootloader than you can use fastboot also

Thanks. Btw, it's cm13 stable and everything works? When I flashed recovery(twrp), after I shutdown and power on with volume up, didn't went to the twrp. Went to the xiaomi recovery menu. Is that normal? I have a Redmi Note 3 Pro, and after I flash the twrp, when I press power + volume up, it goes directly to twrp. Maybe I did something wrong.

Left the phone (Redmi Note 3) on charging, came back and saw that it is stuck at mi l

It was completely fine before that. It has been 3 weeks since I rooted the phone and it has been working perfectly. There was a pending update though (couldn't install it because it was leading to TWRP recovery mode at boot for some reason).
The battery was low, I connected the charger (not PC) and now the phone is not booting up. Just stuck on the logo. I can go into recovery mode and fastboot but that's it. I have no idea how to proceed.
8.2.4.0 (MHOMIDL)
Android version 6.0.1
I followed this guide to root my phone - r/Xiaomi/wiki/advanced/root (on reddit.com) (I can't link the link)
I would appreciate any help
Try to flash miui with my flash or something custom with twrp, if you need to backup data, you can do it with twrp.
its soft bricked....use mi flash tool to fladh fadtboot rom

Bootloop and red LED in Kenzo.

Hello, everyone. I was using Lineage OS 14.1 with Nougat 7.1.2 on my Redmi Note 3. My fingerprint was not working for some time, so today I decided to return to MIUI. I downloaded the last dev version and installed it via TWRP (now I know it was a mistake). My phone is dead. It's not turning on, it just keeps in the "Mi" boot logo. It's not even entering in Recovery mode neither Fastboot mode. When I try to enter Recovery mode, the Mi logo appears for just a second and then dissapears. When I try to enter Fastboot mode and when I connect it to the charger, the red LED starts to blink, and it's not EDL because my PC doesn't recognize it. I have a backup that I made before flashing MIUI, but I can't enter recovery mode. Please help me. Thanks.
You can flash MIUI on ZCX Twrp but on standard Twrp you must also flash Lazy flasher zip file along with ROM zip but above solutions are only if you have unlocked bootloader officially .
Hold Vol+ Pwr key for sometime first MI logo appears keep holding the keys don't release second time device will vibrate and again show MI logo now release keys & report what happens so I can guide you from there

It does nothing. I managed to release keys just after the logo appears and it keeps stuck at the logo.
I have my bootloader officially unlocked, though. What can I do?

How can I go to edl mode?
try to connect to pc by holding volume down you should be in fastboot mode
See for post in the guides section"INSTALL ZCX TWRP AND UNLOCK BOOTLAODER WITHOUT DATA LOSS KENZO"
this method will help you as I have also faced issue like you and recovered easily by this method in few minutes.
I had the same issue when I upgraded from CM13 to LOS14.1 a week ago. Did you unlock bootloader officially? If you did, just unlock bootloader oficially again and your phone should be working

Hello. I have the bootloader oficially unlocked. I managed to put the phone into fastboot mode, but my pc does not recognize. I think the charging port is damaged. I ordered it via Aliexpress. I will try this when it arrives.

Redmi Note4x ebbg touchscreen TWRP failing to display on screen

So this old thread - https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/help/strange-problem-black-screen-redmi-note-t3716706
used to work for me. I downloaded the v17 twrp given by highwaystar_ru, and flashed it via adb, rebooting to bootloader, then fastboot flash recovery twrp.img, then rebooting via power+vol up buttons.
However it is no longer working - there is no visual display.
adb devices detects the device in recovery mode
Touching my finger randomly on the screen, it vibrates. I verified that this actually still 'works' on the TWRP menu, so it's definitely the fault of TWRP just not displaying on my screen.
The official TWRP download does not seem to work either.
Any advice and experience is welcome, thanks
Hey can you try these TWRP and tell me if the problem persists:
Dark Recovery Project:

Redwolf Recovery Project:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...t/recovery-red-wolf-recovery-project-t3653704
Twrp Exclusive:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673956719939833541
Twrp exclusive(this might work for your black screen its for ebbg display so try it as well):
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962187416754473934
If the problem still persists then idk try restoring your phone to stock by Mi kdz files by following this guide if you dont know:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/guide-revive-redmi-note-4x-codename-t3703365
It says bricked but you can use it aswell, and try repeating the proccess of unlocking bootloader(now you can unlock it whenever you want because xiaomi has already given you the permission) and flashing a twrp again.
Hopefully i helped
Flashing all four of those links with fastboot flash recovery, then leaving the phone plugged in and pressing key combination to get back to recovery, do not work.
I have since fixed it. Not sure why it wasn't working, but here were my steps:
Install MiFlash tool.
Go to bootloader/fastboot mode on phone.
Flash an 8.1.11 ROM.
Then everything works from there, and can reinstall the v17 ebbg TWRP as usual.

Problem with Fastboot(trying to return to Stock MIUI from OOS beta 11

Hello everyone.
I'm currently using OP6-O2_beta_21 on my phone and i want to go back to stock rom.
I did the usual steps
1- shutdown phone
2- put phone on fastboot
3- connect to pc using the original cable(tried different ports usb 2 and also 3)
4- Open Xiaomi Mi Flash(using 2017.4.25.0)
5- When i click the REFRESH button on MiFlash my phone just "quit" the fastboot screen and a small text appears on the phone :
TAP KEY TO SHUTDOWN.
I tried a lot of times on my desktop and my notebook and it did not worked.
After I tried going to TWRP to flash a custom rom but after I did the wipes/factory reset and rebooted the phone on TWRP now the Touch do not work on TWRP( when i boot the phone again on OOS the touch works)
Now after this reset my OOS is really bugged and i can't even login on play store
Anyone can help?
