[GLITCH] Screen Mirroring and Smartphone as Audio Speaker (Wireless) - Google Chromecast 2015

Hello XDA community,
Here is the way of screen mirroring using the classic Google Home application, but keeping the sound on your smartphone. (Hell Yea)
For a perfect case scenario, you should have close to zero latency while casting to Chromecast.
Steps:
1. Download a "Fake Call" android application from Play Store.
2. Mirror screen and sound on your Chromecast, with the classic way.
3. Launch a fake call using the application of step 1, answer it and press the Home button on your phone to go back to your launcher. (Do not close the call, make the smartphone "think" you are still talking with your friend on your smartphone )
(4.) Launch a youtube video and notice the sound is sent to the chromecast but you can still hear it on your phone ...
I know it is a bad way of casting a video, but it is the only costless way keeping the sound for people like me with setup including HDMI->DVI adapter and old screen.
(For fun you can ignore the steps above and make a Skype call while mirroring your screen and audio to Chromecast, this way you will see how I've found the glitch!!)
Have a nice day, George.

[Q] Reord Audio with screen blank/off? Any app for this?

Just wondering is there an app that will allow me to record audio (not calls) with the screen off?
I want to be able to record conversations without it being too obvious (yes I know there are implications to that) and if I have the phone on with audio recorder running it'll be conspicuous.
I have a conversation with someone later today that I'd very much like to record for future reference (partly just so I don't forget all the details they'll be telling me) so it would be great if anyone knows a freebie app I can download that would enable this!
Thanks
if I recall correctly, Resco Audio Recorder might have had such an option a blanking screen after set time

[Q] Hands free music solution?

Hi all,
I'm gonna do my utmost not to rant about this, but I'll set the scene a little. I moved back to the Android platform from my (pre-SIRI) iPhone 4 back in September. On my iPhone I was able to leave for work in the morning (hands full and running late, obviously), get in my car and switch on my bluetooth visor mount which would automatically paid with my phone. I could then press for voice command, say "play music" and I had tunes on my way to work without rooting in my pocket for my phone. Simples!
Unfortunately it's not been so simple to manage on my SGS3 - S Voice worked some of the time and it would sometimes pair with my bluetooth and sometimes need a reboot before it would play ball (not the sort of thing you should attempt whilst driving). I chalked this up to OS instability and flashed to CM.
Much happier with the functionality CM gives but I've taken a step backwards with regards to voice commands: Google Voice Search does what I want but then needs an on-screen touch confirmation, Speaktoit can't manage more than a single-track stab in the dark, nor can Skyvi and Vlingo looks at me with disgust and says "oh, we don't do music here...". Utter also can't manage more than one track unfortunately, though it's a valiant effort from the developer. There's Car Tunes Music Player, but it doesn't have functionality built in to respond to bluetooth press commands (ie doesn't appear in the 'open with' menu when bluetooth is pressed).
So, when you're wistfully looking at your 3 year old phone and wishing you could throw the new £500 one out of the window, it's time to ask for help:
Bottom line: Is there some app, setting, macro, NFC jiggery pokery or voodoo that will somehow just let me sit in my car with my phone in my pocket and tell it to play some music without having to handle it whilst I drive?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, I'm now completely at a loss and giving serious consideration to going back to the dark side!
Have you tried either Bluetooth Launch or Bluetooth App. Launcher? I haven't tried either of them, but they look like they might suit you. Tasker could do it for sure, but it's a little more advanced (basically, you'd need to make your own "script" with it).

Temporary fix for shifting HDMI + aduio in AOKP ROM 03201317

While messing around I found a fix for hdmi and sound, this is not permanent.
First things first
Micro Hdmi to hdmi required, also 3.5mm aux cable(for use with tv, sound system, ect) or headphones
Instructions,
1: install mx player
Then install ist add on ARMV 7 NEON CODEC ONLY!
THE PURPOSE OF MXPLAYER IS TO FIX SCREEN SHIFT UNTIL NEXT REBOOT OR UNTIL YOU TRY TESTING EVERY OPENGL APP OUT THERE AND MAKE TABLET REBOOT, I DID, if so just start mxplayer again, skip all other steps
2 install Sound about, sittings should be as so,
Wired headset detecion (check)
Wired headset microphone (leave unchecked)
Notification to speaker (check)
Media audio
[Let app decide]
ALL AUDIO WORKS THE 3.5MM JACK, JUST PLAY WITH SOUNDABOUT SETTINGS, IF YOU WISH TO WATCH VIDEOS IN MXPLAYER(ONLY PLAYER IN WHICH AUDIO WILL WORK) TURN VOLUME SLIDER WHITHIN APP TO 0 THEN TURN VOLUME BACK UP AS DESIRED.
Ok after above steps open mx player, play any video and switch decoder to S/W
Let video play about 5sec then tap sceen, player menus should show along with jb menu bar, just hit home and this fixes screen shift, I say again, its temporary, until you break it, real racing 3 is safe to play
Last step is audio (music only) plug. Aux/headphones into jack, music should auto start, if not, unplug, plug until it opens poweramp notification and music starts.
And your all set for my half a$$ hdmi experience
Thanx to the devs for these wounderful apps, all can be found in playstore, this is not a mod nor am I taking any credit, I'm just using tools developers made to make our lives easier the way they intended
This is my first thread in developers section, sorry if I'm unclear and misdirectional, if my post sucks just let me now, so I can improve
Ok, so I wnet to bed last night with mxplayer playing videos all night on loop, I forgot my mediapad was plugged into hdmi and I accendentally yanked it out, well idk what caused this but my hdmi is perma fixed… I rebooted, plugged and unplugged… no glitches at all, I have no eexplanation for this cause I have no idea how this happened lol, ill post a video for you guys.

Yeah, to bad its a hardware problem, the fix uses the software decoder of mxplayer

An app that fixes BLUETOOTH audio delay. ?

I've been looking for days on end, but I can't seem to find an app that fixes the delay in bluetooth speakers. For example, it would fix the delay for netflix so the sound matches the video.
I think that this delay is all software based, because Chrome and YouTube don't have delay, but most other apps do.
I was thinking, if this hasn't been created yet, which I don't know why because so many people complain about delayed bluetooth speakers, that it can't be that hard to create.
Like for example, just make it so you open the app, and it puts a sort of slider in the notification bar for you to adjust whatever is on the screen to sync with the video.
or maybe have the app open other apps from inside it and work like that? I have very little experience in coding,
So if anyone could explain to me why an app that syncs the screen with the audio doesn't exist, please tell me!
little more details, I'm using the speaker on my new Nexus 7 2013, and I also have a Nexus 4.
the speaker is a Jawbone Jambox. I bought so I could watch Netflix without headphones, but that's the only app the speaker isn't in sync, apart from.. every single game application.
thanks for any replies!

[Q] app that turns on screen when you change song

hello i have a nexus 5, i listen new music on my car using that phone, i would like to have an app that turns on the screen with the name of the artist-song im listening to...
for example if im listening to rancid-time bomb, i want the screen to tell me that for about 5 or 10 seconds.. then if another song starts then the screen should turn on and tell me that im listening to other artist other song.
do you know an app or xposed module that allows to do this?
are you an app developer than dares to create this kind of app?

I have something better then that so that you don't need to look away from the road.
1.)Grab this app Utter https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brandall.nutter Install it, Open it.
2.)A notification for it will now be at the top, Select it, It will greet you with some form of greeting, It will then beep prompting you to tell it what to do.
3.) Say to it "Announce Notifications" it will open accessibility options and tell you to enable accessibility for utter, enable it.
4.)Repeat step 2, And again tell it to "Announce Notifications" This time it will say that it will announce notifications.
5.)Open your music app, Play a song. Make sure your music player of choice has notifications, otherwise this won't work.
6.)lock the phone and the next time the song changes utter will announce it for you. For me personally it comes out as "A notification from Spotify saying: Crown (Album Version) Explicit - Jay Z"
To stop Utter from announcing repeat step 2 but this time tell it "Turn off notifications" Also utter will use the default system google voice which in my opinion is poopy, So i use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ivona.tts.voicebeta.eng.gbr.amy It sounds more natural and it's just nicer. If you decide to use the voice i linked you need to set the phone to use it and make utter use it also in its settings. Utter WILL announce anything it receives, and i mean anything. It may be a good idea to disable notifications for most things while using this so that your music sessions in your car aren't interrupted much. Last but not least Utter is useful for tons of things just take a look at it's command list and you'll see, hope this is as helpful as i hope it may be. Cheers.
The utter method worked but I can't listen to it properly since the music is playing louder than the voice notification, I rather see the name of the screen is there a way?
notification of songs please
hello i have like one month trying to make my nexus 5 to wake up every beginning of song
telling me artist-song in my display
i don't want to listen a voice notification
only watch who is playing now..
i want an app similar to knock2 or dynamic notifications
that actual works for this thing i want
because knock2 and dynamic has worked for whatsapp and other apps
but is not working for ttpod music app
