Radio for Kate - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hi. i have the RN3 pro kate version , and after i flashed kanzo rom (by mistake ) and getting back to kate version ,i lost radio. I'm not able to turn it on.
i have a root and unlocked bootloader .
i flashed HMnote3Pro_6.7.21_modem.zip -but nothing!
i flashed lazyflasher-no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip - but nothing!
is there a way to reset the modem chip ?
please i really need help with that.
thank you !

Use miflash and download kate rom(fastboot version) and flash it with miflash. Modem will work after that.

Hi. I did it already and still nothing.

Is there a solution now? Got the same problem. Already flashed both official roms for kate (clean flash), different kate firmwares but can't turn on radio. The correct Imeis are there.

Extract non-hlos from official miui kate rom and flash it in fastboot using adb.

same like mine
i flash kenzo modem in my kate, and its fix the issue
i dont know why, but its okay for now,

1) Yep. You need proper drivers along with Windows 64 bit though.
2) Theoretically you should be able to but it doesn't seem to be working for 99 percent of the people. However you can flash it through mi flash.
Hit thanks if I helped you ?

[Q&A] Change the EU ROM to the Global ROM

Hi
how can in change stock EU Rom To stock Global Rom ?
thanks
My Rom Ver Is : V10.3.12.0.PFQEUXM
I Found This Stock Roms:
- V10.3.8.0.PFQMIXM FastBoot Ver
- V10.3.9.0.PFQMIXM FastBoot Ver
- V10.3.4.0.PFQMIXM FastBoot Ver
And
- V10.3.9.0.PFQMIXM Recovery Ver
.
Flash the fastboot ROM. You will probably need to perform factory reset (mine phone did not boot when I tried to switch ROMs with old data).
Btw. why do you want to go to global variant?

but he's phone surfer from noise in stock camera (in live-preview and captured, photos and videos )
- in other camera apps everything works perfectly ( But In my Mi a3 with global firmware and everything works fine )
i'm going to change stock firmware with another different firmware to test camera (maybe solve he's issues )

I don't believe that it will help to solve any issue with stock camera, but it won't hurt trying. Just download full fastboot ROM and run "flash_all.bat" script. Don't forget that it will wipe your data, so backup anything important.
Have you changed to the global version? My A3 is also the EU version. btw, is there an update difference between eu and global?

mi a3 Rom question- about EU rom and global

Mine is running on 10.3.13.0 PFQEUXM or Europe rom. Im trying to install custom recovery and root it later. I'm in the process of downloading the files like the fastboot rom just incase i have to go back to stock or if something goes wrong. I also prefers to use global rom since im not in the Europe region. My question is if its okay to flash Global version or will it brick the device?

I heard somebody accidentally flashed EU ROM on global version of the device when restoring the device using MiFlash.
While it did not brick the phone, the wifi Mac address get messed up. So I don't recommend you to try this.
It is better to flash the ROM that correspond to your device varient, just in case something goes bad.
Switching between EU/GLOBAL works fine, it doesn't brick anything. When I tried it I had to perform factory reset, otherwise the phone did not boot up. So far no one came with confirmed list of differences, it is being speculated that EU ROM has better privacy protection due to more strict EU laws and that headphones volume is limited to conform the EU laws. But again, there hasn't been provided a single proof for these claims and it seems that they are functionally the same, sharing the same features (and bugs). In the past months, Global version received OTA update few days in advance of EU, but the latest update arrived at the same time. Personally I don't have any problem with the EU ROM.
Thanks guys, i was able to install global rom and twrp + root without any problem. One thing i noticed is that EU is on v10.3.13 and global is 10.3.12,but both of them has the December security patch so no worries.
