Mi A3 stuck on Fastboot and lost unlock bootloader after MiFlash's flash attempt - Xiaomi Mi A3 Questions & Answers

I have been experiencing MIUI on MI A3 for a long time, and I tried to go back to Android One because of drain battery. I attempted to flash in MiFlash. Obviously it succeed, it took about 700 seconds, and I obviously unlocked the device, but unfortunately, F*#k Xiaomi, when it rebooted, it went back to Fastboot logo, and it was even more confused when the device was LOCKED again. The unlock icon disappeared in Android One logo, when I checked on fastboot getvar all command, it said that the device wasnt unlocked. IT COMPLETELY LOST UNLOCK, AND I CANT DO ANYTHING. I CAN NOT BOOT TO THE ROM TO ENABLE OEM UNLOCK CUZ IT IS BRICK. I CAN NOT FLASH NEITHER TWRP NOR MIUI ROM NOR EVERYTHING CUZ BOOTLOADER IS GONE, THE PHONE CAN NOT REACH ANY COMMAND AND I CAN NOT FLASH THROUGH MIFLASH ANYMORE . Is there any solution for it, do I need to sell Mi A3 to exchange to iPhone 6s? SCREW MiFlash, everytime I flashed, it always gives a nightmare, rather than giving a hope. . Now I just need a solution to flash any possible rom without unlock bootloader, ANYTHING. Thank you, I will be appreciated.

I think that your current slot is b

Same situation here.
My fault reflashing stock android and locked in partition B.
Now only have a fastboot mode, but with locked bootloader i´m lost.
EDL mode bloqued by Xiaomi (Only verified account)

Xiaomi Flash tool formats your device & locks the bootloader by default (yeah, Xiaomi is stupid). You have to manually change this before you flash your device (the option is located at bottom-right side of the program). Since your device got locked, I'm afraid you won't be able to flash stock ROM with this tool anymore. And custom ROMs/TWRP won't work with locked bootloader. I think EDL is the only solution now.

Unbricking RN4 (SD)

Hello guys,
i wanted to upgrade my Ressurection Remix ROM and managed to softbrick my phone. While flashing the software (Flashing system partition unconditionally) TWRP got stuck.
My phone got an unlocked bootloader and i already tried to flash the global MIUI ROM via EDL and also fastboot. The flashing process is successfull but after i restart my phone i'm stuck at the MI Logo with the moving Android Circles for loading.
I let this run for ~6 hours, no progress at all.
I also tried flashing the Global DEV Rom, same as above.
Factory Reset via Recovery Mode (with MI Suite) also didn't do the trick.
I think something with the bootloader went wrong. Any ideas to unbrick it?
I can access Fastboot and EDL Mode, unlocked Bootloader. I also got a TWRP backup with System and Data Partition, but currently only the original Revocery is installed.
Any help is very much appreciated, thank you.
Did you tried using this guide to flash stock firmware/recovery?
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
Yes, the problem is not to flash the Fastboot ROM, but after successfully flashing the ROM i got stuck at the MI Logo with the loading Android dots
That's weird.. this bootloop usually happens when you flash stock MIUI and still have TWRP installed, can you check if you have stock recovery after fastboot flash?
After i flashed the global DEV ROM i got the stock recovery where i can choose between Wiping Data, switch to MI Suite etc.
Edit: Its not really an bootloop, it just gets stuck there without doing anything
Update: Got TWRP back, now if i want to flash any ROM (doesn't matter if stock/custom) i'm stuck at TWRP saying: "Patching system unconditionally..." it stays there for hours.
Any advice in this case?
guys,, i was facing same problem. I also agree that 8012... status does not matter to unlocking bootloader. I was tried all but fail after granted permission. I was tried daily. after 5 days when I tried with old mi unlock tool I got error at 50%. After that restarted my phone and clicked on settings and in developer menu, I watched i clicked on allow unlock bootloader but I forgot to click on usg debbuging. after clicked it I went for fastboot with old unlock tool and I got success. thankyou.
Try my method you will get success. hit like. stay tune. tandob is here to help you guys.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the problem mentioned above.

Hardbricked while trying to relock bootloader

Since i was recieving less SOT (4-3 hours on light usage) on my mido even after flashing the stock rom (xiaomi.eu rom), i decided to replace the battery at an authorised mi service centre. They said they wont accept unlocked mi devices. So i decided to relock the bootloader. Heres what i did, (im using orange fox recovery)
1 . wiped system, data, cache, dalvik cache
2. formatted internal storage
3.flashed stock rom (from the official site stable version)
4.flashed the lazyflasher zip
then after finishing the initial setup of rom, i went to recovery and flashed the stock recovery.
then in fastboot mode I ran the script " fastboot oem lock" to lock the bootloader. But after rebooting, mi logo blinks for a second or two and shows a black screen.
I checked the bootloader status and it says locked (device unlocked : false). I tried the testpoint method and the DFC method but pc dont detect my device and i cant find the qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 in device manager. No matter how hard i try i cant get my pc to detect my phone in both the methods. Also when i try to get into edl mode (by shotting the first and 4th contact points located above the battery) i can hear windows 10 sound of detecting a device but nothing appears in the device manager. Im sure i have all the drivers installed and i really dont know what im doing wrong here. Is there any other way to unbrick my device?
Try detect your phone by using latest mi flasher. (Download and install it first). If your device's blink red, i sign if it in EDL mode. I dont know what happen to your device actually, because i never try to relock my mi phones using ''fastboot oem lock". I use mi flasher to relock my phone by clicking ''flash and relock" on Mi flasher. Try mi flash first, then comment here again if it fails.
aah i didnt know testpoint method requires battery plugged in, silly me. This time pc detected my phone (testpoint) and as per your suggestion i tried miflasher and it worked (yaay). thanks for helping me out here...
didnt xiaomi removed edl mode from RN4 due to security reasons??
Can anyone help me with this???
My OEM unlocking option gets unselected on its own even after my phone is unlocked. I have rn4 SD variant.

Mi A3 weirdly stuck in fastboot mode, please someone help
I recently opened my mi A3's bootloader and then flashed twrp image as it was error or something, my phones got stuck on fastboot mode and after that I have to flash stock rom v11.0.11.0 through mi flash tool and I successfully worked but then I installed magisk and flashed boot image to obtain boot image and that too successful worked but guess what real problem starts here, after the other day I restarted my device and android one logo showed up and then it got stuck on fastboot mode, then I have to again flash the same rom and again patched boot image file to get my phone back working and it went well for 2-3 days but suddenly, yesterday magisk notified that "DTFO is patched, tap to reboot" and I ignored and after that after few hours my phone automatically got restart and stuck on fastboot again and now when I try to flash the same rom again, it takes more than 3500s in mi flash tool and still not showing success, currently stuck on fastboot, no flash tool is working, can someone help please??

Locked bootloader, phone kept rebooting to fastboot and stuck in slot b

( I had a thread about this problem but will be described clearer about what happened )
I tried to flash stock rom through MiFlash after a few time sticking with custom ROM, didnt notice the default option was FlaSH aLL aND lOCk, and I am now stuck at fastboot. When I checked the command fastboot getvar all, it gave me 2 results, locked bootloader ( of course ), and active slot : B. After looking for some information, I knew that slot b could not be able to boot into stock rom and slot a could not boot to custom rom, I didnt notice that and totally forgot to change the slot, and the only option to bring my phone to life is to change the active slot to A. I belive the rom is still alive, it is just remaining some where in slot a. Is there any possible way to bring my Mi A3 back to life in any cost, either EDL or anything else? I tried EDL method ( no test point anyway ) but it gave me a big damn " cANnoT rEceIvEd HellO pacKeT ". I'm afraid no matter how many times I flashed, either in fastboot or in EDL, the active slot will stiill keep remaining b and never return to a without a bootloader unlocked, which mean the phone will permanently be bricked. Any hope for it? I will be appreciated

Question Hardbrick Redmi Note 10

Hi, I hope you can help me. I have a problem with my "Mojito" after installing miu version 13.09 there was an error that caused my laptop to turn off.
Since then my phone only starts in fastboot, I have tried to install different roms from different places on several occasions but the same error remains (Flashing Is not allowed in Lock State).
if your phone can boot to fastboot... you have a chance...
If you have internet , download Mi Unlock Tool and sign-in to your Mi Account then Unlock Bootloader again (don't worry about wait time you can unlock it inmediately if you already unlocked it before)
Phone will reboot and you can flash MIUI or a Custom Recovery/ROM again...
hope this can help
