i have a xiaomi redmi note 3 pro 32 gig and get this phone 2 day ago. i have miui 7 rom and my battery drain very fast
i put my phone in standby from 1am to 6 am, my battery percentage 60 to 30. what is the problem? is the problem from battery of software rom?

Weird because mostly miui 7 have a great battery sot than miui 8. Miui 8 drain battery fast than miui 7.
I wouldnt say thats true... maybe it was, but ita not anymore...MIUI8 has atleast same battery backup if not better
Maybe you have a vendor rom?

i'm planning to get either 1 of the phones mentioned in the title, does anyone know which one has better battery performance?
rn3 use more power because of larger screen (5.5" vs 5"), more pixels (FHD vs HD), more powerful processor & gpu
It's gives me 1 full day easily even with moderate usage... Eg. 3hrs music, 1hr30min Movie, some calls, 3G/Wi-Fi on mostly, some pics, some videos and I still have 20% remaining..
I find this good..

From what I've heard they're pretty much the same (around 10h sot).
friend has redmi 3 and it get almost every time about 12h sot (never under 10h sot) and 2 days of use with calls, messaging, browsing, games. this phone has really good battery backup, better then rn3
I sold Redmi 3 Pro. I got there ~10-12 SoT. I now have Redmi Note 3 Pro... but you need to wait for me to report it (i got it today).
Mention me after ~5 days.
Getting 3 days usage on miui , 2,5 on cm13 . Around 10-12 sometimes 13h SOT

Nope, Redmi 3Pro is much better. Got both of them with xiaomi.eu Rom.

but both r3p and rn3p report around 10h SoT.
I have rn3p and can confirm I usually get around 10h SoT with MIUI/AOSP/CM13

Strange question really. Completely different phones for different segments. Both have excellent battery life, the decision should be between size and processor etc. For me the RN3P is a fantastic value in terms of performance/price/battery life. I don't think anything can match it based on those three criteria.
Just from my experience with the RN3 Pro:
Battery life is fantastic, imo. Easily lasts for 3 days every-day use without ever getting near a point where I really look for the next charge (<15%). Even playing demanding games I would estimate it will last for more than 5 hours (haven't played that long yet, though).
It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

Is it MIUI9?
If so, could you give me the address?
Just swapped my mi max 2 with my wife's RN4 SD and all I get is 4hrs 30 screen on time. Not sure why this is so poor compared to other users. The mi max was 10hrs sot east and thought these were about same.
Think I may need to see if any apps are running.
Edit. My android system has used 74% of my battery today. Any idea how to solve that?
I am getting 6+ hours SoT, with my Bad network coverage.
Did a factory restore and got 11 hours sot after only getting 4hrs. That's much better:fingers-crossed:

What am i doing wrong guys? I just bought an SD version of the Note 4 in hope of 6-8 hour of sot, first day passed and only 4 and a half hour sot wit 17 hour of standby time (now i'm at 26% battery). I haven't even installed any apps (Messenger Lite and Chrome, nothing else). Rom is Miui Global 8.5 stable 8.5.4.0.

Unlock bootloader and install a good custom rom or miui9 and enjoy

I'd say that get it checked from the xiaomi service center under your warranty. Even if the problem isn't real, it doesn't hurt to get it checked. You might even figure something out by that and anyways it's free

Reflash stock ROM, stock kernel, lock bootloader and check the usage for 2 days, while taking necessary logs for battery discharge. If the discharge rate is poor, get to the service center.
And yes, 0% battery is unusual especially for a built-in battery.

Its a snapdragon, 3gb ram
I dont know if only on wifi, on airplane mode is the same, but i dont remember if wifi was on or not.
I can disable wifi all time to try

Clean flash your oreo rom. Try out other kernel, don't tweak anything. I use xenial 20x kernel. Then you can use magisk v16 for root. As under examination, install minimal set of your apps. Check for battery.

I'm experiencing same here.
I just bought the device 2 days and battery on MIUI10 can't even take for the whole day
No issues here. I'm still charging every 3rd day.
My battery is also discharging much faster than miui 9
yep! my phone's battery life has definitely reduced after updating to MIUI 10. Only noticeable if you're a heavy user.
Also, I've noticed now the phone doesn't charge with same speed, while playing PUBG side by.

Now I am waiting for 9.0 and hope it will be turn back to old days.

Can we go back to MIUI 9.6.14 which is my first version out of the box? Im rooted and TWRP installed. I also have a full backup of my 9.6.14 using TWRP. Can i just restore this image using TWRP? TIA.

I am on LiquidRemix (9.0) rom battery is better than Miui 9 which I was running before. I play you tube 10 mins it discharged 2%.
I think it would be hard to kill this phone on one day with LiquidRemix rom.

With more than 2 days? For me yes. I did 10h of SOT but not in 2 days.
Well not for 2 days, but for 2 days i make around 5:30-6 hours and Mi8 is with 3400mAh. So on Poco should be much better, like AT LEAST 7, 7:30 hours for 2 days.

Nowadays I only get about to 3.5 hrs of sot and if I use it lightly it dies within 12 hrs, Miui astable 10.3.4

Same here. Used to play 5h of pubg when the phone was new. Never wanted to unlock bootloader but looks like trying another ROM is only option left.
