[ROOT][TWRP][Xposed][New] Samsung Galaxy A8 (A800F/A800I) on 6.0.1 - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 General

CF-Auto-Root is no more working to root Samsung A8 after latest Marshmallow update. So here I'll tell you another way to root your A800F or A800I. Also I'll tell you how to install TWRP and Install Xposed. Is little bit complicated but this works.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
Prerequisite :
On PC
USB Driver
Odin
Minimal ADB
TWRP Recovery
[*]On Phone Storage
SuperSU
Xposed Installer apk
Xposed SDK
DOWNLOAD LINKS BELOW
Steps
Download all files in a folder and install USB Driver (Skip if already installed). Extract Minimal ADB. Save SuperSU zip on your phone's storage.
Enable developer option on phone ( Tap “Build number” seven times to enable Developer option ).
Enable OEM unlock and USB debugging under developer option.
Put phone in download mode ( Hold vol down + home + power key to reboot to download mode )
Open ODIN on your computer. Connect your phone to your computer while your phone is in the Download Mode.If your phone is connected successfully, one of the ID:COM boxes will turn yellow with the COM port number.
Now select the recovery file that you have to flash/install on your phone. Click on ‘PDA’ / ‘AP’ and select the file ‘recovery.tar’. (In ODIN, check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options, if not already.) Now click on the Start button in ODIN. Installation process will start and would take a few minutes to complete. After the installation is completed, your phone will reboot normally.
Next you have to launch the ADB drivers file. Launch command.bat file from the ADB folder and give the first command to check whether the device is successfully connected to PC or not. A popup will open in your phone. tap allow.
Code:
adb devices
Enter another command to reboot your device into recovery:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
Now you are on TWRP recovery. Click on Install and select SuperSU file that you downloaded on your phone in step 1. and flash.
Flash Xposed SDK too if you want to use Xposed framework
You will get bootloop first time. Its normal. And first boot may take about 10 mins. You don't have to worry. After reboot install Xposed installer to use Xposed.
Done
Notes
Do not reboot to TWRP recovery using key combinations. Use any rebooter app to reboot to recovery.
This way is enforcing not permissive. I am searching for permissive. I'll update.
This method works on latest stock firmware.

I'm sorry for my carelessness, the download link I attached in the previous post was for S1. The method is similar to almost all android devices. The only thing you should worry about is CWM. You can follow the same steps but make sure that you have a CWM for your phone. If not, you may try porting it to your phone or just download ROM manager on your phone, it will provide you with all the options for flashing CWM. You can download ROM Manager from google play. Other than that, the steps are all the same.

Try doing this. Install SuperSU using CWM. If it installs, reboot the phone and check whether it has been installed by looking at the All apps section under settings. Then try to use any root application. If you encounter any problems in these sections, kindly specify where you get the problem.
Waiting for device
I am facing different problem.
Command prompt displays nothing after writing fastboot devices and on further process it says waiting for device.
i have karbonn drivers installed in my pc with windows 7 and usb debugging is on.

ATTENTION! Do NOT use the download links for Odin in the OP! It has been reported that the link will install malware on your computer. If you need Odin 3.07 or 3.09, I have attached them to the bottom of this post, both files are 100% safe. They're zip files, just extract the folder inside to your desktop; to run Odin just double click the .exe file, yes it's that easy. @Faiyaz5yaz thank you for making this thread, it is always a good thing to instruct users how to root their devices, but please either change the Odin download link or at the very least remove it from the OP. Unfortunately it messed up another user's computer so bad he had to reinstall windows

But you have an idea why the mobile network not work? Is it possible the reason is the boot.img, or a fault with the Provider?

The phone variant is E2303 with Android 6.

Oh I see, ok thanks so much, guess everyone with locked bootloaders will have to wait probably months before we get root on marshmallow.
I cannot unlock bootloader on e2363 Build No.- 26.3.B.1.33. Please help. I used latest flashtool. I am quite a noob at rooting I checked from service menu. I have permission to unlock bootloader. But flashtool says "root access denied" and "you do not have permission to unlock bootloader officially". Please help! :crying:

Same problem with e2303
Hello,
About unlocking bootloader issues:
1) Unplug USB cable if plugged.
2) Start your phone in "normal" mode (no adb, no fastboot).
3) Check "Enable OEM unlock" AND "Enable USB debugging" under the "Developer Options" menu (press 5 times the "About phone" settings menu to make the hidden "Developer Options" menu appear if needed).
See attachements (it's in french sorry)
4) Plug the USB cable and accept the security key on the phone (check the checkbox "Always accept" - or similar).
5) Power off your phone and restart in fastboot.
6) Ensure your device is detected by your computer (command should be something like "fastboot devices" - check the fastboot help for exact syntax).
7) Proceed to the unlocking by launching the command with your unlock key.
Note: if this procedure fails, unplug your phone, ensure there is no adb running processes and kill them if there are.
Then restart at step 5.

[RECOVERY][UNOFFICIAL][ROOT] TWRP for Galaxy A80 ANDROID 10

Team Win Recovery Project 3.x, or TWRP3 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

Let’s start with the installation process
First you need to unlock your bootloader. You can do so by enabling developer settings first, enable oem unlocking, then shut down your phone, hold volume up and down at the same time and while holding them plugin your charger. Your phone now should show a green screen with instructions to unlock the bootloader. Just follow them and after the unlocking your data should get wiped. After that your device will boot up and land in setup screen. Do not setup anything, just skip as much as possible, because your phone will get wiped again. Enable developer settings and make sure oem unlocking is greyed out and enabled. (If it does not show up, connect to a network first!)
Now you need to overwrite vbmeta partition, so you can flash third party partitions. Download vbmeta_disabled.tar then go into download mode on your device. Put vbmeta_disabled.tar to userdata in Odin, click start. This should finish pretty quickly, so pay attention when your device reboots, because you need to boot into recovery (Hold power and volume up after the screen turns black). When booted into recovery, wipe your data and reboot normally into system. Now you can setup your phone as usual and make sure oem unlocking is still greyed out and enabled!
Time to flash recovery. Download (link is at the end of this post). . In Odin put the tar file in AP and simply hit start. Congrats you now have TWRP installed!

Just got it to boot and the touchscreen is unresponsive. Quite a bummer since twrp is the only way to root as far as I've concluded :crying:

I followed your steps to no avail. First try, twrp didn't even boot up completely as it was stuck in the twrp logo screen. My second attempt was wiping data first using the stock recovery, then flashing twrp. Twrp booted up and I was happy as heck, but the touchscreen was unresponsive. I've completely set up my phone again after giving up. I wouldn't mind losing all my data again just to gain root, but I don't want to lose it for nothing
Now it just doesn't load further than the logo! !(

Thanks for fixing the issues! Bummer that I can't root. It's just stuck on bootloop with the Samsung splash image.
You must as sg7 firmware
Then flash twrp recovery
Open magisk manager and patch this recovery.img
And reboot to twrp instal image seltect magisk patched and flash it at boot
Wipe all and reboot
Now you have twrp and rooted
For patching recovery with magisk use this custom source

For patching with magisk 19.4

Is anything working? Decryption? Back-up? Restore?
I have saw the a70 page and it included many custom roms. Is it easy to port it over to the a80? I really want lineage os on my phone. Thanks
(I have an SM-A8050)
@blackbuga ; how about detail explaining about sg7 firmware how can we get it? what about give us step by step way of unlocking until flash twrp within provided link donwload files we needed, & last could u gv us stock recovery img for emergency used while we faced some trouble like bootloop or something else we dont expected. so we dont needed to flash whole firmware stock & make us felt safety & shortcut the time of we got trouble. thx for great works
Hello blackbuga,
I recently installed your unofficial TWRP-build for the A80.
I want to let you know that it is impossible to flash ROMs successfully. I am a TouchWiz developer since 2016 and I wanted to continue with OneUI.
So, I was porting the A71 firmware, but it didn't let me install the zip. It ended with the Error 7.
Here's a part of the log:
" -- Setting ROM Permissions
ApplyParsedPerms: removexattr of /system/system/usr/srec/en-US/wordlist.syms to 0 failed: Operation not supported on transport endpoint
ApplyParsedPerms: removexattr of /system/system/usr/srec/en-US/wordlist.syms to 0 failed: Operation not supported on transport endpoint
script aborted: set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7 "
It seems like it's a problem of the recovery. I hope to get an answer from you.
Greetings
Soon i realase new build recovery
