Hardbricked while trying to relock bootloader - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

Since i was recieving less SOT (4-3 hours on light usage) on my mido even after flashing the stock rom (xiaomi.eu rom), i decided to replace the battery at an authorised mi service centre. They said they wont accept unlocked mi devices. So i decided to relock the bootloader. Heres what i did, (im using orange fox recovery)
1 . wiped system, data, cache, dalvik cache
2. formatted internal storage
3.flashed stock rom (from the official site stable version)
4.flashed the lazyflasher zip
then after finishing the initial setup of rom, i went to recovery and flashed the stock recovery.
then in fastboot mode I ran the script " fastboot oem lock" to lock the bootloader. But after rebooting, mi logo blinks for a second or two and shows a black screen.
I checked the bootloader status and it says locked (device unlocked : false). I tried the testpoint method and the DFC method but pc dont detect my device and i cant find the qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 in device manager. No matter how hard i try i cant get my pc to detect my phone in both the methods. Also when i try to get into edl mode (by shotting the first and 4th contact points located above the battery) i can hear windows 10 sound of detecting a device but nothing appears in the device manager. Im sure i have all the drivers installed and i really dont know what im doing wrong here. Is there any other way to unbrick my device?

Try detect your phone by using latest mi flasher. (Download and install it first). If your device's blink red, i sign if it in EDL mode. I dont know what happen to your device actually, because i never try to relock my mi phones using ''fastboot oem lock". I use mi flasher to relock my phone by clicking ''flash and relock" on Mi flasher. Try mi flash first, then comment here again if it fails.

aah i didnt know testpoint method requires battery plugged in, silly me. This time pc detected my phone (testpoint) and as per your suggestion i tried miflasher and it worked (yaay). thanks for helping me out here...
didnt xiaomi removed edl mode from RN4 due to security reasons??

Can anyone help me with this???
My OEM unlocking option gets unselected on its own even after my phone is unlocked. I have rn4 SD variant.

[Q][SOS][Xiaomi Hongmi S1] Recovery

Hi there guys!
My Xiaomi Hongmi S1 couldn't pass the boot phase after me trying to install Xposed. Then, the software Mi Phone Manager tried to recover the system files with the phone in fastboot (in this phase I still could enter fastboot and recovery) - somewhere along this process I had to leave and, when I came back, I had an error message in the software and the phone was turned off. After this I could not turn the phone on anymore, not even into fastboot or recovery.
MiFlash detects the phone even like this, but is unable to flash things into it.
PLEASE, HELP ME!
Someone?
Go in fastboot to pc
(you probably see anything on your phone)
On PC you can see if you are in fastboot by
Klicking on Refresh button on MiFlash you will see that you are connected
And Flash stock rom
See On thread (1)
(Also See MiFlash Picture from Thread)

If that fails, your phone is probably broken.

Redmi note 3 bricked?

Hello,
I just received my redmi note 3 SD, with globale stable rom...
I wanted to install CM13.
So first, i wanted to install global dev rom to unlock bootloader.
I tried with updater but i have an error.
I tried with fastboot global dev rom and miflash with the tuto but i have always error.
I tried different version of rom and miflash and now my phone is on black screen. I haven't any acces to fastboot mod with start button+volum - or +.... I have only red light and black screen and when i connect phone to pc i see that: Qualcomm HS USB Diagnostics 900E (com10).
Can you help me to unbrick please?
first: u dont unlock the bootloader by flashing global dev rom ... u unlock the bootloader by either request official unlock and using the official xiaomi unlock tool or use the inoffiial method.
is the red light flashing? maybe youre in EDL mode? then u can flash the whole rom
I have one redmi note 3...unlocked with cm13 since june... i did all myself.
The new redmi note 3 with problem is for my father, i formatted my PC so i reinstalled all soft yesterday. I know how to unlock bootloader but i think i must be with rom global dev...
i think i'm not in EDL mode because when i refresh in miflash, i can't see my phone. Before, when i was in EDL mode, my phone was detected by miflash...
I have the red light ....
I see a solution is to remove backpanel, and remove the battery to reset the phone but i'm afraid to do this...
Thanks to help me

you don't have to be on global dev rom to unlock bootloader, i unlocked mine officially on global stable rom
I have opened the back panel, disassemble motherboard and push the 2 pins... After, my device was detected as Qualcomm 2008 and not 900E and it was detected into miflash old version...
I tried to flash the last fastboot globale stable rom but i had an error " max buffer sector is 256"... And my phone came back to Qualcomm 900E in the windows 10 settings... And it's now not detected by miflash... I need to unmount again and touch the 2 pins on motherboard...
After what i can do to flash a rom correctly?? I don't understand why i have always an error...
Use newest version miflash on windows 10. Make sure it's plugged into USB 2.0 port.
Hello,
Problem solved... I disassemble a second time the phone, i pushed the 2 pins on the motherboard.
I did the same as this tuto: http://en.miui.com/thread-245347-1-1.html
At the middle of the tuto, i don't understand why but my phone turn on with logo "Mi" at boot!!! And the phone boot correctly...
On my PC, I have unistalled all programs and reinstalled all,.. After, i have installed ROM Global dev>Unlock BL> Install TWRP>Install CM13>Install Gapps... And now the phone works fine!!!
Thanks!

Need help with bricked kenzo

I know there is few hundered threads with "unbrick" in title but I read them all and nothing seems to work.
Friend brings me kenzo that he gets since his cousin brick it while trying OTA.
When I power phone its start to load system and it has 3 stages:
1. Show screen with "powered by Android" and 3 dots in the bottom, usualy about 4 min and restart
2. After restart just get black screen with Mi logo in the middle, for about 30 sec and restart
3. Instead of Android with dots bottom have white line progres bar, it takes 4 to 5 min and restart again.
After that stage 2 and 3 repeat for long as you have nervs to wait .
Phone can get in recovery and fastboot mode. And when I put him in test mode just show test screen and cant do anything.
In fastboot mode MiFlash recognize phone but report "device is locked" (try with 20160401 and 20160830).
After that i put him in EDL mode (fastboot reboot-edl) and MiFlash report successful flash. But nothing changes.
I try flashing global stable v8.0.5.0, china stable v8.0.4.0, global dev v6.10.13 and at the end global stable v7.2.5.0.
Any idea welcome. Thx
Have you tried to unlock bootloader? Perhaps install TWRP and do a system/dalvik/cache wipe and install MIUI through that?

Cant do that. Even unofficial unlock need phone to be working to enable USB debbuging and accept RSA kay from PC.
Edit: Right now looking for ways to edit boot.img to unlock bootloader in attempt to get any useful recovery.
you can try this guide to flash twrp altogether with rom. after flashing, directly boot to twrp and move to custom rom

I will try... but dont think it will do the job. Will post result little later.
EDIT
It dose not work, just as I think.
All that kind of method/advice need 2 things:
1. Enabled USB debbuging - You cant do that on bricked phone even if you edit boot.img ( ro.debuggable=1 ) because fastboot will not execute command since you will not have option to accept RSA kay from PC on your phone and complete that action.
2. Dev ROM - since you have to enable OEM unlock and that option you have only in dev ROMs. Even Xiaomi official unlock requires that you must do it on dev ROM and that is a reason for "stuck on 50% in unlocking".
I try all that I can think: edit boot.img file, use patch emmc_appsboot.mbn, use edited flash_all.bat and rawprogram0.xml, insert sTWRP and ZCX TWRP in fastboot ROM... and all combination of that. Did it on 7.2.5.0 and 8.0.5.0 stable and 6.8.18 dev (since its last 5.1 ROM that I have).
Most of this attempts ends with "3 stages" explained in the first post. Some just show Mi logo for few sec and restart, once even power off phone. And once I even get phone to go directly to sideload/recovery state showing picture of the phone and usb cable.
Only thing left now is to find info is there difference in accessing to EDL mode between software (reboot-edl), deep flash cable and testpoint. IMHO there is none or little difference. Since software and deep flash can be troubled with bad USB cable or connector or USB board in phone.

Big bricked device problem on EDL Mode

I bricked my RN3Pro on AOSP Extended Rom so i started to flash Xiaomi official rom by MiFlash. That took me 2000seconds on MiFlash so i disconnected phone (to try it again). It crashed from fastboot mode to EDL (red led is blinking). And now.. My phone is undetectable on my PC and two notebooks. I have xiaomi drivers / google drivers, tried to add new android drivers. Nothing helps.
Trying to detect phone by MiFlash, adb, fastboot programs (some versions.. "minimal" too). Its still undetectable. Devices list is always empty. I don't think this is because of the drivers, this was ok before installing this bad xiaomi rom.
I need my phone tomorrow so please help me!
Just press power + volume Down
Then unlock bootloader and then reboot phone
I have the same issue, stuck on EDL (red led blinking) unable to be detected on anything, cannot use buttons to get into Fastboot or recovery.
Please help!!
Use test point method...... U will find the trick on YouTube...

Mi A3 stuck on Fastboot and lost unlock bootloader after MiFlash's flash attempt

I have been experiencing MIUI on MI A3 for a long time, and I tried to go back to Android One because of drain battery. I attempted to flash in MiFlash. Obviously it succeed, it took about 700 seconds, and I obviously unlocked the device, but unfortunately, F*#k Xiaomi, when it rebooted, it went back to Fastboot logo, and it was even more confused when the device was LOCKED again. The unlock icon disappeared in Android One logo, when I checked on fastboot getvar all command, it said that the device wasnt unlocked. IT COMPLETELY LOST UNLOCK, AND I CANT DO ANYTHING. I CAN NOT BOOT TO THE ROM TO ENABLE OEM UNLOCK CUZ IT IS BRICK. I CAN NOT FLASH NEITHER TWRP NOR MIUI ROM NOR EVERYTHING CUZ BOOTLOADER IS GONE, THE PHONE CAN NOT REACH ANY COMMAND AND I CAN NOT FLASH THROUGH MIFLASH ANYMORE . Is there any solution for it, do I need to sell Mi A3 to exchange to iPhone 6s? SCREW MiFlash, everytime I flashed, it always gives a nightmare, rather than giving a hope. . Now I just need a solution to flash any possible rom without unlock bootloader, ANYTHING. Thank you, I will be appreciated.

I think that your current slot is b
Same situation here.
My fault reflashing stock android and locked in partition B.
Now only have a fastboot mode, but with locked bootloader i´m lost.
EDL mode bloqued by Xiaomi (Only verified account)
Xiaomi Flash tool formats your device & locks the bootloader by default (yeah, Xiaomi is stupid). You have to manually change this before you flash your device (the option is located at bottom-right side of the program). Since your device got locked, I'm afraid you won't be able to flash stock ROM with this tool anymore. And custom ROMs/TWRP won't work with locked bootloader. I think EDL is the only solution now.
