Did you unlock your bootloader?

I see my mistake. This update is for the smaller deluxe. 5.5 move is 5.7 and update isn't out yet.

Does anyone knows when Asus will release this update to the 5.7 models (snapdragon 820 and 821)???

Yeah. From what I researched, it would take a week for all zenfone 3 deluxes to be updated. Waiting here until 03/08/17

He's right...
I don't understand why they made so many different models (3 different CPU's, depending on the CPU 2 sizes of RAM)... I wonder how many people bought a 550 while they actually wanted the 570, it can be pretty confusing for not too technical people I guess...

Asus released the Nougat for two more models today.
ZE520KL and ZE552KL.

I am from India as well and I used KK for Russia and everything is just working as fine. Although if you need rooting you may result in void warranty.
(only if you root). But since I cannot live without root, i took the risk and boom it worked.....!!!!!

Hey,
How's the performance?
Is it worth getting some solid performance wit rooting.
I really love its form factor over other high end 5 inchers.
Are there sufficient developers for this variant? Coming down from Nexus series, I do want to feel
the naked stock android with the Mega form factor. Have you faced any major issue with flashing ROMs. Wha's the success % of unbricking it? I really need some boost or motivation as I am in a fix whether should go ahead or get hands on lg g2. BTW, what you say about getting unlocked US version or the Indian one?
Do put some insights, have been caught up in this major smartphone spoilt with so many choices.

Stuck on Lollipop plz help

If there is no official update , u can't install or find a firmware which matches for our device . and the 14 days deadline , try to get an unlock code directly from vmall

You may want to check CM13 for Honor 7.
Hi
Latest lollipop ROM for that model is B211.
You can download it from here:
http://emui.huawei.com/plugin/hwdownload/detail?modelId=171
There are two files there, one is B211 Stable ROM, and the other is Beta ROM 5.12.16.
You will have to update using three button method, and it will completely erase your data (BACKUP FIRST!)
After that, you can request update on HiCare app, or wait a few days, you will get B380 MM update, then probably B383.
You can also try Beta ROM, which works fine and it gets 2 updates per month. It's also on MM.
Regards.

Not getting OTA update

Hello everyone.
Just got my new Redmi Note 4. I see its ROM version says "MIUI Global 8.1 | Stable, 8.1.15.0 (MCFMIDI)" and, from what I have read, it should be the global official ROM.
Problem is, I go to the updater and it says there are no updates. But I read here around that global stable v8.2.5.0.MCFMIDL has been released. Why am I not getting it? Can be that I have vendor rom? If not, can it be official global but not support OTA? How can I find out?
Thanks!
Sorry. I left out the device is the 3gb RAM/32gb ROM, SD version...
Be patient and wait for OTA.

Are you checking for OTA using WiFi? Sometimes OTA is not found using Mobile data!!
Yes I am!
Maybe it's just a matter of time... I read elsewhere that 8.2.5 has been very recently released, so maybe I just need to wait.
On the other hand, two related questions:
1. Does carrier or region have anything to do with it? With getting OTA updates I mean... Maybe orange in Spain is too far away from China or something...
2. Now that I have installed one update manually.... I should still be getting OTA updates (if everything's alright)?
Thanks a lot!

1- Yeah update are region dependent, but its been quite a while since miui v8.2.4.0 is out, so you should be getting notification for that. If not you can flash latest miui stable (v8.2.4.0) via fastboot method.
2-Yeah as long as you're on official MIUI you'll get future OTA updates.
Latest global stable is 8.1.15.0
The others (8.2.2.0/8.2.4.0) have been withdrawn.
The 8.2.5.0 is nightly and only some users will get this update OTA. Wait till it gets stable. Expect a week or so...

And thanks too!
I will wait patiently
I've just tried to install latest developer version system mode, as it is explained in en.miui.com (zip file, through the updater app, etc), and it says that I can upgrade to that dev version online from stable official stable ROM.... So despite version code being right it seems I do not have an official ROM
Well, might be time to root then I guess...

I found no info about that. I guess too many users complained about bugs... Xiaomi is not really transparent when they withdraw ROMs...
My Redmi Note 4 and my Redmi 4A both came with a ROM that has been withdrawn a while after OTA relesse. ?
It looks like some stable global roms are not very stable after all... A little bit unreliable
Anyway I am kind of finding out that the message I get when trying to flash dev rom through system/recovery (can't verify update...) might not necessarily be due to having vendor rom. Still investigating...
Thanks for the answers and feedback.

You cannot flash latest dev rom using updater app.
If you want to move from stable to beta/dev rom on RN4 with locked bootloader you have to first download miui_HMNote4XGlobal_7.2.16_e6eed016d8_6.0.zip which can be flashed using updater app then you can update your device to latest dev/beta rom...
And if you update your device to dev rom you cannot go back to stable without unlocking bootloader.....
Ok!
I was getting to that kind of realization, although I lack tchnical knowledge.
It's all good then. I'll wait for next OTA to arrive.
Cheers!
I have just recieved 8.2.5.0 OTA.

Firmware B170/B166 available

Huawei Firmware Finder doesn't have this version, maybe not released by Huawei, yet?
Nothing here in denmark, latest is b164
This update is not available on Huawei's public servers, so this is not likely to be found on Firmware Finder, until when/if it is publicly released.
The published changelog is as follows, but I don't think it's correct changelog -- Huawei often doesn't offer an accurate changelog until well after, when the update is released to public.

I have no idea about time frames.

FunkyHuawei is a paid service, so the xda team won't allow any support here.
But I think, that there's something that I can say about FunkyHuawei:
To update your phone with their services you have to buy points. When there wasn't any change, you have to buy at least 5 points for USD $30 and the update takes 1 point.
But be careful with this firmware, I once installed B124 via FunkyHuawei a few months ago and had huge problems with Camera and UMTS (don't have 4G with my sub-provider).
My phone was barely not usable just because of a firmware provided by FunkyHuawei.
So, don't update if you have no problems with your installed firmware, just for having a newer one. There isn't even a changelog, so FunkyHuawei has an firmware, which isn't released by Huawei yet and this can have a good reason.

I tried to upgrade to B166 from Firmware Finder but at the end when the file was downloaded, i got an error pop up.
Saying that the file failed the authentication, hence the upgrade didn't start.
I guess then B166 hasn't been released officially yet...

Hi there has anyone seen the update for this version with face unlock yet? Seems some other versions have it and I can see it on firmware finder but it's not authorized for ages now and I don't have an unlocked bootloader....
Same here. I been waiting for the update with face unlock. I downloaded the update with firmware finder "update. zip" but i do not know how to install it manually.

After all that bricks I think almost nobody is taking that route. I had like 30 Android devices so far and never read so many reports.
Makes me think if the approval of update 142 could be related to this. The risk of a brick updating from 137 is too high, so they are not approving any updates until they fixed it. What you think?

I guess we should just be patient. It sucks though when all the other cheaper variants get the update first compared to a £700 flagship
Even my friends Mate 10 Lite got the update with face unlock feature smh.

There were no bricks with BLA-L29 C432 devices. I'm on B142 C432 and had no issue to update from B141 (noxloader). Also, B142 pass SafetyNet verification, so it was approved by Google.
