Hey, Matrix is here. Some people may remember me from Oneplus2. This is just a kernel with my perspective of balance between battery and performance. Please don't spam the thread if you don't like it. If you face any bugs you can report. This kernel will give you a better battery life without harming performance. Hope you will like it.

A : Yes. Although some reported problems booting with oos. Anyway, I will recommend giving it a try.

While I did not succeed in booting the Omni rom, I have CM13 installed at the moment.
Perhaps I will try Omni in combination with this kernel.
But for sure, do I install in this order?
1 - TWRP recovery (does it work with 2.8.7?)
2 - this Lightning kernel
3 - Omnirom
4 - Gapps
Am I right, or do I have to flash in another order?

Man I just can't get it to work at least.on omni 11-10 build. Tried fresh install, tried installing on already setup... Tried 0.01 and 0.02. It just bootloops. Maybe a prob with twrp 2.8.7? or newest omni build? Any ideas.

No, dear mate, according to the OP: is only compatible with Nougat.
Pie ROMs have a better kernel implemented and it is Not neccesary to install another. Also, if you want to report a bug (for example in AOSPExt Pie ROM) you will be rejected because you are using other Kernel than the default (better) of the ROM

Still can't find though about nougat but yeah you are right as it wasn't been developed for oreo yet, so definitely not for pie.
I agree pie roms comes with better kernel, but it's just they don't provide hotplugs and some more features like dtw etc. that's why I was looking for a custom kernel.

These scores are on default settings.you can make some hacks around with kernel tuner apps to get those scores for bragging.

No and it uses 9.1.24 touch drivers

No, you can use a kernel manager to set pixutil or something else though

I had the same on first/second boot but it'd fine after everything seetled in. Other kernels also have 9.1.24 drivers and they're fine so I don't think that's the issue here. Let him try rebooting/waiting for a bit, cleaning cache (maybe dalvik too, worth a shot, I've seen it fix display related things before), etc.
