Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P5110 : won't turn on & won't charge - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I have a Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 GT-P5110 that won't turn and still gets detected by my computer when the buttons combination of Power button + Volume up + Volume down is maintained for a brief moment, but unfortunately it is not recognized by my PC.
What could have caused the issue
The person who used the tablet have that habit of using it until the battery is totally drained (until it shuts down automatically)
After the tablet got stuck with the boot logo, i was called to fix it . I used Odin to flash the stock ROM and to be honest it did work the first time and it did get back as normal. It started giving no sign of life when i performed a second flash which failed due to the USB disconnection that occurred during Odin's progress.
What i have tried so far
Button combinations :
Power => Nothing
Power + Vol Up => Nothing
Power + Vol Down => Nothing (supposed to get me to the download mode)
Power + Vol Up + Vol Down => Gets detected as a USB connected device, but not recognized (hearing the sound of connected/disconnected USB looping)
Disassembling :
I have disconnected the battery plug from the motherboard for 30 minutes => Nothing
Made sure that every connector gets unplugged and put back perfectly => Nothing
Bought a new battery from Amazon and plugged it => Nothing changed
My conclusion is that i have unintentionally soft/hard-bricked the tablet.
That's where my knowledge reach it's limits and bends to you, seeking your help.
I hope that i made it clear enough.
Thank you for your help and your time !
Fekih Taoufik.

[Q] S3+Paranoid Android 5.1 bootloop - Can't access recovery

Hello
I have a Galaxy S3 that was working normally for a few weeks with one of the latest Paranoid Android 5.1 builds, Boeffla kernel and TWRP recovery. Today I powered the device down and since then I am stuck in a strange bootloop, what happens is the following:
1. The device powers on as soon as I place the battery on the device, NO power on button required (when problems started battery was at about 45%).
2. If left alone it infinitely loops the "Samsung Galaxy S3 I900" screen
3. Volume Up+Home+Power if looped twice gives me the TWRP screen but the phone instantly reboots so the menu is effectively inaccessible
4. Volume Down+Home+Power enters download mode but at this point Vol Up or Vol Down commands are non-responsive, USB connection and Odin doesn't work AND the device restarts after 3-5 seconds on that screen, so I can't flash anything at the moment (Latest USB drivers installed)
5. If steps 3 or 4 are attempted when phone is connected by USB cable to laptop then the device infinitely loops the charging battery icon but it looks like it is not charging i.e. no charging animation at this point.
6. If I connect the device to power plug WITHOUT battery and replace battery when connected, then the device does not auto-start as per point 1. Power button for 5-10 seconds throws me to battery icon and halts
7. Device to power -> no battery -> attach battery -> Vol up + home + power leads to halted battery icon
8. Device to power -> no battery -> attach battery -> Vol down + home + power leads to download mode that auto-restarts after a few seconds as per point 4
I would greatly appreciate any help at this point as I am out of ideas and out of ways to search google in a meaningful way, all info I can find does not apply as I can not access TWRP or download mode.
Thank you very much
Ok

Perhaps a messed power button? You can remove the outer plastic for trial.

the power button feels ok, obviously I have no way of confirming that but it is certainly not stuck-in, i.e. i can feel it clicking when pushing it and it doesn't remain pushed in when released. all steps mentioned in my original post were tried without the back plastic on as I needed to hot-swap the battery for some of the steps. thank you very much for your input though
Your power button is faulty, if it powers on when you insert the battery then it's shorted out.

Z2 Tablet not booting after Magisk install

So thanks to Netflix and its implementation of security net I wanted to install Magisk on my Z2.
Im running the stock 6.0 Rom which was just rooted with supersu.
My tab was charged 80+%
I uninstalled SuperSU, went to TWRP and flashed Magisk.
After flashing the screen stayed black. Nothing at all.
Long press power gives me one vibration after 3 seconds but nothing else.
Long press power & vol - gives me the same vibration
Long press power & vol + gives me nothing
Connecting the tab to the computer gives me nothing. No device recognised (no adb, no fastboot)
Connecting the tab to a charger has the LED blinking red.
Long pressing power makes the led turn solid (no blinking)
Power & vol - the same
Power & vol + nothing
Basically I seemed to somehow have turned my tab into a brick oO
I can't even get it to boot to twrp or fastboot
Atm I'm letting it charge just to see if that was an issue (I doubt it)
Otherwise the only thing I can think of is opening it and disconnecting the battery...maybe that will help?
Ok nevermind. I managed to get into flashmode and reflash. tab is now working again!
How did you get it to be recognized and reflash? I flashed mine after rooting and I get similar behavior to what you were getting. It will vibrate once if I press the power button, I can get it to turn the light blue if I hold the up volume and the power button while plugged in. The screen will not turn on at the Emma tool doesn't seem to recognize it.
Same Problem here.
@pseudoheld could you please provide some more info?

Samsung Galaxy s6 keep shutting down

I'm not sure what's happening to my phone. It keeps shutting down. I can't use my phone if it's not plugged in to a charger.
Anyone with the same issue?
Hi , probably you have bad battery which doesn't keep energy , some issue on your usb charging port or you have some software issue .
Make sure you backup your data , remove all accounts from your phone like Google , Samsung ...
Now , make sure your phone is off , now hold together Vol + , Home button and Power button at the same time keep holding like that and plug charger on it to get the power keep holding like that and once your phone vibrate one release power button but keep pressing Vol - and home key until you see Recovery menu. Do Wipe cache partition and Factory Reset with vol - and vol + key and confirm with power button , once you do that reboot your device and wait for full system loading . Once system is full loaded turn off your phone and remove charger , now try to power on your device and see if the problem is fixed.
If you have still that issue put your phone in download mode the same way as above just this time use vol - instead vol + button.

HARD BRICKED SM- G925F Usb Jig not working

Hello. I have a SM-G925F which i rooted and then installed TWRP recovery by following youtube and tutorials here. Everything works fine for an hour and then the phone suddenly stop responding with a frozen screen. I tried to reset it by holding Power and Vol -. It turned off just fine however, it did not respond after attempting to turn it on. I have a feeling that i somehow messed up my firmware or whatever during twrp installation.
Notes:
1. No response when charging
2. Not powering on
3. Nothing happens when i pressed V up + power, Vol down + power... etc.
4. Does not respond to USB Jig.
Hope someone could help me out.

Question How to save a black brick

I tried to root my phone by magisk.
After flashing a patched boot.img, it's failed to boot into system and I got a message that "the device need factory reset". I clicked yes and everything seems ok,I can boot into system. Then I tried to flash img again. So I boot into bootloader. Unfortunately, this time I got a black screen. The phone doesn't response me anymore.
I tried the software repair in xperia companion but It cannot dected my phone when I hold on volume down and plugged in it. I also tried hold on volume up + power but nothing happened. Hold on power key also no response. The led light always black, only become red when I connect it to my pc.
What should I so now and what's my phone's status? I searched something about 9008 mode and edl but I don't know how to check whether my phone is really turn into that status, my pc cannot dect my phone.
Have the same problem, only with the 5 iii instead. Still looking for a fix.
Try to switch the phone off; then just plug it into your PC without holding the Vol- key. It has happenned a couple of times with me that the phone does not want to boot up, with attempts to get it into FLASH mode by holding the key down throwing more confusion into the mix.
I think there is a low battery protection. Make sure the phone is charged up. Keeps the device from death during a flash.
Red led mean a very low battery. Keep it plugged (not to PC but to power adapter) for 2-3 hours and then try again a force reset.
Never, never try flash or other stuff under 50% battery
Also force restart is keep pressed vol+ and power button (or vol- and power button) till you fell a vibration.
Try this after a good charge

It might require experimenting with service modes and different chargers. I had an early Xperia 1 III that bootlooped while charging after setting up the fingerprint reader. It seems that charging is disabled during booting. It has to finish or enter a service/fault mode.
my phone is having this after doing fastboot --slot=b reboot recovery (which actually I had to do fastboot --set-slot=b and then fastboot reboot recovery). the notification light blinks red. have tried vol up + power, vol down + power, and vol up + down + power for like 30 seconds and nothing

I feel sorry for you brother...such a nice device...OK let's talk what happened, the state now your device is in is called hardbrick and it had a corrupted bootloader or no boot loader, but your device is still alive, in your PC in device manager it lists as Qs USB mode with some number after it like qsusb9008...now this device can only be brought to life with the help of a blankflash file which can flash your boot loader in snapdragon service mode...actually no snapdragon can be hardbricked permanently now you need appropriate blankflash file for your device.. Please don't open the device if some repairmen suggests to do JTAG nothing is necessary all you need is blankflash file which is shared to only Sony testers groups.... Who tests ROMs before release and they hardbrick so they share those files to them.... Please don't loose hope....it takes time but certainly it can be bought back to life... And dont try any flashing utility as there is no functional boot loader on it now and nothing will work...Sony won't provide that for sure and they will say then can only solve by mother board replacement ,don't believe therm your device is perfect it only needs blankflash file as it entered into final safe mode... I ain't regular on XDA if you need any info contact me via my mail [email protected] g ma I'll .com
Have any of you tried this - https://developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/get-started/flash-tool/download-flash-tool/
ok in my case it was the charging IC
