Hey there. I've had this device for a couple a days and did all the tasks an android nerd usually does (rooting and installing mods). I had installed gapps stock via twrp and I've noticed that the front facing camera doesn't focus, the pictures come out kinda blurry. I also tried to avoid installing the google camera using gapps aroma but still got the same issue. Could this issue be fixed? Would installing gapps individually without using a .zip file make a difference?

I got same issue but in f3216..the problem solved when u format stock fw but you lost root..
New kernel is ready for XA Ultra, now I need the "boot_S1****.sin" from the last firmware on single and dual sim to extract the Ramdisk. I will not download firmwares just for that. Anyone can send me the files in PM?

No for two reasons, the first it's for the dual sim devices. The second it's a "sin" file and useless alone.
I asked this file to update the boot.img with the last kernel and probably solve the focus problem.
Now I need the same file from a firmware like the one for your phone (single sim)
I will release the new boot for the dual sim in one or two days.

I had the same problem with the front camera not focusing after installing Xposed and rooting. Flashing the previous boot image solved my problem, now the front camera focuses.
There is still an issue with the new kernel, the screen never shuts off and the brightness is always at its maximum

The new kernel seems buggy af, to be honest I'm about to try to downgrade to .111 I'll keep in touch if it works. Changing the kernel to the new is not worth imo to answer your question

I really don't need to root the phone but I might as well do it for the heck of it
But all I'm concerned about is the camera quality, low light situations and post processing.
If there's a certain fix to that then I'll root my phone straight away. Cuz let's face it, most of us bought the phone for its camera quality, and sure as hell not for its limited performance.

Downgrade it or not to .111 (which seems more stable) root it or not, but if you want to recover camera quality just flash the DRM fix mod here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/xperia-z1-z2-z3-series-devices-drm-t2930672 be sure to download the Z3+ version and it'll sulfate DRM keys that allow noise cancelling, Bravia stuff etc...

Does this change the device name to the correct P768 or does it still identify as P760?
Im going to wait for @artit to return, he said he was working on CM11 for P768's, it has been a while though

I'm sorry to tell you that my P768 phone is dead. My brother restart it after no signal and it didn't boot up again. I try to recovery it but no response from phone. It can only boot into fastboot but cannot flash u-boot/x-loader. My warranty only end 15 days ago and LG service center told me that it need to replace a new board which cost me about half a price of that phone now.
I suggest that you patch a good P760 rom to work with P768. I think we can change device name within build.prop.
After I have some problems with both Samsung & LG phone, I'm not sure which brand I should get for my next phone. But I'm using LG Optimus G now and I brought it because of local shop clearance sales.

No... This patch only fix the camera modules and replace and improved camera/gallery apk for now... In next update im add the possibility to change the name and properties to the phone said p768in replacement of p760

UDADATE: Sorry... I've been doing some works to change Device ID, specifically modifying build.prop file, and renaming some ".so" file related to sound modules from p760 to p768 names only... but after modding, it stuck on lg logo when reboot. I think it's aboout some kind of kernel detection...

are You try to enter in fastboot mode using Lelus Method ??? with this method you can flash u-boot/x-loader in "force mode" using fastboot commands. I hope it can help

This news sad to hear. I hope you have more luck with your Optimus G, I've been looking at the Sony Xperia SP as my next phone. Gotta save for a while though. Its not much of an upgrade but it is 4g ready which is nice!
I'm going to stick with CM10.1 I think, everything seemed to work best while using that.

Remember, in cyanogenmod ART is experimental... not all applications works on ART, including snap

Hola amigo, yo tengo un lg p768, pero ninguno de tus parches me ha servido hasta el momento, siempre la apk que utilizas se me cierra o si logro abrila, al utilizar la aplicacion se cierra. Podrias en un futuro usar una aplicacion diferente, o utilizar otro driver para la camara?. Gracias.

this won't be a big a tutorial, since it's already described generally how to make manually updates on MIUI.
So here is the solution for those with the "problem" getting away from 10.0.3 without downgrading to 10.0.2 :
Probably most of you already downloaded the update in their Mi8 phones, right?
Open the file manager, go to the file and rename it to something simple like "update.zip".
That's all folks. After this simple step my phone took the update and now I am on the latest global stable pie.
I hope more of us wilp get the hands on the new update!

Yes, it works. From the updater. It brings you to twrp and it does its thing. After booting it will take you back again then just flash dmverity.zip and it should boot normally.

Do you mean to just rename the 10.1.1 file to "update.zip" and install it through the updater while on 10.0.3 ?
Also are there any bugs on 10.1.1 that don't exist on 10.0.3?
I mean is it actually better than 10.0.3 in any way? Does it worth the upgrade??

Yes, from reports on spanish forum I confirm that some users have switched from stable 10.0.3.0 to stable 10.1.1 directly, without problems, using phone updater
Also others users have switched from stable 10.0.3.0 to last beta 8.12.7 directly, without installing 8.9.7 previously.

Hello, Actually it's not required to be renamed as update.zip, I could go to 10.1.1.0 from 10.0.3.0 (global) directly with original file name (locked BL, never rooted)

Can you confirm whether the sensors working or not? (proximity, compass etc) no sensor seems to work for me on MiUi 11. Also shows blank page on sensors tab on CPU-Z.
I've dirty flashed from Pie MIUI 10 Xiaomi EU, everything is working fine so far.
Dirty flashed from Android 10 MIUI 10 Xiaomi.eu 10.4.6.0 and WiFi stopped working. Had to clear data and start from scratch.
Still have Widevine L3 and Google Pay doesn't work (which was weird because the last MIUI 10 from Xiaomi.eu has working Google Pay)
Dirty flashed from 10.4.6 xiaomi.eu, everything was smooth but no Brazilian Portuguese available... Just An info for my compatriots..

Unlocking bootloader I think breaks L1, if you have unlocked bootloader that might be the issue, also might be the variant, I have the Chinese variant and because of Google being blocked in China the phone is L3, not sure if any update will fix this or not

You can't flash zip file on xiaomi tool, that's for .tgz file... And NEVER SELECT "lock" on that tool... You must select "clean all". NEVER "clean all and lock"... Otherwise, you gonna brick your phone

You can simply debloat of all unwanted apps by adb disabling packages, no root requited
I don't use Netflix and I don't see any difference in battery compared to previous QFJEUXM 11.0.5
After using it for 3 days, I found this update an improvement for me. MiBand notifications now work. Nova badges now work. No more random "error" messages popping up. I have no issues with battery life and Netflix looks fine.

Unfortunately for me, mi band issue still present and battery drain still present too

Well... I finally took the plunge and... All great!
A few bugs fixed, no problems with battery, and a specific updated file that's just what I needed (specific to Movistar/O2 Spain).
Great update IMO!

I'm currently having issues with the latest update, youtube starts freezing up. Clearing the cache fixed the issue but it came back after a day.
Anybody installed it directly on rooted (Magisk) phone?

I did when updating from 11.0.4 to 11.0.5 QFJEUXM (must be the same for QFJMIXM).
I had Magisk Canary but with Stable must be the same, too
Differential OTA update (0.57 GB or so) failed (probably because the zip does not contain boot.img and the Boot was patched by Magisk), so I forced full OTA (2.24 GB).
That way you loose TWRP (if you had) and root but when you patch and flash the new boot.img (available in 11.0.5 2.24 GB full OTA recovery/zip package), you have Magisk back with all its modules and settings
But you can also flash the full OTA (2.24 GB) recovery/zip package from TWRP. In that case you will maybe keep TWRP (or Orange Fox), although it's not a deal to flash it again upon updating to 11.0.5.
About the Magisk will be the same (patch your new boot image and flash it through Fastboot or TWRP to regain Magisk)
Of course, your apps, settings and data will be preserved by updating to 11.0.5 (even if taking full 2.24 GB OTA package instead of the small 0.57 GB blockota/differential OTA package as OTA offers by default)

Hi all.
One of the most important features for me in a smartphone is the ability to record phone calls natively. For this reason I always used Huawei because the EMUI system has that feature (although it is necessary to activate it through an apk).
I decided to buy an HONOR 50 5G (Magic UI 4.2 + Android 11) thinking that, since Magic UI is practically the same as EMUI, it would also have that feature. In fact I still think that Magic UI should have that feature natively. However it cannot be activated with the APK provided by Huawei.
Does anyone know if there is an APK to enable this option in Magic UI 4.2?

I just realized that it is for Android 12 and my version is 11. It will be the reason why I don't work
