Wouldn't the Moto Z need the SIM connectors opposite the SIM/microsd tray for this to work? I think it works on the S7 because it has those connectors because you can do both with the second tray

It would be very nice. I´ve seen a tutorial for another moto phone (no remember wich one) so I think it is possible to get the "Sd -sim" mode, I goona try as soon as I can get a micro sim that I can dissemble.:good:

Does the xt1650 even have phone contacts for a second SIM?
I'm pretty sure you need to make sure your phone is dual sim compatible for this to even work... So don't try this unless you actually have a dual sim variant.

NOTE1: You need to verify the correct placement and orientation of the SIM chip. It is different from the tutorial vid. Check it before you remove the SIM chip from the plastic card.
NOTE2: Insert the tray into the phone GENTLY! The MicroSD+SIM is slightly thicker than the Moto Z is designed for, so it took me a bit of wiggling before it would slide in.

hi, i have a problem regarding the camera
there a couple black dot in it and just to be sure, i already disassemble the phone to check whether it is dust...
already flash stock 2.3.6 , 4.0.3 , CM10.1 , CM 11 , but no luck...so im sure its the hardware problem
so here im asking if its possible to buy the camera module only? can anyone give me link?

Yes you can just buy the camera part & assemble (If you're confident!)
Just search ebay or amazon "galaxy s2 camera" in parts!!

Best to replace lens cover as well while you're at it (only few squid!!) to be on the safe side!

As far as I know camera's are same, not sure where you'd find a store that sold this part??, as I'm not from your part of the globe, I'm in UK!

Hi, we've got the old S2 out a drawer to lend to someone, it's not been used for 6+ months but worked fine then, the wifi no longer works, it thinks about turning on for about 10 seconds then switches back to off. I've tried a factory reset, I've tried CM12.1, tried going back to a different stock rom, still nothing at all, all does the same. Done lots of googling and people say to enter *#*#526#*#* to see what the wifi test says but that code doesn't work for me on 4.1.2, just get a sorry this number is not available.
Any ideas, be good to get it working.

Mine did this too, try taking the SIM card out. In the end I've completely wiped it and am now running CM12 nightly and it's being used by one of my lads as a gaming thing, and it works well for that (on WiFi) now I've sorted the partition sizes.

Check internal battery, if leaked, try to clean it or if you can, removeit !

Hello Xda and all orthers.
I've got a rpoblem/question which Elephone is refusing to answer for couple of weeks,
I've upgraded my TP firmware in this phone however the touchscreen doesnt seems to be work ok such like the touchscreen was rotated 180 somehow but he screen was on the place,
Example when you pull the notification bar down for normal you need to pull it of the edge of the screen right ?
but now after the firmware upgrade i need to pull it from the middle of the screen inorder to pull the notification bar down.
So i asked Elephone the stock/orginal TP firmware after few days i did get the file but when i want to flash the tool is telling me that i already have the newest TP firmware already installed ? So my question is how do i remove the old TP firmware inorder to flash the stock TP firmware ?
I've took also a video from the problem there seems to be not a problem whit the screen/touch self.
i already format+flash the rom no succes same problem

Guys really have none experience whit GTP adb tool ?
I just solved the same problem on mine. Elephone support is hopeless. They even posted the wrong TP firmware in their forum (GT970 instead of GT9157). If you are still looking for a solution please reply. It'll be a bit of writing.

Generally, it happens after flashing.
It might be a imei problem.

Sorry the unrooted method did not work for me. But do you have any idea on why BL is the file that fails the flash
What’s does it say when you insert your sim..is NO SIM CARD OR INVALID SIM OR EMERGENCY CALL ONLY...which of them

When I insert the sim it says nothing, but when I try turn mobile data on it says Insert SIM card Insert SIM card to access network
Also I always have this in my status

But after I started my Pad4LTE it said, there is an update and it installed it..
Settings and all the other stuff is ENGLISH and I even have a PlayStore installed?!
But before putting my MI.com and/or google credentials into the tablet, I wanted to know if that ROM is legit or some fake ROM.

My guess is that they installed it for you at the shop. Mail them to confirm.
Maybe the did in China, because it was delivered from there directly to me.. No extra stop in Europe somewhere. The "shop"/site/seller name is "tradingshenzhen".. But I will mail them to be sure, before adding PlayStore/MI-account.. I am still wondering why I have a Chinese nano SIM..

He actually did you a favour, he could have unlocked your bootloader and put a 3rd party modified ROM as others have done.
About the nano SIM, others received it to. Maybe they need to test the tablet and don´t bother taking it back out.
As long as you have a locked bootloader, you should be ok with a legit official ROM.
So, when I unlock my BL the PlayStore will be removed, because it will be "factory reseted" or?

When unlocking bootloader everything is erased, yes.
