I would like to thank/recognize the following people for their contributions:
@jcadduono - For the original 10d system dump, kernel, and of course for TWRP
@Chainfire - For SuperSU
@nyfl2004 - For our working Viper4Android, 3Minit Battery and Clock modded to the V20, and for all of his help with getting Aroma up and running
@ivicask - For looking through my convoluted Aroma setup and helping identify why it was randomly breaking
@topjohnwu - For his most excellent Magisk and MagiskSU apps allowing our rooted devices to pass SafetyNet and catch 'em all!
@AllTheWay - For providing me with the AT&T system dump needed to port my customizations over, and being my guinea pig to get it booting
@Tilde88 - For all of his work in getting a stable kernel going for the V20, and allowing me to include it in my ROM
@USA-RedDragon - For his Werewolf kernel, and allowing me to include it in my ROM

Current Known Issues:
H918
Some people have experienced skips when listening to music over Bluetooth. I too have had it happen, but it is not at all common, and lasts less than a fraction of a second. Putting your phone either on vibrate or DND seem to help further reduce occurrences.
H910
4.0 is based on 10L, not M, as my dump of that one would not boot. WiFi Calling and VoLTE do work, however.
All Variants
Data Wipe option in Aroma doesn't always work. This is a glitch related to newer hardware and Nougat, as verified on the HTC 10 as well. If you expected your data to be wiped, but it was not, please reboot into TWRP, perform a Factory Reset, and then flash the ROM again. You MUST flash the ROM again after a factory reset, or you will lost systemless root AND your internal storage may encrypt.
Netflix - They have blocked their app from unlocked/rooted devices. You can sideload it from APK Mirror, or use Magisk to hide root from Google Play Store, then clear data on the Play Store. Your device will then show as Certified and all blocked apps will be available.
As any more come up, they'll be added here, and then fixed ASAP.

Pre-Install Steps
If you are not already on TWRP 3.0.2.0-RC8 or higher, do that first! Bootloops and loss of access to recovery is possible with all older builds
Backup your existing ROM
Notes
I recommend wiping data and flashing clean, if coming from another custom ROM. This should not be required, but you may wind up with FCs if you don't. A clean flash is required if you're on an older custom ROM, or older stock based on 10d.
If you're already on an older build of my ROM, you can dirty flash future updates. However if you experience FCs, please do a clean flash

Changelog:
v5.0 T-Mobile
Updated base to 10K (May 2017)
Added Google Pixel Launcher from Android O Beta 2
Updated all Google Apps except Maps
Reverted Maps due to GPS issues for some
Updated Aroma to 3.00 Beta Downgraded back to Aroma 2.70RC2 in fixed build
Cleaned up the app lists somewhat
If Aroma freezes during the install, pull the battery and start again - this only happened to me once, in over 30 test flashes
Rearranged some of the menus for better flow
Spent a good 4 hours rewriting the installer-script to make it look a lot less ugly
Added Werewolf kernel by @USA-RedDragon in place of NotSoStock
Available without root as well
Further tweaked the memory utilization in build.prop, allowing background apps to remain in RAM longer
I think there's a few other changes, I just can't remember them at the moment. Roughly 20 hours into this update, brain is mush.
NOTE: Due to the changes to memory utilization in build.prop, your first boot after the update may cause the phone to lag. This will clear up within 5 minutes, and will not occur after subsequent reboots.
v4.0 T-Mobile
Added New Options for No Root Installs
Stock and NSS kernels available without root
3minit and V4A options still work
Updated all Google, LG, T-Mobile apps
Updated Nova Launcher
Updated Magisk to 11.6 (12.0 finicky on V20)
Removed Adaptive Brightness mod (was glitchy)
Several additional build.prop tweaks
Added Optional Apps
Google Voice
SMS Backup and Restore
Speedtest.net
Removed Pixel Launcher - Assistant interferes
v4.0 AT&T
ROM base updated to 10L (10M won't boot)
Added New Options for No Root Installs
3minit and V4A options still work
Removed Werewolf kernel
Updated all Google, LG, AT&T apps
Updated Nova Launcher
Updated Magisk to 11.6 (12.0 finicky on V20)
Several additional build.prop tweaks
Added Optional Apps
Google Voice
SMS Backup and Restore
Speedtest.net
Removed Pixel Launcher - Assistant interferes
Now some notes and observations:
There was a report of the ROM not froze at the AT&T splash. If this occurs to you, first wait 5 minutes to make sure it really is frozen. Then, pull the battery and then boot up again. The Android is Starting screen will then come up as expected.
There was also one issue where the ROM wouldn't boot past the AT&T splash. For this, boot into TWRP, flash the AT&T boot.img (attached to the download post) using the IMG flash option, then flash Magisk 11.6 (also attached), then reboot as normal. I'm also uploading a patch to AFH, which should automate this process. Give it a try and report back.

Yeah, I was big into development in WM 5 and through to WM 6.5 up until I got the Droid X in 2010. It's gonna take some time, but I'm getting back into development as a whole.

Feedback
@NotATreoFan great job bro, bootup was fast as you advertise, wow, no lags or stutters i can say so far, only issue for me is that some LG apps need to be put back in, namely the LG app updater as Home and App apk has an update as well as the weather widget and Memo for the capture feature, but other than that for me its definitely a good start for a DD, thanks

Great work on the ROM!
Question, how did you get the post-install apps to not install?

I think it's from one of the LG items I removed. Going to experiment tomorrow morning and see if I can make them install again.
I also realized that I accidentally removed Calendar Storage, so that'll be fixed tomorrow as well.

@NotATreoFan thank you for this broham!!!!!
I just flashed Tilde88's latest and after a night of testing his tonight I will be flashing yours to test out. You all are so highly skilled and keep up the unbelievable work.
When I'm up and running with yours tomorrow I will report back and do a comparison of the 2 ROMs.
If there is anything I can do as far as testing holler at me, I'm down to tear up my phone.
Again, thank you and keep em coming baby!!!!

i got the post-install apps to stop installing by changing the model number in the build prop the the US unlocked version.
Also to the OP how the hell did you get the ROM to deodex successsfully every time I do it i get stuck at the TMO boot animation

It's not deodexed yet. That's my plan for today, along with some bug fixes.

oh ok. Yeah every time i've done it with superRs kitchen i cant get past the TMO boot animation. Someone did successfully do it as there is a rom up thats deodexed.

you know the bravia reality engine thing the other rom has. Do mods like that (framework) require that the rest of the ROM is deodexed? I know apps needed to be deodexed for editing but didnt know if it affects other mods.
Usually just do CM stuff

Is there any chance you can upload JUST a system IMG? I'm seeing if I can get this working on the US996...

I don't believe you need to have the complete ROM deodexed, just the parts you're modifying. But I could be wrong since I've only done this a few times.

As soon as I get the latest test build booting, I'll make a system.img and you can try it. There really shouldn't be a reason it wouldn't boot. It just may behave weird if there are files it's not expecting.

[ROM] zerorom v0.4 (GSM/CDMA, CWM Install)

Hi everyone... here's my first crack at a custom ROM for the Xperia Play. And this is very beta. Once things get more solid, I'll make this first post a lot more proper. As it stands, this is for people who aren't worried about being on the edge.

Data, SMS, MMS, Wifi, Home button, back button, Google Voice Navigation all working.
Installation instructions:
I've been trying to get a proper flashable update.zip which would include the DoomKernel, however I have been getting bootloops, so for now, installing consists of restoring a Nandroid backup. This, of course, requires a kernel with CWM recovery, so you must already have DoomKernel installed at the moment.
These instructions will get much more properly fleshed out later on.
Quick and dirty steps:
1) Enter Recovery menu with preflashed DoomKernel.
2) Wipe all userdata
3) Wipe all caches
4) Wipe Dalvik Cache
5) Install the zerorom zip from your SD card.
At this point, reboot and you should be booting into the ROM. There's a good chance you'll see the boot logo two or three times before it boots properly. This is normal and no reason to be alarmed. This is basically the dalvik2cache and zipalign scripts running.
CDMA Users:
Install with the same build as below. Follow the same instructions. As long as you have not wiped /system when you attempt to install zerorom, it will detect that you are running on CDMA. It checks this by going by what your /system/build.prop says. If that file does not exist, installation could fail.
Installation failure when /system is wiped before install:
If you are missing /system/build.prop, you could write the following into a text file: "ro.product.device = R800x" for CDMA users or "ro.product.device = R800i" for GSM users. Then push this file to /system/build.prop. Then restart installation and you should be good.

Don't go that way: in Sony's Xperia line for this year, kernels are not flasheable through recovery, because the recovery must be contained in the kernel. Thus, kernels must be flashed with fastboot, separate from the rest.
!

I have most of the features though xD

Is there any source for this info?
As for Facebook, I'm looking deeper into how tied it is to the other apps. It's definitely something that will probably disappear soon.

If that helps you some, in my old system image GP2Xperia I made Facebook in its wholeness disappear from the phone. It's just a couple of apk's, nothing to be worried about. However, you may want to prepare a Facebook-adding update.zip just in case.

I removed it completely as a test (along with SE Syncing tools and their custom FB stuff) and found that simply installing FB from the market brings back most of what you'd get anyways, so it'll be removed from the next version. Liveware Manager will also be removed since it can just be installed from the market.

i said thank you (though not in those 2 words), gave the dev a thumbs up, and am currently running the rom to test it out and feed back to the dev any issues (if any) there may be in this package. i was just merely pointing out that in my eyes, fb is bloat and (to me) not as clean as i'd hoped.
so far it is a good rom, funcional, and a very good start for the devs first play attempt in a very limited custom rom world (for the play, at the moment), and i greatly look forward to future releases
v0.2 is in the middle of uploading. Sorry, no update.zip to update to the new version yet. I'll start creating those soon.
SE Sync, SE Facebook, Facebook, LiveWare all removed. Added rom name/version to build.prop.
EDIT: Done uploading, link: http://www.multiupload.com/3W86RKRKOM
My facebook patch will work fine

I am not including the hboot and I do not recomend you update it as of yet either as it will prevent you from reverting to previous ROM versions.
Out of alpha and into Beta, xposed installer and sense5 toolbox included in mods install in aroma. Please do not ask for RUU downloads and don't ask for updates it is likely this will not have any major changes until the RUU is made public. I will keep you posted as progress continues.

Google Services Framework Fix (step by step instructions)This will fix Play Store issuesMAKE A NAND BACKUP OF YOUR NON WORKING ROM
Code:
STEP 1: Restore a working backup (one you know play store worked on)
STEP 2: Download a windows android file browser (I recommend Android Comander)
STEP 3: Connect your device to your PC, Open the android file browser
STEP 4: Browse to /data/data and locate "com.google.android.gsf"
STEP 5: Copy the folder from STEP 4 to your sdcard (remember this location)
STEP 6: Restore your non working ROM from in recovery, Reboot
STEP 7: using a root explorer (or the windows android browser) locate the folder from STEP 5
STEP 8: Copy the folder from STEP 5 into /data/data make sure you choose to overwrite the folder and files
STEP 9: Reboot (You must reboot first, do not immediately try to open play store)
STEP 10: Once rebooted test Play Store, Google Plus and Hangouts all should work fine.
I realize this seems like a daunting task just to fix the Play Store,
but there is no easier way at this point to accomplish this the Google account MUST exist before restoring this folder
in order for the fix to work.

Insecure boot image lets you use adb remount, and adb push or adb pull etc. to /system and its contents.
also the included boot image has init.d support, sdcard performance tweaks and evitareul_common tweaks. so you will get better performance when streaming large video files or playing music from your /data/media folder
great but 1 bug
Flashed the rom and everything is working, except Google search. Every time I use voice search I get Google search has stopped. Super smooth though. Great work.

[B]V3.0.1[/B]
Just an update that is mostly Themed. Flash V3, then this. This works without xposed. So it MAY work with any ZV6 Rom.
Themed Messaging. No more Gawd Awful Yellow!!! Blends with stock theme now.
Themed Navbar - To get the Navbar to work with apps, Select "White Gradation" in Settings>Display>Home Touch Buttons>Color.
New bootani. - Courtesy of @HPTesla
Added oversharpening script from Skin1980 to the kernel. - so, new Stock kernel.
[B]V3[/B]
Updated SuperSU so we shouldn't have to update binaries - installs a whole different way
Stock ZV6 kernel with init.d and kexec support - MultiRom compatible
Native host files - you don't need an ad blocker app anymore
executable zipalign binaries - it'll run in terminal
Updater-script will delete a lot of junk files now
Qslide fix for WIFI calling - no longer stuck at the 4th slot
build.prop changes - removed some, fix a couple
init.d scripts - removed a couple that weren't doing anything
Most of everything since V2
This took a lot of work so there's probably other small things I forgot
V 2.3.1_beta
This can be used on any stock ROM and any ZV6 version.
1.Using the APN from Vanir as it's the most thorough one out. It SEEMS to give better reception for phone, data, and the handshake between LTE/eHRPD/3G is better. THIS is why this is beta. [B]You must have your phone all setup before using this!!![/B] It will not work on a fresh install. Also, it doesn't allow APN changes other than Sprints. Hotspot MAY work but unknown.
2. Removed MLT, and LGLIA apk's. More LG tattletales.
3. Fixed a couple of my goofs in build.prop. Got rid of the hiccup as I call it.
4. Added LG KB Black Theme for those that use LG KB.
5. init.d script changes
V 2.3 Includes everything from V2, and
build.prop edits for battery, speed and reception
Added LG FM Radio to /data (uninstallable) - It requires the headphone but will play through the speakers when plugged in. Headphones seem to act as the antennae. Thanks to @anvicota for this
Updated Sprint VoiceMail
V2.2 -Includes 2.1 plus-
Hopefully fixed install of bootani for people coming from Stock or Flashtool
Modified platform.xml - SD card fix?
Modified mixer paths- less increase on BT only. - Hopefully fixes distortion some were having
Install of Rin Kernel - installing a different way for the very few - again, hopefully
build.prop to reflect BarRin_2.2 in Software info
V2.1 - New Rin Kernel and BarRin bootani.
V2 - Like the original Barren. Nice and slim.
Removed most all, LG, Sprint apps
Added xposed and Tweakbox - removable
Some apps moved to /data
init.d scripts
Increased and FIXED Aux_out mixer path
Now installing with "Rin" kernel.
V1
Many apps removed but still giving the LG Stock experience. Still has Concierge, Smart Cards, Weather, OK Google on all screens, etc
A few build.prop mods - LG's mistake, All split window apps
Sd card fix
mixer_paths
Updated LG Keyboard, Quickmemo, Sprint voicemail - all can be uninstalled
Donators - ( Never asked for, but very much appreciated. Thank you )

You'll need to flash either BarRin V1 Odexed or Deodexed first. Then flash this. This SHOULD work on both and update you to V2.

SD cards
SD cards are becoming an issue for some reason. If you've followed ALL the instructions in the OP, and are still having issues, you may need to wipe your ext SD. And sometimes Internal as well.
Remove your ext SD and boot up.
If the problems are solved then you need to format your SD card in Windows or Linux as Fat32 no matter what size your card is. DO NOT USE TWRP to format Ext SD.
Root
If SuperSU has issues updating it's binaries, you may need to flash This when you flash the ROM.
Thanks Holmes. Downloading now.
One more...just in case
Thanks Team Stooge. Downloading now, will report back with any issues I come across.

Check your md5 and or re-download. I personally recommend downloading to pc then move to phone. I have flashed it about 4 times since last night and no issues like that. Be sure to wipe cache, dalvik, system and data.

This won't effect this rom too much as @HPTesla had the kernel about ready for Primtime.
But it does/will effect the future of our beloved G3. When we finally get L, were screwed. Just thought I'd let you all know.

Tell me about it. It's friggin ridiculous what some people try and pull.
I started looking at n6. If I bought on from Sprint to play with is there gonna be any kind of lock. Or is it strait forward. I still love this phone but reading that article made me a little nervous.
So when we actually do get an official L there's no way of making it flashable?

A big hello to everyone seems to be the right words to start with.
A couple of weeks ago i've decided to say goodbye to HTC after many years and got my hands on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Running around with a stock version felt bad so i've started flashing custom roms within 2 hours after unboxing it. After flashing many of the custom roms i started working on a pesonal rom and started off with the DevBase by ALEXNDR and went on until i had a stable deodexed version with just those tiny changes to make my day. Now i think it's time to share the rom and find out what all of you think about it. Don`t forget i`m new to the world of Samsung and learning every single day, don`t expect high class development at first, it will get better as we roll.
Main goal of this thread and rom is to create a smooth and most of all stable rom that is friendly towards the battery, there's enought higly developed roms out there for those that seek all the extra`s for their daily driver. I will start providing flashable zips containing fixes, mods and add-ons once i get to know my way around the N4 and Samsungs way of buiding their roms.
Please read all the info posted in this thread before flashing! Make sure you know what you're doing just to be on the safe side. Before posting anything i have tested and flashed it many times but this doesn`t mean there is no risk involved in flashing my work. I'm not responsible for bricked devices or other issues you may face after flashing my work! Keep this in mind when you decide to flash anything provided in this thread.
Changelog between ALEXANDR's DevBase BOD2 and Project N4 B1.1:
- Fully Deodexed
- Added 5 way Reboot options
- pushed device overall volume a little less compared to B1.0
- Added Modded Camera
- Added Modded Telecom.apk removing ascending ringtone volume
- Cleaned the app list without loosing functionality
- Added Latest AdBlocking hosts file
- Added Memory Leak Fix ( thanks to robocik )
Note:
You'll need the latest modem and bootloader files to run this rom, if you`re running the wrong versions you`ll end up in a bootloop! The proper modem and bootloader files can be found in the download folder along with the Rom zip. I trust you all know how to use Odin in order to flash them
Changelog between ALEXANDR's DevBase BOC5 and Project N4 B1.0:
- Fully Deodexed
- Added 5 way Reboot options
- pushed device overall volume
- Cleaned the app list without loosing functionality
- Added Latest AdBlocking hosts file
- Added Memory Leak Fix ( thanks to robocik )
None as far as i know, so please share if you find one.
Always make sure you're running latest bootloader and modem before flashing this rom to prevent bootloop.
Also make sure you're running latest TWRP of CWM recovery.
Download the rom zip file and check MD5 checksum.
Copy the rom zip file to your (ext.) storage.
Reboot in to recovery and flash the rom zip file.
When flashing is done reboot your device and wait patiently untill the boot finishes ( This can take a while ).
When you're on stock before flashing this no wipe is needed for a safe flash, if you're running a different rom
or when you do run in to trouble a wipe in recovery will save your day,

@LeeDroid just for being my friend, tutor and master in development.
@The Great Dane for becomming my friend and putting up with me even in the darkers hours. Thank you for seeing the things the way i see them and backing me up in times of need!
Since this is based on ALEXANDR DevBase all additional options also go for this rom. Visit his thread and thank him for his hard work! Below i copy/pasted the additional features ( i know i`m lazy ) hoping he won`t mind. Please let me know if you do mind my lazyness so i can remove the text below.
Additional info that comes with this ALEXNDR.N910FXXU1BOC5 based rom:
1. Base:
- Multi CSC (list of natively supported CSC as above) (*)
- Removed KNOX (apps, agent, container, etc..)
- Rooted (SuperSU 2.46 app + binary), BusyBox 1.23.1
- Odexed (original, untouched framework & apps)
- All original features are present and works
- Able to write to extSdCard by all applications
- No visual changes (100% stock look)
- Stock kernel
- Safe De-Bloated (more info below)What does it mean and why is it called "safe"?
- ONLY apps available in stores are removed from DevBase, so you can easy (re)install any of these app if you like
- ONLY pre-installed system apps are removed, DevBase installer never touch any updated app nor app installed manually from store
Thus, the following conclusions can be drawn:
1. If you install my DevBase directly over stock ROM without performing "Wipe data" - in most cases almost all these apps will remain untouched, because almost all apps have been updated already (stored on /data). But then you will be able to remove any useless app using the "Application manager", like any other app. Removed manually app will not appear again until you use my DevBase while updating.
2. If you perform "Wipe data" while installing my DevBase - then all apps listed below will be removed. If you would like to use any of these apps - just install it manually from appropriate store. Installed manually app will not be removed during the next DevBase update.
Removed apps list:
Chrome
Drive
Dropbox
Evernote
Facebook
FB Messenger
FB Pages Manager
Flipboard
Google+ / Photos
Hangouts
Instagram
PEN.UP
Play Books
Play Games
Play Movies
Play Music
Play Newsstand
Smart Remote
WhatsApp
2. Init.d Support (*):
- Init.d support without need of use custom kernel (details)
3. CscFeature MOD (*) (enabled some built-in, hidden features):
- Added shutter sound menu in Camera
- Sending/receiving MMS without data on
- Added "Exit Internet" option to stock browser
- Added call button in Phone Logs
- Added "Call/Message block" option in Settings
- Added symbols as secondary keys in Samsung keyboard
- Call Recording (manual control, added "Record" button)
(*) - these options can be controlled by editing options.prop file (you can find such file in ZIP's root directory). Just place modified options.prop file (use e.g. Notepad++ to edit) in the root directory of internal emulated scdard (/data/media/0) or extSdCard (recommended if you plan to format internal emulated sdcard) and then start the installation.
Footnote:
After being around in the HTC corners of XDA it`s very nice to find out how kind the developers are within the Note 4 section of our beloved forums! Didn`t expect to meet so many nice people after having my share of "*****fights" in the HTC section. I do hope to make some new friends on this side, and will never forget the few friends that sticked with me in the HTC section.

If only I could, HTC features all hang on HTC Framework and Launcher so I don't think we've got much chance of porting it to the Note 4.

I will as soon as I update the rom, still hoping to get some feedback to find out if the rom is also stable and smooth for others.
Thanks for your great job!
Could you please add volume buttons skip tracks function?
I think that would be amazing, nobody did it until now and it's something very useful.
Cheers.

Here are flashable versions of the stock Moto X Style & Pure ROMs built from the factory images using SuperR's Kitchen.
No modifications of any kind were done to them, except for the deodexed versions, which were created from the odexed images.
V2 update: Deodexed versions of the stock ROMs have been updated to v2, which include current Google Apps,
and should resolve random closing issues.
Installation:
Custom recovery (TWRP) is required.
If you are already on stock:
Factory reset (not needed, but recommended)
Flash your desired stock version. BE SURE TO GET THE CORRECT ONE FOR YOUR PHONE MODEL!
For root, download SuperSU and flash it.
For Xposed, download and flash Xposed Framework too (flash "xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64.zip" in recovery and install "XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk".)
Reboot.
If you are on another ROM (ex. CM, Slim, etc.):
Factory reset
Flash your desired stock version. BE SURE TO GET THE CORRECT ONE FOR YOUR PHONE MODEL!
For root, download SuperSU and flash it.
For Xposed, download and flash Xposed Framework too (flash "xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64.zip" in recovery and install "XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk".)
Reboot.

If using the deodexed version: during boot after a fresh factory reset, give it about 3-5 minutes. After that, the screen will go black for almost a minute, followed by the boot animation playing again. I'm not sure why it does that, but after that hiccup, the ROM will work fine as if nothing happened.

Semi-stock ROM (personal build)
for Moto X Pure (X1575)
Android version: 5.1.1 | Build: LPH23.116-18
Last updated: 11-02-2015
Here is a personal build of mine that is tweaked the way I believe it should be.
Although most are minor changes, and nothing awesome like Cataclysm for Nexus 5, it is enough for me to enjoy the ROM more and fix what Motorola missed.
This is for the Pure (X1575) only!
What's in my semi-stock build?
Deodexed
Busybox
Fully compatible with Android Pay
NOTE 1: If Android Pay did not work for you, even on complete stock, it will not magically work on this build either.
NOTE 2: Before using Android Pay, disable SuperSU in the app's settings first. After you are done making your transaction, re-enable SuperSU.
Screenshots of Android Pay in action earlier today (as of 10-20-2015) when I went to buy a $25 Google Play Gift Card using my Google Wallet card on this ROM.
ViPER4Android FX included and preconfigured with super audio driver
Configuring ViPER4Android FX:
Be sure to either set the kernel to permissive using an app like SELinux Changer, or use a Tasker task to allow ViPER to run in enforcing.
Disable the stock Audio Effects setting under Settings > Sound & notification > Audio Effects.
Set V4A to compatible mode.
*Only tested with Google Play Music and Spotify.

Code:
"Home" > "Launcher"
"Model number" > "Model name"
"One does not simply become a developer"
Changed tap/pay help URL from Moto's to Google's
Expanded battery saver options from %0 (none) to %30

Installation:
Custom recovery (TWRP) is required.
1. Make a backup of your apps using Titanium Backup or the like.
2. Factory reset to ensure of no issue
3. Flash the semi-stock ROM
4. Reboot.
5. Restore apps using Titanium Backup or the like.
During boot after a fresh factory reset, the screen will go black for almost a minute, followed by the boot animation playing again. I'm not sure why it does that (even with the stock deodexed version), but after that hiccup the ROM will work fine as if nothing happened.
For Xposed, download and flash Xposed Framework too (flash "xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64.zip" in recovery and install "XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk". THIS CAUSES SPORADIC COMPATIBILITY WITH ANDROID PAY! USE AT YOUR DISCRETION.)

Quick question how is your battery life on your semi stock rom, based on your personal experience.
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
I have been trying to get mine to be able to boot. Awesome job...
This is not a CM based rom.. and layers requires AOSP type rom's..
Can't get exposed to install properly per your instructions. Downloaded many times. Installs through recovery but states its not been installed in installer app. Modules say they require brige version 2 for greenify and 54 for apm+ mods. Never seen these errors and I have been running exposed since inception.
FYI if you guys want viper to work under normal mode flash extreme music mod it works for me on stock I don't know what's the difference but its working. For about a month now.
I use Dolby atmos along with it and works nicely together.

Flashed deodex version on 1572 and it went through the boot animation but stuck on the Motorola screen and wouldn't boot in to the system.

The deodexed version is for the Pure Edition XT1575 only.
Edit - I should be more specific... The custom one is for XT1575 only. Is that what you flashed?
some weird behavior on deodexed rom - can't turn on volte provisioning flag (yes works on my stock backup) everytime phone boots drive, slides etc.. apps run for 1 sec and get closed kind of weird.
I will have to go back to my backup for now I was hoping this would work :/
Here is how I tried to manually turn it on and it did not allow me.
*#*#4636#*#*
then phone and turn on volte provisioning flag.
on stock moto volte of course works and I can turn on/off the flag. Hopefully you can fix this so I can flash back thank you

If you're doing a clean wipe and are using the deodexed version, let it sit on the Moto boot animation for about 3 to 5 minutes. The screen will then go black for a minute, followed by the boot animation playing again. I don't know why it does that, but afterwards it'll boot up fine.

The current APKTool (2.0.2 as of this post) could be the cause at the moment. I will update the deodexed versions again once a newer build of it is released.
V2 versions of the deodexed stock ROMs are being uploaded to AFH first to (hopefully) fix the random closing issues of Google Apps by replacing them with up-to-date versions of each app.
I will add them to OP during class as it doesn't look like they'll finish before I leave out again.
