[ROM] Extreme Syndicate - LG V20 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Developm

Hello XDA!
Disclaimer:
I am not responsible for any damage or awesomeness stemming from you flashing this ROM to your device. I am not responsible if you do not read the thread in its entirety and you miss a call. With that being said, my ROMS tend to lean on the EXTREME side of things. This means a lot of what you are used to on an LG stock ROM is GONE. I am not responsible if you do not know how to "sideload" your own applications of whatever you want to add back or for your "data" used to download apps readily available on the Play Store. I am also not responsible nor will I address any issues or "bugs" that stem from utilizing the "Dirty Santa" rooting method such as static on reboot and/or vibrating on reboot etc. These are bugs that in time should be fixed and I will update the ROM accordingly but this is not a cause of the ROM itself so let's keep specific bugs to this ROM in this thread.
Goodies:
- Based on Stock Deodexed US996 Firmware (US Unlcoked Version, NOT US Cellular)
- Rooted
- Deodexed
- KCAL Support
_ HD Voice
- Working Hotspot
- Forced High Impedence MOD
- Assertive Display MOD
- More to Come!
Prerequisites:
- Must have TWRP
- ONLY TESTED ON VS995
- Download the latest Extreme Syndicate ROM (of course) to your Device
- Kernel of your choice, I recommend Konverged Kernel
Install Instructions:
1) Download ROM and Kernel to Device
2) Boot into TWRP Recovery
3) Do a standard wipe as you would when doing a "clean install" (data, cache, dalvik)
4) Flash ROM then Kernel
5) That's IT!
Downloads + Changelogs in Post #2
Shout Outs:
- @me2151 and Team (Dirty Santa Root & various other help, insights, ideas, and tests)
- Early Testers!
- I will add more as I go and after I gather some of their usernames to TAG
Donations:
- I am always wary posting for any donations as it is not required nor expected on XDA but if you are feeling generous, all of us could use a drink every now and then, I do drink beer

Bugs & Fixes
Extreme Syndicate v1.1 Bugs/Fixes:
- I would not call it a bug but I have no added busybox yet so use an installer from the Play Store once you load the ROM
- I have not decided what Kernel to use yet, so have a kernel ready to flash as per instructions in OP or you might have issues
- No other issues ATM.. I will also be uploading files to my Google Drive with all removed bloat so users can add back what they wish since this ROM is EXTREME!
Extreme Syndicate v1 Bugs/Fixes:
- Google Dialer FC's/Download a 3rd party dialer or side load LGContacts.apk until a fix is found or I replace the dialer in the next update.
- Hotspot Won't Connect/Delete or uninstall using TiBu the Verizon Mobile Hotspot apk and it will work fine. Will be removed on next update to avoid the extra step.
- File Transfer with PC not working/For some reason you need to connect a flash drive to the phone to enable MTP mode, then it will work with the PC. I need to figure this one out.
- Double Clock in status bar/I just need to edit the SystemUI to hide the original clock. For now just hide the 3minit clock if you don't want two and I will remove this issue in the next update.
- That's it for now!

Just a reminder, if you need to install an .apk without play store access/internet access, you can transfer an apk to your sdcard and install it on the phone by going into Downloads > Sdcard and installing it from there (for those that don't know fancy-shmancey adb stuffs)

i also recommend signing into google acct during setup to ensure you are able to update the keyboard if it starts acting up

You VZW bastards with your selection of roms.

Thank for the link will be flashing soon thanks brother.

When I had the issue of two clocks, I used the 3minit for the date in the alternate corner.
Side note: in the mods section is a flashable 3minit batt and clock mod for our device. Eliminates the original clock.

@elliwigy thanks for the ROM man. I like how you are trying to put a stock google spin on the LG ROM. I hope you stay with it!

Unfortunately, I live in a rural area and Verizon is the only game in town. Verizon is nice when it comes to service. I live 30 minutes from the nearest city in the middle of the woods and get 4G and it's been ages since I've travelled anywhere and don't have a constant 4G signal. And I'm grandfathered in on their unlimited data which is true unlimited. I use on average over 300GB a month and they never throttle the speed

T-Mobile has always been at the top followed by AT&T, Sprint while VZW is usually at the bottom of the list
I'm not going to clutter up the thread anymore but Thanks @elliwigy. Even if it is for VZW all work on the LG V20 brings more interest to the phone which is good for all V20 users. me2151 is busting his ass for our sprint phones. I never expected root for any non T-Mobile phones so I am already a happy camper.
Good luck.:good:

The currently installed Google DIaler (Google Phone) doesn't work (crashes on opening), however, you can make and receive calls all day long:
Go to Contacts > Pick a contact you want to call and initiate a call from the contacts app.
Until you install a different phone app, you won't be able to dial, but you can make and receive calls.

Yep! I believe the Google Dialer actually uses a different app for the actual call, the dialer seems to be just a way to interface with the actual phone calling interface thing (or something like that).
That's why using the contacts app to initiate a call still works as well as actually receiving a call. I've tested it out myself, made a few phone calls yesterday and received one.
Happy to help
p.s. I pmed you about wifi calling not working, not sure if you read it

[Feedback] Adrenaline ROM™

Hello imbawind,
First of all thank you for your rom which is exceptional.
There are still some problems:
- 3 new patch does not work
- My GPS does not work
- Can not import Google calendar
- Is it possible to recover the email application and the weather widget / current base?
Well, that's all! The rest is wonderful! A great big thank you!
Sorry for my english, I'm French and I use Google Translation.
Alexandre
Mistake on my part but the GPS works perfectly!
No problem with the All patch Patch (1 ~ 5) that as of today!
It's a shame we can not be traced directly to the problems regarding the ROM (New Member: To unlock all capabilities of XDA ...)
Imbawind thank you for the updates!
It's a damn good ROM. Everything works fine, just a few remarks:
-Play store hides many compatible apps and show many more incompatible ones
-APNs are deleted, restoring takes forever and does nothing
-Notifications in upper bar can extend over center clock
-Pushing apps from pc market just does not happen right after flashing, needed some messing around
All the way, thank you!
uuhm OP I suggest you just PM him ^.^

And BTW I have been able to install both viber and whatsapp from their apk, but in Play Store it says they are not compatible with my phone. Don't know what this is for.
GPS is not that fast, but apps like GPS Aids help big time.

I mean have you ever used the desktop version of the market (now google play) to push apps to your phone by just clicking install? Well this didn't use to work at the very beginning, right after flashing your ROM. I don't know what I did, but after some time I was able to get it right.
When I try to connect the USB tethering, it connects, but immediately after appears the message USB connected and the tethering check box becomes unchecked.
Did this happened to anyone else?
Can this be a baseband problem?
My baseband is WKS2.
Please help.

Good evening imbawind,
Well, I just start from scratch and everything is really perfect. A big thank you.
I'll do a summary of procedures for the other:
- Creation ext4 (512M) and swap (256M) on the SD via CWM
- Complete wipe
- Installing the ROM Adrenaline
- Reboot and return on CWM to install the patch all-in-one
- Reboot and return to install the patch CWM Google Contacts and Google Calendar
It works well and the phone is 100% reactive
Now the only thing I miss is some application of the stock ROM:
- The application email (I do not like K9-mail and other)
- The news and weather widget the stock rom
- The google search widget
Is it possible to recover the apk for independent installation of the rom?
Anyway, thank you again.
Alexandre
Good evening,
To retrieve Email, GenieWidget, Memo and FMRadio, I tried to make a zip with an example of the ROM addons SanGingerAce * SL2 application but email does not work at all.
Is it possible to propose an addon of this type there?
Alexandre
Hello,
I just created an archive to restore the following applications:
- GenieWidget
- Email
- FMRadio
- Memo
The zip is for use with CWM (system mount).
Sincerely,
Good evening,
For a complete reinstall, my GPS does not work anymore. Unable to use Google Maps or Navigation.
Does anyone have the same problem?
In the previous installation, I use the patch separately and at last, I used the allinone ...
Hi there,
I have no 3G at all, cannot use the internet or play store due to no internet connection. Packet Data etc is all enabled and I have whiped data and re flashed numerous times but 3g will not work. If i press the power button on the side it says data network mode deactive but it will not change to active. Im on Orange UK. P.S All other roms work fine with 3g so Its not my phone/sim?.
Thanks
The second edition works great, apart from the gps, it still does not lock. Its not that i need it anyway, im using the baseband that came with the stock rom if that is required, wkt3 if i'm not mistaken. Apart from that all good, maybe it could be little less barebones but i can surely deal with flashing addons through CWM. As i said earlier, GPS is not essential in any way for me, but if there is a time i'll actually need it i'd rather have it working . Great stuff, love it.
Edit: Just for the sake of experimentation, i've reflashed the rom and installed maps from the store and it now locks! Dunno if it was a titanium backups fault previously, but i have to take my little 'accusation' back . GPS now works, will test again tomorrow when i'll be on the move. Great, great work, much better than the other, 'rival' rom
Why don't post at my rom thread?
I would be more than happy to do so, but my post-count is too low.

Just a suggestion : would u be kind enough to provide the stock music player as an addon, cause IMHO google music has some kind of sub par sound compared to the stock one. I've flashed beats audio and it has some issues on my earbuds, creative ep 600 something, thus not entirelly ****ty headphones. Just a suggestion, because i've 'stolen' the addon from stocklite 6.0 and it works like a charm.
Ps. I'll be glad to post in this topic, cause i'm a semi noob and i do not want to spam the forum with some useless comments and ask questions that can be answered by some quick google query. Keep up the great work

ok i'll add
I've flashed this ROM yesterday and everything is smooth, battery life is also great. Just one thing is link2sd working on it? I tried but even linking all apps the internal storage is nearly full.
I guess something is wrong, look at Where's my water example:
Installed on SD card nice and easy, but when I try to link it I receive a message saying that there's no free space, so does it moves to somewhere in the internal storage?
I really could use some help here, and congrats to the devs for the amazing job

[MOD][FIX] 5/14 Flashable!! (AOKP,AOKPCB,ICS,CM9,MIUI) Sprint Phantom Vmail

5/14 NOW CWM Flashable!! Added -AOKP/CB ICS/CM9/MIUI_V4) Fix Sprint Phantom Voicemail
Make a Nandroid Backup just in case, I'm not responsible if something messes up your phone.
FIX for AOKP, AOKPCB, ICS ,CM9 ,MIUI Sprint Phantom Vmail
ALL HAVE BEEN TESTED AND CONFIRMED WORKING BY ME ON LATEST VERSIONS OF THE ROMS AS OF 13 MAY
Instructions:
1. Go to 'Settings/Manage Apps' / Navigate to 'Phone' and press 'Clear data'.
2. Download attached -MoPhoPhantomVmailFix.zip for your CURRENT ROM.
(A) CM9_6.1-MoPhoPhantomVmailFix.zip for Jokersax's ICS/CM9
(B) MIUI_V4-MoPhoPhantomVmailFix.zip for Spleef/TH3BILL's MIUI V4 2.5.11
(C) AOKP_AOKPCB-MoPhoPhantomVmailFix.zip for Spleef's [AOKP Build 35] and [AOKPCB 20120513-0133] Rom Ports.
3. Make a NANDROID Backup your current ROM just in case.
4. In CWM (I used Jokers CWM-v3 for all 4 Roms) FLASH your downloaded Zip
(Zip clears Phone.apk's Dalvik Cache for you but you can also clear it manually)
5. In CWM, Go to 'Advanced' menu and 'Fix Permissions' and then 'Reboot System'.
6. Once booted up, open up Phone app, Navigate to its settings and in 'Voicemail Settings' CHANGE *86 to YOUR Mobile Number.
(STEP 7. Only for CM9) Uncheck 'Voicemail Notifications' checkbox to Disable, If not already Unchecked.
Then REBOOT your MoPho and enjoy
These Disable the persistent Ghost/Phantom Voicemail Notification & Icon that could only be removed by either clearing data in the phone app (and after every reboot), or the fix in which you can call Sprint to activate a dumb phone, leaving yourself a message and then clearing the voicemails, then reactivating your smartphone.
As you guys know, i search every devices sections, testing and trying out different mod's/apk's/zip's in hope that it would benefit us all, today i'd like to bring to you......Modified Phone.apk's which will get rid of the notification altogether, both the Icon and Notification in the pulldown menu.
*For those of you who have the Sprint VVM app installed or Use Google Voice for Vmail, this Mod wont mess up the Notifications for them.
**I CAN Confirm that Voice/Data/WIFI and Roaming work on Roms Mentioned above.
*** I DID NOT TEST TABLET-MODE FOR ANY OF THE ROMS WITH THESE MODIFIED PHONE.APK's SO PLEASE REPORT BACK.
--------------------------------------------
Big thanks to the Sprint Samsung Epic Touch 4G & Sprint Galaxy Nexus sections, been pulling apps from almost all the Roms there to test different stuff out that would benefit us MoPho guys too and got these.
Happy Modding

I'm having trouble too.
Side note- What widgets/theme are you using in your screen shots?
This worked fine for me except I don't like how it changed my incoming call screen. Now when receiving a call the answer button is partially hidden behind the home and back buttons. It is still usable but ultimately I'm trading one cosmetic flaw for another. I'm not sure which is more appealing.

I have a Droid Incredible flashed to a CDMA network here in Nigeria (Visafone). On Stock GB ROM there is a 'Clear Voicemail Notification' setting, under 'Settings > Calls', which I pretty much use since I have this problem. I had a Moto Q earlier and this problem carried over from that phone to the Droid Incredible. Now I am on CM9 ICS Unofficial ROM and the only way I could get rid of this annoying notification was from 'Settings > Manage Apps > Phone > Force Stop'. This is very cumbersome to say the least. Your mod fixed this for me... It works well. I have rebooted severally and still no notification. Thanks.
It worked for me. But like Sub2k1, it changed my incoming call screen and like he said, trading one flaw for another. I am just barely able to answer a call. Most of the slide button is placed off the screen. As of now I can deal with the phantom notification better than this. If there is a better fix, please let us know. On Joker's latest.
This app did solve my problem. The answer slider is covered in the default app, but you can install a skin anytime. A layout mismatch isn't as annoying as the frigging cassette icon and sound notification every 5 minutes!
I am using CM9 on an XPERIA PRO
In the country I am in, both carriers are ruthless. Their way or the highway. After four years of pleading, they haven't disabled my voicemail. Of course, they charge for every voicemail hit. At least I can forget about it now. Hit TY, moonzbabysh.

Strange Issue - Texting only works on TW roms now :(

Been flashing roms for years across many devices and this is the first time I have encountered such a bizarre issue. As the title says I could only text on touch whiz based roms. Aosp roms of any kind (CM,AOKP, Gummy, Slim, any) text messages all fail no matter what sms app I use.
How to fix - (You are responsible for your device. I am not responsible for ANYTHING if you choose to continue)
Here is the DreamFX Official Unofficial fix credits to lacoursiere18's first build that is considered to be the magic build to fix our SMS issue permanently. The funny thing is that texting doesn't even work in his first build but something with that is the magic sauce to fix our phones. Follow the below directions.
1.) Wipe everything raw (i wipe everything but external sd, but others have reported not wiping internal and this working)
2.) Flash 4.4.2 TW Wip Build 1 (link below)
3.) Boot up, skip setup screens, and try to send a few texts. They will fail every time as texting is broke in this build (but this is how the magic happens)
4.) Reboot, maybe try and send a few more texts again (again they will fail)
5.) Reboot into recovery and wipe everything raw
6.) Flash latest CM11 or any other AOSP rom (you can also restore a nandroid of aosp and texting will now work)
7.) Reboot and Profit!

If this didn't work for you then you may have a different issue at hand. Try replacing your sim and/or odining back to stock to see if that fixes your issue. This fix only fixes texting working on TW but not AOSP.

Apparently this problem is localized to this area. There are others with the same problem with other devices on Verizon.

I thought I was going nuts. So your having the issue too? If you find a resolution let me know please. I have contacts for Verizon I can get a hold of that are high up in the chain. But I can't just tell them texting works in tw but not aosp.
Yeah I have been having issues since the 20th. The only fix I will do is switching to CDMA only, but that is an unreasonable fix to this problem. Or switching to crap touchwiz. Keep us posted

Another fix is cycling airplane mode for every sent text. It works most of the time for me. I'm calling Verizon later.

Did either you tried flashing the rom before the 20th? Especially the audio mod by Sbrissen?
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407573327
I have not updated the nightly since then because its working beautifully.
PS I'm in the Washington county, PA. 412 area code Haven't had any texting issues.
If need be, I can always make a backup of my current system and update to a nightly and see if the texting is broken.

I can't even use older aosp builds now. Your County is not really in the affected area.
I am in DMV area, just south of you. I started having this issue too. I called Verizon and they offered me a new phone but I am out of warranty.
The lates 3/12 CM Nightly seems to be working, I will Dload it and install and report ASAP.

Because many people on that thread are saying that it does.
Some people are saying that this has been fixed in VA. Anyone in central pa want to try today?
I have been doing extensive testing to try and figure out why us folks in central pa lost texting on aosp roms on 2/20. I downloaded an app called android system info. I launched it on TW(where texting always works) and CM(where texting doesn't), Went to telephony tab and found something rather interesting. The network operator name for TW rom is Verizon Wireless and for CM it's Roaming Indicator Is Off. If you change the ERI file or use an xposed module to removing this from the notification area which it does but never does it change the hardcoded network operator name.
I am thinking for some reason on Central PA towers that they are enforcing the Network Operator name to be correct or it won't allow texts to go through. The reason I know Verizon is actually getting the texts I send because I sent like 15 in a row they all in CM act like they didn't send. I immediately restored back to TW and I received all 15. Something in the CM code (why only for Central PA) which seems like its the network operator or some other similar setting needs to be changed to work.
I am having the same issue in central Virginia sms only works on tw rom but mms works fine on aosp so if I select the same person twice it converts to mms and sends fine.

How to Enable Native Visual Voicemail HTC One M8

Restore Native AT&T Visual Voicemail on any ARHD ROM for the HTC One M8 (only works with AT&T carrier)
S-Off is not required (S-Off is only required if you want to update your firmware to the latest version)
Phone must obviously be unlocked and rooted
I don't recommend using v9.1 ROM, the ElementX kernal will not be updated to support 4.4.3 thus sense 6.0 toolbox homescreen swipe commands and motion gestures will not work. I read that 4.4.4 will be out soon, so no one is really investing time in custom kernals to support sense-based ROMs for 4.4.3. You can still updated your firmware to the latest version and run the 8.1 ROM. I recommend searching for the "no red text" firmware version.
Keep in mind that your Voicemails won't download when you're connected to a Wifi Network. If anyone has a fix for this please post and PM me so I can update this thread.
1) Right click "Android_Revolution_HD-One_M8_8.1.zip" and select 7-Zip "Open Archive"
2) Browse to \Android_Revolution_HD-One_M8_8.1.zip\system\priv-app\
3) Drop the following stock AT&T APK files
ATT_VVM3.apk (required)
HtcContacts.apk (might not be required)
HtcDialer.apk (might not be required)
Message.apk (might not be required)
Phone.apk (might not be required)
4) Browse to \Android_Revolution_HD-One_M8_8.1.zip\additions\carriers\att\system\customize\ACC\
5) Extract the default.xml file to your desktop
6) Open with Notepad++
7) Scroll to the bottom
8) Set Region value to 1 (USA)
1

9) Set Product SKU ID to 7 (ATT Model)
7

10) Save and drop the default.xml file back in \Android_Revolution_HD-One_M8_8.1.zip\additions\carriers\att\system\customize\ACC\
11) Browse to \Android_Revolution_HD-One_M8_8.1.zip\system\customize\ACC\
12) Drop your modified default.xml file here as well \Android_Revolution_HD-One_M8_8.1.zip\system\customize\ACC\
13) Copy Android_Revolution_HD-One_M8_8.1.zip to your phone and flash away!

If your phone is rooted with a custom ROM such as the Android Revolution HD by mike1986 and your visual voicemail is missing, corrupt or broken, I will teach you how to reinstall it! Note, this has only been tested on the AT&T variant of the HTC One M8.
If you're an advanced user you can use the Android SDK, Cygwin and Kitchen to modify the ROM and include the following APKs:
- Phone.apk (replacement rom, newer version)
- ATT_VVM3.apk (new rom)
- HtcContacts.apk (replacement rom, newer version)
- HtcDialer (replacement rom, newer version)
- Message (replacement rom, newer version)
There are many tutorials on this site that explain how to modify and repackage a ROM.
If you want to keep it simple here's the process.
Acquire the apps listed above. Visit my website to download the APKs, just Google Trick Master PC, or you can pull them from your Stock ROM under /system/apps and/or /system/priv-app
Drop the apps on your Internal or External SD Card
Use ES File Explorer to Mount the system directory with Read/Write Permissions
Use ES File Explorer to Install the APKs from your SD location
Use Titanium Back-up Pro (yes, you have to pay for it). Browse the list of applications and find the apps you installed, long press the app and select "Convert to system app", if you have the option to integrate into ROM select that as well.
Restart the phone and set-up your native visual voicemail functionality. This process restores full functionality with zero glitches.

Yes, that happened to me a few times at first, you have to follow the exact procedure above and you have to restart the phone. As long as your phone is the ATT variant this should work. I had to mess around with it for a while, but got it working flawlessly. Restart after installing the APKs, the use Titanium Back-up to elevate the apps to system level apps. Then restart again.
Yeah I've uninstalled the apps with titanium backup and tried the process multiple times on my ATT variant running Viper ROM to no avail.

I had the same issue. What I had to do was change the SKU to 7 and the Region to 1 in the ACC\default.xml file. This also enabled the VVM button in the phone app.
However, I now have a problem with retrieving voicemails when connected to a wireless network. If I turn off wireless, everything will work fine. When on wireless, it gives an error about mobile data not being available, but it is most definitely on. It's like the messages/vvm apps aren't being allowed to bypass the wifi to check for data.
In case it matters, I am on a stock international ROM (1.54.401.5), and I also could not get the phone.apk to install using the directions above, so I installed the applications using a flashable zip.

This works 100% on the Android Revolution HD Rom for the ATT variant. The ARHD ROM is the stock rom modified by mike1986. I'm not sure how the Viper ROM was developed ie from stock ROM or from KitKat baseline ROM.
Unless your married to Viper I would highly recommend checking out the ARHD ROM, you won't be disappointed. It's an incredible ROM.
Can confirm this works perfect on ARHD ROM by mike1986! Thanks!!! :good:

Yes, this is the app that integrates into your native Messages.apk (scroll left to view voicemails, scroll right to view all messages {VM, SMS, MMS}, and right again to view just SMS/MMS).

Interesting... just tried leaving a voicemail off wifi and voicemail notification went through. Turned on wifi and left a new voicemail and got no voicemail notification. Turned off wifi and refreshed voicemails and new voicemail notification showed up.
So, voicemail works with wifi off. When wifi is on, the voicemail app says there is no data and that it doesnt work over wifi.
On a positive note, transcribe to text works great!
I don't think it should be too hard to fix but then again, I am not a developer.
I have confirmed that everybody on AT&T, tmobile and sprint regardless of your phone type cannot download visual voicemails while on a wifi connection this problem is acknowledged and stated by AT&T, they even add the disclaimer alongside their visual voicemail stand alone app. Iphone users everywhere complain about this as well. Honestly, I never noticed the issue before, but of course who would ever really engage in extensive voicemail testing. Perhaps one day the carriers will solve this issue; although personally I believe it's an intentional move by the carriers to force their customers off WiFi and on to the carriers' very expensive data network. I mean we're talking about tens of millions of dollars per year in data charges just from users downloading voicemails over cellular data on a daily basis. No one in leadership at the major carriers would ever let that revenue slip away, not unless they had to address the issue to resolve competitive threats.
So in conclusion your visual voicemail is functioning perfectly as it should.

I believe this is incorrect. I never had these problems on the stock AT&T Rom. I will reflash and verify, but I am almost 100% certain it worked without issue.

Let us know what you find out, but all the research I did would suggest otherwise. ATT's standalone application for visual voicemail even has the disclaimer in the app store that says it won't work on WiFi. If it works for you please post a copy of your default.xml file \system\customize\ACC\
Thanks.

It did work over WiFi on the stock AT&T ROM using the built-in HTC VVM app. The app appears to be able to use the cellular data connection just like the messages app does to receive sms even when on WiFi.
I have attached the stock AT&T ACC\default.xml, but I doubt that's where the solution lies. I have tried flashing in the APKs listed above, plus the ATT AAinfo.txt, the default.xml files from ACC, CID, and MNS. I also flashed in the market.xml from the permissions folder as well as the nfcee file from the etc folder. The wireless problem still persists for me even with all of those just thrown into the ROM.
Unfortunately, that is as far as I've been able to get with this project. If anyone else has an idea, I'm willing to give it a shot.
Thanks,
JTok
I'll try to wrap my head around this problem initially I did a comparison between the default XML file and the custom ROM default XML file. The variance in the file comparison was nominal, nothing that would affect voicemail download over wifi. I'm going to use the Android development kit to run debug while I launch the visual voicemail app on a wifi connection and monitor the logs for any potential errors. Still if there are any Android developers out there who might know what the problem is it would be great if you could share it with us

Xtended Settings xposed module

Xtended settings app is now available for samsung touchwiz oreo roms which overcomes reading shared prefs from android server system hooks (`android` package). Oreo update for beta users only. Anyone can opt in.
App is already avail for kitkat, lollipop, marshmallow and nougat htc and samsung devices. Samsung from marshmallow on.
Search in google play for app as really cant be bothered to create a graphical thread
Note ... designed for STOCK roms without rom developers own individual tweaks as it clashes in cases. I hope this is a common sense statement.
Also a little treat for United Kingdom H3G users, tethering mod allows 3 not to detect if your hotspotting (Tethering). If you have unlimited data plan, see your hotspot allowance stay untouched

**UPDATE**
Never mind. It's all good now.
my device is flying in sky
Thank you so much.
Good module.
Can you please make transition animation random?
I'm trying to get this module to work on LG V30 (US998) with stock rom (7.1.2), bootloader unlocked, magisk root. Installs fine, but when I enable the power button flashlight I get System UI crash. Any ideas?
I really wish this was able to be used by my device. I have Xposed Framework and am rooted. However I tried three times to install and use this app , even doing what I was supposed to do by activating and rebooting my device. After all this, your app makes it so when the phone reboots my UI is black and phone is basically a brick without the actual bricking. I tried to use xposed module deactivator to deactivate your app to no avail. Luckily I was able to flash the Xposed uninstaller zip in order to reboot my phone with no black UI issue or disfunction. Unfortunately I also have to completely wipe Xposed cache and data and reinstall Xposed Framework in order to to continue using Xposed and the modules that are WORKING PROPERLY. I read the description of tour app on the google play store and it was supposed to be compatible with my devices ROM and everything the sun. But yeah, your app does more harm than the good it was suppose to do. I really hope that I am the only user out there who has had to give a bad review. I didn't give the review on the play store, what you are reading right now is the review. I am glad that your app can be used by others and it's been helpful for them as I read in the reviews.
Hello RichmondoUK,
Xtended Settings doesn't work with HTC one M9+ with ChinaSense 7.5.2... It was okay before wih standard Europe Ruu Sense 7.0, but I change to stock China rom because it is more secure and fast in any possible way...
I'm asking you here is it any way to fix this issue ? --The problem is that it's install but cannot open the app. Gives error message..
Any help ?
Cheers!
P
The opt-in link no longer works and upon the startup of the app it just asks for google login over and over, you'll chose which google account you want to use and it looks like it wants to let you onto the app, then it loops over and over
