I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, explosions, nuclear wars, alarm applications getting failed, Please read the first posts carefully before deciding to flash this kernel.
This is the my first custom kernel for redmi 2, this kernel will focus on quality over quantity, I will add only those features which don't cause instability and really improve performance or battery life of our device.
Thanks to all the kernel developers for many ideas, references and features, special thanks to Xiaomi for providing kernel source code of this great device.
Key Features:-CPU Governors :-
Impulse
lionfish
zzmoove
darkness
elementalx
and more
Adreno IdlerThis is a patch by @arter97 that reduces the GPU clock frequency to 200Mhz when the phone is idle so saving battery but doesnt affect gaming performance since it allows the frequency to scale at that time.
TCP congestion control
westwood
reno
IO Schedulers:
zen
fiops

Hi there nick, thank you for your work, downloading it now,btw i just wanted to tell you that i have been using n5xperience rom and it's really good, the best thing about is the intelliactive governor and mako hotplug which works really great, there is no 4 cores running always, battery is awesome and the overall performance is really good to and i really thing it is due to the governer and the hotplug, can you please try to implement it in this, since RR is really featured-pack rom.Thank you so much. Will try your rom and report.
This governor is for first plain about battery save. However it will elevate Clock speed but slowly
I use Smartassv2

Hello everyone, this is my personal kernel for the OnePlus 5. While I am not a super star kernel developer, I do know my way around it. Hopefully you enjoy :highfive:
NOTE: This list fluctuates with versions, it will not always been 100% up to date
Here are the major features of the kernel (feel free to explore Github)
Based on GzR kernel
Up to date with the latest stable Linux version (4.4.159)
Up to date with the latest CAF branch (kernel.lnx.4.4.r27-rel)
Mainline patches from Linux, focusing on bug fixes/security
Mainline CFQ scheduler improvements
Several subsystems converted to use power efficient workqueues
Backlight dimmer
KCAL color control
CPU Input Boost driver
Devfreq Boost driver
Sound control
Wakelock control
Westwood as the default TCP algorithm
Built with the latest Google Clang 7.0.2 toolchain
Hides bootloader unlock from SafetyNet (can still fail through other means)
Disables dm-verity
Does NOT modify decryption status
Flashed with AnyKernel2 (thanks to @osm0sis)
Primary: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=283181
Through TWRP:
If you are on a custom ROM:
If you are on the kernel that came with your ROM: flash the kernel zip and reboot
If you are on a custom kernel: dirty flash your ROM zip, flash the kernel zip, and reboot
Upgrading from one Reaper version to the other:
Just flash the kernel zip and reboot
1.1 Q: I am having an issue, can you help me?
1.1 A: I am not an amazing kernel developer but I will certainly try my best. First, start by reading the release posts, as I may make note of a particular issue. Also search the thread to see if I have discussed it before. If you see nothing, please provide me with a dmesg/last_kmsg and logcat, your ROM/kernel version, and a detailed description of the issue, following this guide. If I can't reproduce reliably, I'm not going to fix the issue.
1.2 Q: What ROMs are compatible with the custom builds?
1.2 A: My daily driver is GZOSP so I test all the builds on this ROM but this kernel should work on other pie ROMs. If you are using a ROM with no issues, let me know and I'll add it here! If you are having issues, following the above steps and I'll attempt to fix whatever incompatibility there is. If I can't do it without breaking GZOSP compatibility, you're out of luck.
1.3 Q: Can you add xyz feature?
1.3 A: If you link me the commits or tell me what kernel you had the feature in, I can take a look at them. I will not go digging super hard for commits and I will ignore requests that don't include this information. I won't promise that I will merge every request but I will always take it into consideration.
1.4 Q: How do I control the kernel?
1.4 A: I want to be very clear: the kernel does NOT need to be tuned to be useful. Most of the improvements are under the hood and don't require any user intervention to take advantage of them. In fact, if you don't know what you are doing, you could degrade the experience. To control the user visible features of the kernel listed above, I recommend using @flar2's EX Kernel Manager.
1.5 Q: OMFG MY BATTERY SUXXXX PLS FIX!!!
1.5 A: The kernel doesn't drain any battery, use an app like BetterBatteryStats to figure out what app is screwing with your phone.
The various other developers for their patches
@martinusbe, @nathanchane for their work on GzR kernel
@nathanchance for android-linux-stable organization, thread inspiration, patches, tips and for inspiring me to start kernel development
@KuranKaname for helping me with kernel and being a bro
@nychitman1 for him work on DU kernel (lots of patches are inspired from him work)
@mady51 for introducing me in kernel development
@osm0sis for AnyKernel2
@akhilnarang for him modified AnyKernel2 for OP5, help and patches for my kernel
All of you guys for viewing the thread

StockOverClock / Alpha Kernel for Nexus 6P
This kernel is based on stock kernel that ships with the ROM.
I have made some changes to the kernel to get more performance at the same power cost.
Features
Overclocked Small and Big Clusters
Added ElementalX CPU Governor
Added a lot more CPU Governors
Added a Bunch of CPU Hotpugs
Added many wake gestures and camera gesture
Performance optimized
Gaming Ready
Notice
For the kernel to work properly, you have to turn off Core Control in Thermal section by using any Kernel Manager app.
Choose ElementalX Governor for CPUs for best results.
Don't flash it in my (@hk1271) builds as I've made it specially for other Android 10 ROMs and will integrate this kernel in my builds from next Updates .

Do you see any indication above or in the kernel source, that the developer has added mac80211 or for that example HID support?

nope, just turn off core control and turn msm temperature on or soc limit ( varies which kernel manager you're using)

Okey thanx man!
I have an other question. In the latest version of Havoc there is alpha kernel but version 4.0 but the latest stable version on the page is 3.0.
Do you know if 4.0 is stable?
yes they all are stable. havoc, bliss superior already have alpha kernel that means you don't need to flash on those rom. this kernel here is only for those android 10 roms that doesn't have alpha kernel like lineage, pe etc.

Oh, it already had this modified kernel? Then, how can I test Havoc/Bliss with the default kernel?

you can't, it'll cause bootloop or brick.
Thank you for your work on nexus 6p.
In addition, could you tell me does this kernel support f2fs?

Nope! f2f was just supported by flash kernel 3 years ago.
Sent from my angler using XDA Labs
