Awesome man! Thanks!

Can you somehow get the background to be perfectly pure black to save on battery? (Even though it would help not by to much anyways except if you have 2% left and want to boot it up and what's the harm in trying to save a few amount of power lol).

Just checked my phone. There is a 'Silent Boot' toggle option in the Notification and Sound menu.
Cheers

Thanks... I just deleted the file from system/media.

Oh man, this is great! I hate the default boot animation (I have the international Axon 7 so the boot animation sucks)
Thanks a bunch!

Anyway to find/backup the original Axon 7 Boot animation ?

Touble getting boot animations to work ...

I thought I would try to take some of the boot animations from ROM TOOLBOX (paid version), and get them to work on the Rezound. I'm not having any success. I've :
1. Changed the Width Height in the desc.txt file
2. Re-archived to Vigor_VZW_bootanimation.zip (with no compression)
3. Placed .zip in /system/customize/resource
Not getting any boot animations until I replace the original .zip (from Nils Business GingerSense 1.5)
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I started my way through the thread .... still working on it. I installed the tool mentioned here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=21321210
and was able to get a boot animation to work.... sometimes.... only after a hard boot, and I need to toggle the power button to get it off the white htc screen into the animation !?
Thanks for the offer, I think I should finish reading the entire thread and get back with you!

Turn off fastboot if it's not already off, also delete/rename hTC_bootanimation.zip . Then if you use the standard Verizon convention in your desc.txt(inside Vigor_VZW_bootanimation.zip) then it should fire on ever boot.
desc.txt(should be something similar to this)
540 960 15
p 1 1 beats
p 15 90 VZW

Fastboot is already off; HTC_bootanimation.zip is deleted (by NilsP, running his Business GingerSense V1.5, his custom boot animation runs fine).
Still appears to be some voodoo going on here....

Can you upload his custom one? Sometimes it's down to framerate. I've only ever gotten an animation to work properly at 15FPS.

Well Mr. Smith, I believe you hit the nail on the head. I don't want to upload another person's work without his explicit permission, but his framerate IS 15 fps. And every animation I've tried that's failed has a higher frame rate. I'll post back after I confirm.

You are using "wrong" combination of rom and kernel. Same story is with polishblood AOSP and sirkay's kernel.
Just let it re-boot few(2,3) times(it will charge it up enough to boot), disconnect charger, wait till re-boot process is over, and turn on your phone, then connect charger.

Ah yes, he put new animation for charging. But still permissions should be set correctly.
Can you go to system\semc\chargemon\data and check permissions on those images you find there. What permissions are set?

[Q] Replaced Build.prop and bricked

In a little bit of a panic. I replaced the build.prop on my phone with one of the defaults I found here (for p769v20d) and now my phone won't start up. I just see the LG logo and the screen stays black. I tried doing a hard reset and the little open android shows up, but it then goes black as well. I have root but removed cwm to install the update. My bootloader is locked. Is there anyway to fix this?

Sounds like you'll need to do an offline flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38677123.

Do you still get adb connection? How about taking your original build.prop (or from your original kdz) and:
adb push build.prop > /system
? Should work fine I guess

You should do a search for similar questions before making the same question thats already been answered
anyways, you should offline flash a fresh 10g kdz.. root it and then use rooted v20d cwm back up to restore u to rooted v20d.
worked perfectly for me

edit build.prop, phone won't boot. wtf?

I have noticed that I can no longer bill directly to my AT&T account with this phone, so I thought I'd try to modify my build.prop file to make it appear as a Galaxy Nexus and see if that would fix my issue. I copied the /system/build.prop file, edited the three lines that are the device fingerprints, pasted it back, and now my device just has a black screen with the backlight on and the soft keys are blinking. If I cold-boot it I can still get to Hboot/recovery so I know I'm not stuck. I'm just confused as why a build.prop would cause it to be stuck like that. Anyone have any ideas?

The build prop is essential to the device's functionality. It should be well known that an improper edit could cause issues, which is why I always make a backup before editing this file.
You can use adb to pull the build.prop file and fix the issue. Or get the original build prop from your rom zip and use adb to push the file to the device.
You could also create a flashable zip that flashes a new build prop only. I'm not super familiar with adb, so this is what I'd probably do. Though, I'm sure you've figured it out by now.

Did you make sure to set permissions back to what they're supposed to be? I edited build.prop once and didn't set permissions correctly and it failed to boot.
Also best to get a build.prop based on the AT&T version and add the lines necessary to your current build.prop rather than copy pasting a build.prop from another phone.
There's a zip file with a stock AT&T build prop in the development forum in the updated radio image thread.

Most of the time you can get into recovery, even if you can't boot into the ROM. You'll have to use the hardware shortcut to get into recovery. Long-press the power button until it stops blinking. Then, release the power button and immediately press/hold volume down. This will bring you to the bootloader; from there, you can get into recovery.
So, you have some options. Do you have a copy of the ROM zip on the device?

I assumed you were using an HTC One. I know absolutely nothing about that device; you'll have to ask in that section.

So i just installed this really cool boot animation, now i am just trying to get the boot sound to work.
I have tried every single bloody thing i can with no avail... The boot sound seems to be in system/media/audio/animationsounds and it's name is bootSound.ogg.
I downloaded the new sound i wanted and exactly changed it as should be but no.. The thing just won't play it
Ps: not even the original boot sound seems to be working
