I have to write a Tutorial to Downgrade from MiUi 8 7.3.3.0
I am a Service Technician . One day Customer brought Mi5 to me to bypass MI account Lock.
he factory data reset device and forgot mi account password. I thought solution is easy.
Here is Solution
boot device to EDL mode ,
Bypass account Verification with BST Dongle ,
Local Data Restore with other account backup file
All done......
But , In this device , Miui Version is 7.3.3.0 ( Android 7.0 )
I have a crisis , I can not boot this device to EDL mode . if device is in bootloader unlock state , I can erase aboot partition from fastboot and device will still at QDLoader 9008 mode. Now device is in bootloader locked.
so I decided to use Hardware Test Point to boot EDL Mode . Open Backcover , remove battery connector and reconnect it , short Two Test points and connect device to PC . Device connected in 9008 mode [ if device not detect please check driver ] . Now Flash Firmware Via Mi Flasher. boot device normally and bypass
The message what I wanna to pay is Android 7.0 disable boot to EDL Mode from ADB command , fastboot command and EDL boot cable methods. If you wanna to Downgrade with bootloader locked state , please use Test points.

Did you make it?
Mi wifi and bluetooth are NOT working!
I try to put the wifi on and the buttonn just returns to his position, same thing occurs with the bluetooth... Why is this? Is this the antenna that is break or maybe something about the software...?? I have the latest Golbal verison 8.2.2.0

if you bricked your mi5 after wrong flash or something went wrong and you not able any more to start you device normaly, so you'r in the correcte thread to unbrick your mi5 with the correcte fastboot rom and miflash beta

put your fastboot rom to c/ drive and extract it ,not on desktop or other extension
3 : enter on fastboot mode by pressing power and volume down you will see logo of xiaomi its fastboot mode,if you cant access fastboot mode just connect you mi5 to your laptop it will detect it as qualcomm driver
4 : open miflash beta and check flash all,chose you rom in c drive then clik refresh button you will se your device as com port,now start flash by cliking on flash button and be patient it will take over 5 min, when success unplug your and start your phone,if not start just let it connected to your laptop over 30 min it will start automatically
now enjoy your mi5 with latest miui8 china developer,

Hi guys, i was trying to flash a global stable rom with edl and miflash but something went wrong and miflash says that memory was unsifficient. What should i do? I'm on windows 10 64bit with all adb installed (i think). I even disabled the driver license. I didn't do nothing since the error and i don't know if i should unplug the cable or whatever.
hey, it says flash done (sucessful), but my phone still with black screen and nothing happens, should i just wait?
Hi guys, im not sure if this will help you or not but my phone bricked last night and ive manage make it work again by following this method but it little bit different so when it my phone successfully flashed, i just left it untill the batteries is empty by left it all night (before bricked the batteries was 50% i think), maybe it will take longer then mine and if this method work it showing battery empty indicator like normal phone.. ps: when my phone bricked i had no fastboot no recovery no edl, just black screen and red light indicator.. good luck guys
i have used the test point method and successfully flashed the latest Rom V8.5.2.0 with the latest MiFlash 201612220. after flash done, the phone still cannot turn on... anybody can help???
Since i was recieving less SOT (4-3 hours on light usage) on my mido even after flashing the stock rom (xiaomi.eu rom), i decided to replace the battery at an authorised mi service centre. They said they wont accept unlocked mi devices. So i decided to relock the bootloader. Heres what i did, (im using orange fox recovery)
1 . wiped system, data, cache, dalvik cache
2. formatted internal storage
3.flashed stock rom (from the official site stable version)
4.flashed the lazyflasher zip
then after finishing the initial setup of rom, i went to recovery and flashed the stock recovery.
then in fastboot mode I ran the script " fastboot oem lock" to lock the bootloader. But after rebooting, mi logo blinks for a second or two and shows a black screen.
I checked the bootloader status and it says locked (device unlocked : false). I tried the testpoint method and the DFC method but pc dont detect my device and i cant find the qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 in device manager. No matter how hard i try i cant get my pc to detect my phone in both the methods. Also when i try to get into edl mode (by shotting the first and 4th contact points located above the battery) i can hear windows 10 sound of detecting a device but nothing appears in the device manager. Im sure i have all the drivers installed and i really dont know what im doing wrong here. Is there any other way to unbrick my device?
Try detect your phone by using latest mi flasher. (Download and install it first). If your device's blink red, i sign if it in EDL mode. I dont know what happen to your device actually, because i never try to relock my mi phones using ''fastboot oem lock". I use mi flasher to relock my phone by clicking ''flash and relock" on Mi flasher. Try mi flash first, then comment here again if it fails.
aah i didnt know testpoint method requires battery plugged in, silly me. This time pc detected my phone (testpoint) and as per your suggestion i tried miflasher and it worked (yaay). thanks for helping me out here...

now i am trying to use edl mode to short the test points
should the phone be off or in fastboot mode while doing this
will start working when i short test points by tweezer and be identified by the computer or what
please explain how as teachers do ?

can you just fastboot to edl? also dont you need an authorized account to flash in edl? im trying to get my mi 10 pro back to cn rom and edl says account not authorized
i couldn't do fastboot to edl
the only way i found is through test points
still can't do it properly so i am asking about the proper way

Hi, my POCO x3 NFC stuck on softbrick mode. I can turn it on, but only in fastboot mode or with power and Vol+ in the cecovery mode. With a normal boot, the miu system won't start. Unfortunately no usb debugging, or "find my phone" is activated and a mi account for the poco isn't activated too.
I tried several settings to recover the miu system (repair mode, safe mode) etc. but no success. Withe the adb/fastboot command i can connect the handy with my computer, but i can't unlock the boot loader. Flashing is not allowed. With the unlock tool from Xiaomi i signed in with a new account, but i think i have no success, because this handy was not connected with a mi account before softbrick ?
Does it make sense to open the backcover and set the handy in EDL mode ? Is this possible ?
There is any chance to recover my Poco?

Yes i did. In the meantime i could reactivated the poco with open the backcover. First i disconnected and reconnected the accu, then helped warm air, because poco was under water shortly. But ist helps, now the poco works fine again.

EDL mode is difficult to start, you can't normally get into it. MiFlashtool works in both fastboot mode and EDL mode. If you normally use MiFlashtool, it's just a simple fastboot.
EDL mode can be triggered using test points accessible from inside the phone, located on the motherboard. For some devices it was also possible to use a USB cable. Which test points to use, or whether the EDL cable for the RN10 also works, I don't know yet.
However, EDL mode is definitely still an option before throwing your phone away.
