Problem with unlocked phone alcatel one touch conquest getting no service error. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
So i bought a second hand unlocked alcatel phone for secondary use. After coming home i inserted my Ultra sim but got a no service error. so i went ahead and checked in preferred network mode and found that there is no gsm option available but only CDMA+LTE/EvDo and CDMA/EvDo are available. i think this is the main problem behind the no service error. is there any solution for this or did i just waste my money.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Data connection is OFF.
I tried different working sims, but still no luck.
i tried to flash with different roms and different radio...but the same porblem..
can anyone help me please!!! where is the problem???
is the phone unlocked?
is the phone barred?
the phone is unlocked as it accept sim card and do not show message like on locked phones...
and even if it is barred, it was purchased from UK, but it should work in Moldova, no?
if it is barred then it will not work anywhere in the world as it will be blocked from all networks
sounds like it is locked to o2 to be honest or blocked, if you got from ebay id contact the seller to make sure it is not barred, id never buy a phone from ebay

Network Selection Mode Locked

Dear All,
I have purchased a new cellphone "Gfive G6 President & unable to use 3G in it because its network selection option is completely locked, went to few shops for flash but did not get any positive response on it, i would be really thankful to all of you if you could help me out on it.
Note: My carrier is providing 3G facility in Pakistan also my sim card supports the same, i am already using 3G (WCDMA) with the same sim in other Android Cell Phone, i have also tried checking it via *#*#4636#*#* code in Phone information, it shows me that i can select WCDMA Only mode, but when i select it, GSM only remains selected. Please help me out other wise my 8500 PKR will be wasted. Please help me.
Someone told me that by rooting the phone issue will be resolved or by upgrading to Android 4.4 Kitkat can help, one more thing i would like to add, that i have googled cellphone history, as per history this cell is TD-CDMA supported.
Update
Please update me on my question, if no one got any answer can simply inform No.

[Q] Verizon One Max -> Virgin Mobile Canada = Service not working

Hey there,
Thanks in advance for taking a read and hopefully giving me a hand to figuring this out.
I live in Canada, and my service provider is Virgin Mobile.
I purchased a phone from eBay to use on my network. I double checked the network bands were compatible with my network, and fortunately they were. (I bought an unlocked HTC One Max from Verizon.) I received the phone yesterday, and as soon as I inserted my SIM to the phone, it told me "This SIM card is from an unknown source." My cell service will show as active for about three seconds, and then flip to no bars with "no service available" as the status.
After doing some research, the error message was from a Verizon Setup application. I haven't yet rooted the phone (I just got it yesterday) so I haven't bothered to install Titanium and uninstall the Verizon Setup app.
I also set my APN settings correctly as to Virgin Mobile's network (a branch of bell nonetheless), I've double and triple checked these. My service is nothing short of intermittent still, and I can hardly use the phone. Phone calls will literally cut out right in the middle like 5-10 seconds in. It's rendering my new phone useless.
Any ideas as to what could be making my service cut in and out? It's receiving service, so clearly the bands are compatible; However, my research showed this to be true also, so that's not a surprise.
If anyone could provide some possible solutions to solving my issue, that'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much,
SaturatedLemon.

Lenevo Vibe Z2 Pro issue with sim card

Hi i recently bought a Lenevo Vibe Z2 pro 6 inch smartphone, i appreciate its a 2014 phone but was purchased as brand new from a uk ebay power seller
When i turn the phone on . it does two things alternately on one boot .. the sim 2 had an exclamation mark next to it and sim 1 has an x .. mobile settings such as apn are not active and accessible and the sim settings also cannot be altered, one the 2nd boot ... both sims have an x next to them and the sim settings are active, and also the apn settings which incidently are pre populated to the correct provider vodafone uk, they are even the correct pay as you got internet settings
In Sim Settings how the Sim is Categorised as UNKNOWN .. the ebay advert states the phone is unlocked to all networks in the uk . including vodafone .. .. however is it ??
I have an honor 6 plus which is practically the same as this phone and the sim is fine in that one .. which is unlocked and also chinese ... do you think its a problem with the rom installed by the seller .. the wifi was a problem initially but after three minutes it eventually came on and then the phone rebooted about 7 times before it worked fine . the phone has also since had instances of spontaneously rebooting
I am currently in the process of negotiating to return the item .. unless anyone has any ideas ??? the lenevo forum has clearly moved on from this phone as no reply was forthcoming there

Help needed: Ultra mobile SIM card is not recognizing on Moto z2 force

I got a Sprint Moto Z2 Force phone last year and had the service for a year. Now, I ported to new carrier Ultra mobile (a T-mobile MVNO) but the phone is not recognizing sim. A notification 'HiddenMenu: Invalid SIM card' is showing on screen. I contacted Ultra mobile thinking the SIM is damaged and they asked me to check with another phone. I tried that SIM with my old unlocked phone Moto G4 Play as well as my friend's Moto Z droid and it is working fine with both of those. I contacted Sprint as well to ask if my Moto Z2 Force is locked but they notified that it is unlocked which is further confirmed by Ultra Mobile. By the way, I have another non-US GSM sim card (Idea Cellular from India) that I tried in my Moto Z2 Force and it is working perfectly fine; not sure why Ultra sim is not working
The network setting : Settings>Network & Internet> Cellular Networks>Access Point Names showing message 'Access Point Name settings are not available for this user' while clicking on networks just keep searching for the network without any end to this process. I contacted both carriers many times and they don't have a clue why this is not working. I tried to reset my phone to factory settings but still did not help. I posted this on Sprint and Lenovo forums but no help from there, maybe this is a better place to seek the help. I am not able to use my number on my Moto Z2 Force since I got Ultra mobile sim. Please help me in this regard, any help will be appreciated!
thanks.
