A while a go I got a xiaomi redmi note 3 from gearbest and it seems they installed a custom rom in it.
The version is miui 7.1 stable (7.1.99.99 LHOCNCL)
Kernel version 3.10.73-perf-gc7d7acd
How can I update the phone to the newest stable global version?
I tried to search on the forum but no luck.
Please if there is an easy way to do it, please post the thread link.

Follow these steps and you should be good to go.
1. Download the latest Fastboot Global Stable ROM from here - http://bigota.d.miui.com/V8.0.2.0.L...DG_20160805.0000.29_5.1_global_11a3c80166.tgz
2. Download the MiFlash Tool from here - http://api.bbs.miui.com/url/MiFlash
3. Follow this guide to the letter - http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html
At the end, you should have a working official MIUI ROM on your device.

As i mentioned above, i have a newly bought Redmi Note 3 (Snapdragon Variant). And i follow the instuction on India Miui forum http://forum.miui.co.in/forum/mi ... on-unlock-the-beast . In that, the op said that method work on Global Stable v 7.1.8 Fastboot Rom. But when i click the link, it dead. I think Xiaomi have removed that v7.1.8 rom. So if anyone here has v7.1.8 Global Stable Fastboot Rom stored on your pc, could you mind uploading it to some site such as Google Drive, 4shared, MediaFire.... and then please give me the link. Backup your data by system backup, then used mi flash tool to flash a global rom. I personally prefer global dev rom. There's a instruction for flashing miui official rom in the download section. If you prefer customer recovery, used flasher toolkit V1.05: http://en.miui.com/thread-296053-1-1.html, after you have twrp installed, you can easily changed to zcx twrp for flashing miui official rom and can do a nandroid backup. There are many version of twrp for redmi note 3 pro: read the newbies guide on twrp, please read and really understand those topics then started to flash whatever your preference. Good morning developers, I have the redmi note 3 standard edition running on the global stable ROM MIUI 8.1.1.0 it was updated to marshmallow last month. Please I need help on how to root and install a custom ROM such as lineageOS latest ROM. The bootloader is locked and I haven't flashed any recovery. I need to install MIUI 9 Global stable version on my Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon device. But now I'm installed Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 on my device. I need to install MIUI 9 using TWRP recovery.

put your device into fastboot
then flash this
