Why my redmi note 3 pro powers on display even without touching the power button? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Sometimes the display opens itself when I touch it without touching at all the power button!!
Do you think it's a sw issue? I'm on 6.9.29 beta (I have the kate international version).
It's a very annoying problem because it happens very often when I put it in my pocket.

Umh I don't think there is something like this in stock MIUI, right?
I have not installed third part apps with wake gestures.

Disable wake screen on notifications from Settings > System and Device > Lock Screen and Fingerprint
This is a MIUI feature.

[Q] Touch sensitivity in ROMs other than stock on first taps

Hi I have been testing different ROMs and kernels (mainly based on CM9 and CM10), but in-all-but stock, the touch screen behaves differently. The first tap, and sometimes the second try, gets ignored by the phone (the button background doesn't change color or do the action) until another tap.
Anyone else noticing this difference? Also, it seems that you need to be more precise in other ROMs when tapping. Sometimes it scrolls for me instead of pressing the button. I get used to it, but the screen seems to work better, specially on first tap on the stock one. Any settting to try?

One key control

Hi!
As you might know, the capacitive keys on this phone are not great. I've been using Button Mapper for a while and it works pretty good. But there's one thing this app doesn't support: swipe gestures. So, is there any app to enable this? If you don't know what I mean, look at Huawei's implementation in the image. I believe Meizu has a similar control scheme.

Hmm fingerprint gestures may be very useful but I do not think so that we can get it on Axon

Sorry, I'm talking about the capacitive keys, not the fingerprint sensor.

Lockscreen Freeze Issue

I had to completely replace my Redmi Note 4X's Touch Screen due to damage. Since then I am experiencing a weird issue with this phone getting froze on lockscreen whenever I take it out from the pocket. Also Double Tap to Wake does not work.
I do not know if this issue is caused by a faulty replacement touchscreen (incompatible/MediaTek Varient) or due to proximity sensor.
Please! devs help me identify and resolve the issue.
refer to below screenshot with Touch Panel details.

Please someone with Redmi Note 4X (india) share his/her LCD panel details so it can be verified if mine has correct display or not.
I think my display has compatibility issue and I want to change it but Original Xiaomi display is costly therefore knowing the correct display spec for this variant will help find correct cheap Chinese display.
App I used to see h/w details as in above screen shot.

Android 10 gesture glitch

Hi.
Seems that an annoying gestures bug still affect the latest S10 public update (BSL4).

Can someone reproduce it?
Another one, this time with and without gestures suggestion bottom line (back to home interferes with scrolling):

I think the most annoying bug is the gesture on the home screen. Unlike the gestures within an app or on homescreens of iPhones or pixel phones, the phone doesn't react directly with fading out the home screen. You have to perform the gesture, and then the cards pop in. Since Samsung is forced to implement Google's gestures, and it behaves different here, I consider this as a bug. Although it is still present in new phones like a51.

We will see what happen with next monthly updates, otherwise I assume that a bug report will be necessary.
Yes, and in general the animations are just laggy especially if you have auto rotate on for the home screen and swiping up to close, always lag. Inconsistent with portrait ones too.

Question The display does not turn off during a call

The display does not turn off during a call, even when I have turned on "Turn on proximity sensor" in the settings
The display doesn't respond, so it's fine, the display just won't turn off.

Does it work for you?
I peeled off the "Tempered Glass Protector for ASUS ZF9" glass and everything works.
Same problem, some time during the call the screen is not turning off
there is a discussion about that on reddit

Its the same for me on A13. I had flashbacks with the broken proximity sensor on the Xperia 5 II and III I owned before, but it doesn't seem to be faulty sensor on the ZF. The sensor works and it ignores input touches when you put your hand over the earpiece, it just doesn't turn off the screen as it should. Just software bug, could be fixed.

Its not in the system settings, its in the phone app settings. It doesn't make a difference turning it on or off tho.
Sorry, it's been a while.
I no longer had the strength to solve so many bugs on ZF9.
Buy a Samsung S23
