Without any doubt?? The battery drain on lineage is horrible! Try AICP, overall a good and pretty stable ROM, daily updates and battery life is good too.

I get 8 Hrs + sot, with 1.5 days of standby.
And AICP is based on Lineage, if lineage got any issue then AICP automatically has that issue.

Nah man battery drains so hard on lineage (I tried both, unofficial and official) I had to switch again.. had like 4hrs SOT if even. So I went back to the latest AICP and didn't face that issue

Just because you got battery drain, that doesn't mean lineageos has issues, it's definitely mis behave by any app. I never had any issue. Even overnight drain isn't more than 2 or 3%

Well it does because I did clean flashs and installed exactly the same apps.. and even in standby it went down like crazy. Charging was fast but that doesn't help if your phone dies after 8 or 9 hrs and you don't have a charger near you
O and I'm not the only one who faces those issues on lineage, check the thread.

I'm using lineage, the battery backup is simply good,, I'm using stock kernel with about 7.5-8hrs of screen on time,, i think it's only u who has the problem!
By the way u have been talking all long so much about AICP, is the camera bug fixed? Can u get a sure shot volte like that of official lineage? Ans.. These!

It's not only me, again like I said search the thread.
The camera bug won't be fixed in any Nougat ROM until Xiaomi releases the Nougat sources. You can always use 3rd party camera apps, open camera works great.
Can't tell about volte since I'm not using it at all and I'm not interested in it either.

Seems like the mokee team has started rolling out Mokee 6.0.1 nightlies for our device. I can't wait to try it out, and I think more of you would be interested in doing the same. Please note, this is NOT MY ROM. I am just reporting that the builds are out. All credits to the Mokee team and others who worked on it.

Anybody else facing high rate of battery drain and slow charging. Ampere shows it too. Charging rate like 200 and drain rate like 1000. Happened only with this ROM
Edit: temporary issue probably idk. Still seems little bit slow.
Music is buggy. Pressing play doesn't play the song until you forward or backward the song little bit, also happens when next song comes up in queue. Happened also with a 3rd party app for me now.
I flashed this last night and Titanium Backup wouldn't restore my apps. I tried with both old and new device id. It just got stuck. Anybody know why? I did a clean flash.

Getting unusual heating issues and battery drain with all MM roms that I have tried. Personally I think that MM for cancro is still in the early stages of development. I would rather stay on CM12.1 and wait a few weeks till MM roms are improved.
Edit: After the 6th Jan nightly, this is now the best MM rom for cancro imo. The most stable marshmallow experience I have had on my device.

Is CM responsible for battery drainage problem in Moto E?

Is CM responsible for horrible battery drainage problem like 60-80% to 0?
For investigating this I flashed cleanly CM lp based rom many times but no luck.
I turned back to CM 11 but again no luck.
Finally I flashed Carbon kitkat an AOSP rom and now the battery drainage is not like that as in CM i.e 100 -70 as normal and after that two or thee bump of 10-15% to from 70-0.
I know it may be battery issue and my moto E is 15 months old but I dont't think that in any type of branded mobile however low budget phone it is,the battery issue comes as early as in moto E.
Is it be the flashing problem as we testers flash different types of roms daily .
Then why this issue is not happening in carbon rom?
Please testers throw a light on that.
Thank you.:good:
Same query here.
Same problem here too dude..! Even I replaced with new battery...still the issue remains...
Yep...CM is responsible for the battery. If there's new features the device eats more battery....So, cm ****s battery but enhances performance and daily use.
Finally I flashed stock 5.1 optiised deodexed, lets see what's the result and I'll tell.
True, you are not the only one facing this problem.
I tried Official Cm 12.1 December build and the battery drain on standby was huge.
Now that we have official CM 13, it uses the same tree and hence the problem persists.
I am sure it is a bug but the bad part is it is not noticeable or else it would have been fixed by now.
Soltuion: Use Mokee ROM, which is official for our device and is based on AOSP instead of CM.
Note: Right now it is Lollipop and soon they will start Marshmallow nighties. I recommend using stable lollipop version.
I am using it for weeks and it has definitely the best battery life. SOT has jumped to 7 hours and the standby is also better.

Sure, try stock. I am 99% sure it is CM's problem as many people are facing the same problem.
After stock, try Mokee. It's really stable and has all the necessary features. And one more thing, the release version is odexed which means faster boot and more stability. It also has OTA updates.
Happy to help

I have a query.
i got satisfactory battery performance when not using the phone for anything other than calling. But the battery seems to drain quick in this ROM .
I'm using the cm13 Unofficial build for condor.
The battery usage stats show computed usage and actual usage. The actual usage is double the computed usage. why is that happening?
Sry, me so NOOB.

This is surely due to excessive flashing attempts. I was literally flashing five to six ROMs a day? and my battery starts to give unusual drops from 15 to 0, 25 to 0 then it started to increase, from 40 to 0 (even on stock). So I replaced the battery with a new original one and it's working great now.
I also own another condor which is also running cm 12.1 and I mostly use to clean flash a new build every one or two month, and that device is still giving a battery life like as a new one.
PS. Bought both devices on 14 may 2014.
Anyone having WiFi disconnecting during sleep issue lately on cm12.1 and 13 ?
It usullay disconnects when device is at sleep for around 30 minutes or so and reconnects on waking up. Though the setting is enabled for WiFi connection during sleep.
Hit thanks if I helped you☺

Yes, I also think excessive flashing is responsible for the battery fault and it should be not due to CM.

Me 2 having the same problem!
First it all started by a bump of 10%-0%
Than it increased ..bump of 15%-0%
Than 20%-0%
I tried many ROMs still had the same problem! ..I read somewhere at XDA that lithium ion doesn't need full charge and overnight charging is harmful.. And can cause bumps ..
So I charged my battery to 75% and than I didn't got any bump ..as I tested till 3%..
So what I suggest is..those who are facing large battery bumps, do not charge overnight and charge till 80% and check ..
Yesterday I replaced my battery with the new one.
And no issues facing so far.
I think excessive flashing harms the battery.

Battery friendly MM [Android 6 ] Rom for Moto E | Your opinion/ suggestion !

Ever since I have shifted to MM rom, my battery is draining way too much. Have tried Greenify, Amplifier, AppOpsXposed, Powernap, Doze editor, but they have barely been able to provide me with a solution for my device.
I have been suggested by some of the above app developers to change my rom/kernel and see if the issue is still there. Hence I am seeking opinion from the testers on this forum - as to which rom for MM they've used and found most battery friendly. I will give it a try for the time being and see if battery drains the same way as before.
Any kind of input and suggestion is highly welcome, please do not forget to respond on the topic.
Maybe the reason is this:

Most of the Marshmallow ROMs available for our device are based on CM. Even some ROMs like VanirAOSP say they use AOSP as their base and dunno for some reasons I believe it's CM.
Now the problem is, after November, the device tree of CM got affected and all ROMs, CM or CM based which were compiled using the official tree, have the battery drain issue.
I am not 100% guaranteeing you that this is the reason but in my case that's what I feel.
Solution: I am using a very old build of Mokee ROM. It is based on AOSP and there are stable releases for our devices. I am using 28 June 2015 build as the new builds have a weird problem of phone being kept awake by the apps which are disabled by me. Weird, right?
So, I recommend you try an AOSP based ROM, old builds preferred.
P.S I get SOT of 8 hours on mixed usage and nearly zero % battery drop overnight.

Purenexus 7.0 with Franco kernel battery life

Here is a couple pictures of my phone right now after unplugging it at 100% 5 hours ago or so. Have been on the same WiFi the whole time and same brightness. Bluetooth has been on but not actually paired to anything. Have been playing games, Facebook, Messenger, and browsing the web. What do you guys think? Good battery life? Average? Should I be getting more with what I'm doing and since I've been on WiFi the whole time? I've only had a Nexus 6P for about 2 weeks now so trying to figure out if it's good or bad. Traded a used Moto X Pure for this device.
Last picture:
Average. Nougat battery life sucks and I'm tired of it.
About to go back to a MM ROM man.

I downgraded to MM today (phone came with N, I've only had it for a week).
I found Slim6 is fairly up to date, weekly build came out last week. Its on the Oct. security patch which is not far out of date.
I'm running it with the last Flash kernel for MM.
Still to early to make a call on battery life... But performance has been great and no bugs at all.

Would you link witch rom exactly you are using. Just saying Pie isn't terribly helpful. Please give us link or name of the rom and kernel if you use custom one.
What is heavily influencing battery draining is age of the device ( hence battery), level of usage every day, signal strength for various radios our device is using...and many other factors.
Again please give us advice on your rom of choice please

I use Aex pie and bootlegger kernel and nano gapps.
I dont use dt2w and pocket detection feature.
Ty for that mate, will be sure to check those out. Can you please tell me is there anything specific I need to do to turn off those features during kernel flashing or are those included and then I can turn them inside the settings.
Also any comments on auto-brightness feature

Lol
Then you review yourself
And its not your educational decision to waste your year or something
just try and if you doesn't like rom change it
its not too hard who you used custom roms
And if you analyzed in every roms threads many users for founds bugs, battery issue but some users never found these issue
If you ask for best rom you will find all roms names from different users
And for me its Xtended pie coz this is a first rom i did not use custom kernel and any doze or LKT and getting best performance
This is review link for you

9h of SOT is an issue ???? i mean i cant even get 4h out of miui 10 eu.
Resolve Battery Drain Issue
I am using Bootlegger ROM, with Franco Kernel App.
I keep the CPU and GPU at the very low,
And my battery is SUPERB!!!
Better than MIUI 10 ROM.
