three network uk - Wileyfox Swift 2 Questions & Answers

Quick question about dual SIM. Will the swift 2 support two three network sims?
Remembering they don't support 2G only 3G and 4G

My three UK Sim works in both Sim slots, so I don't see why there would be a problem.

No, it only supports 4/3G + 2G. I tried to have the Three sim card in the non-"data slot" and I got on signal.
Hope this helps.

Can confirm, one slot is 2G (the one not used for mobile internet) so you can't use two Three sims.

Thank you, you confirmed what I thought...

Honor 7 - Dual SIM with Dual Data connection 4g/3g

Hi Lads,
I bought an Honor 7 EU, because it was the only one can run two SIM connected to 4G and 3G at the same time also with active data connection. The only limit is that the first SIM must be connected to 4G to allow second SIM linking to 3G networks.
I saw the review on an Italian Blog (by A.Galeazzi on HDBlog) were the phone was on 4G on SIM1, and 3G on SIM2 and was explained also a sort of download boosters which use the two data networks simultaneously.
Unfortunately for me (ut of the box with release b100 and later with updated b121) the phone has always been connected to 2G networks on SIM2.
On a side note, I have a Wind Plan in Italy, that is correctly connecting to 4G Networks, while the second SIM is 3IRL which theoretically should connect to a 3G network Three UK/ITA. Unfortunately the issue is that the second SIM is roaming not on 3 sister Network but in 2G on a different network.
This for me is a big deal because with 3 IRL I have free calls and sms even when roaming (3 Like Home), as long as the phone is connected to a sister network (ergo 3ITA or 3UK). I use 3IRL for work, this means i'm an heavy users, so it is vital that the second SIM is on a sister network (3Italy/3UK) to avoid crazy roaming charges.
By the way, on the SIM 1, I would also like to have the data from Wind Italy in 4G, when staying in Italy, so I can get connected to 4G network in Italy and UK and Ireland.
How can I fix? Anyone out there who can help or point me in the right directon?

Are you sure this is the case? As far as a I knew the Honor 7 EU can run one SIM on 3G/4G and the other on 2G only when both SIM's are in the phone at the same time. It's the Chinese version which allows 3G/4g on both SIM's at once (and has 64GB internal storage). I could be wrong but I'm sure someone else can clarify.

never had two sim in my eu honor, but only one sim can do 4g, and the other i think it is 3g and not 2g
correct me i am wrong
Any updates on this? Can any phone actually run 3G/4G or at least 3G/3G at the same time? (or full autoswitch on call to 3G?)
I'm interested in the voice part only, for both cards to be 3G, without having to manually switch. 4G/3G would be a bonus

how tell you Chinese version allows 3G/4g on both SIM's at once ( I have 64GB internal storage ) this not correct. the chinese version the same EU version not diffecult .
I have this problem. SIM1 connected 4G, SIM2 can only use 2G. Phone was bought in Beijing. Settings allow you to make either one of them but not both triband.
Second SIM is not connecting properly unless i switch the setting to allow SIM2 slot to be triband enabled. Then i get on, but the SIM1 becomes useless for data.

According to the official site it's DualStandby.
"Go anywhere and be connected. Your OnePlus X is unlocked and capable of using dual standby SIM cards with 4G speeds right out of the box. You have the freedom to use it all over the globe, no questions asked." https://oneplus.net/in/x

Yes, I'm using two simcards. :good:
Also check with your service provider before you buy! I just got OPX and put in my korean and my austrian sim card....and well, surprise! The 3G network here in Korea (and apparently in Japan) does not allow 2 active sim cards in one phone. I'm screwed...
Jep, its working.

I asked and got this answer from UNDERkg on youtube: It's not the matter of allowing or not. Dual SIM phones only support one 3G/4G at a time at which the other SIM gets to only pick 2G signals up. Korean networks do not have compatible 2G networks and therefore the secondary SIM has no signal for itself.
I knew that korea had no 2G network but the OPX description says something like 'dual sim 4G standby' or that's what I understood. so I thought it would be working in korea...
There seems to be a bit of confusion here. I'm very curious to know if the Oneplus X is dual sim ACTIVE?
To be clear there are basically two types of dual SIM phones, active and standby. Standby means you can only use one SIM at a time, so you have to switch back and forth. Active means you can use both SIMs at the same time. In other words you can receive a call on either SIM without switching.
I need to know if the Oneplus X is active or standby.....thanks

Standby SIM | 2G Only?

The preferred SIM is able to pick anything from 2G to 4G, but that causes the standby SIM to have only 2G as a "Preferred Network Type" option.
Is this normal behavior? I made sure the documentation didn't limit the radios on the standby SIM before getting this phone because my one of my carrier does not support 2G, only GSM and LTE.
The SIM works great if I select it as the preferred SIM since it then goes on 3G, but goes back to "Emergency Only" when not preferred.
Is this a hardware limitation on the chipset? I know some other phones are like that (ZenFone 2 for example) but it clearly specifies that limitation on the box. I was expecting both sim cards to be on 3G.
That's dual sim dual stand by on 4g you mean? Forget about it is only marketing on this phone and much other. I have 2 sim from same provider and both 4g or 3g but only one work at same time another has no service same on my LeTv x600. ?

It seems there is much confusion about the DUAL SIM. Maybe I can help... If you insert 2 SIM Cards the following happens, you must choose which card SIM1 or SIM2 will be used for Data Services. Both slots support LTE but only one can be active at the time. Otherwise, both SIM Cards are indeed active (means they support calls and SMS) however the SIM that is not used for Data Service will be "only" shown as GSM (G) while the other will show LTE (4G) in the status bar. Since most providers use GSM for phone calls anyway (regardless of the data connection) your SIM should work both as active and second. Having said all the above, yes, the option for the standby SIM is only 2G - which is really GSM for that matter (or G in the status bar).
GGranello I am not agree with you. In my case provider is not over 2G service only 3G and 4G and have only 2100 band so one of two SIM is with NO SERVICE (of course I can choose The active SIM) but both doesn't work in same time. And for video calls 3G is needed am I wrong? I want to say that on GSM you can't make video calls.

Mr. Claude, my description was meant to explain the way the Phone seem to handle the dual SIM. If Your provider supports ONLY calls over 3G and 4G than you will be out of luck using that SIM as secondary. My (I agree limited) understanding is that GSM providers must support GSM calling in any case but that may be no longer the case. I have used the Phone with 2 SIM cards for quite some time now, one with LTE for Data and the other for Calls and SMS and I had no issues. I have not tried any Video Calls as the prices are quite high here, it is my understanding that you need a 3G (or better) connection for those. And even with Android 6, the P9000 does not seem to support VoLTE calling either.
Yes I am agree with you that this phone does not support VoLTE but neither two 4G or 3G SIM from same Network Provider working together or "DUAL STANDBY"
I have owned a number of dual SIM phones and all of them supported 2G/3G/(4G) on one SIM but only 2G on the other. Before the latest MTK SOCs, it was generally the case that SIM slot 1 would support 2G and 3G (and maybe 4G) and slot 2 only 2G. Now it is possible to swap the SIM functions via the settings menu, but one of the SIMs will still be restricted to 2G.
If your SIMs are both from a provider which doesn't support 2G, like Hutchison Three in the UK, then I'm afraid you will only be able to use one of them at a time. There may be dual SIM phones that support 2G/3G/4G on both SIMs at the same time, but I haven't come across one.
Yep me don't even knowing or heard about one phone that's working with both SIM cards on 4G in same time and actually have 3 phones in my hands all 4G and dual SIM and not work either with 2 SIM on 4G in same network.

Lg v10 h962 dual sim not standby

Hello my everybody, Happy July 4th to you all.
Please does any V10 H962 owner experience this same issue?
Please do you have an idea of what might be wrong with my phone. My dual sim is no long standby. Sim 1 usually get 4G LTE and Sim 2 Gets 3G and 2G voice. Now I can only use either Sim 1 or Sim 2 at once. When One sim on 4G LTE, the second sim will Not get signal/coverage until I switch back to other one. Pls what can I do? I have migrated from MM to Lollipop, still the same issue.
Please any help will appreciated.
In which country are you living?
Most of the mobile carriers are switching off 2g networks. So make sure they are not doing so in your country.
The Lg V10 dual sim puts one sim on 4g and the other on 2g, since the 2g Network is shut off the phone has not signal on the second sim card.
I think it's time to get a new phone that supports 4g on both sims or 4g/3g

Dual SIM card CM13 vs LOS14

Hi,
I've got a question about using 2 SIM cards.
With the Redmi Note 3 Pro (Kenzo) I have read it was possible to use 2 SIM card but one would be connected to 3G/LTE while the 2nd card would only be connected to 2G. It's not possible to connect both of them on 3G/LTE at the same time. That's exactly what I experienced in the past and I was fine with it.
Right now in my phone I have 2 SIM cards :
SIM1 : Bell Canada (Voice + Data LTE) provided by work. Bell shut down their 2G network a while ago.
SIM2 : Fido (Data LTE only) for personnal use. Fido, owned by Rogers, still has Edge / 2G network.
When I was still on CM13, if I selected my Fido SIM card for my the data connection, I would instantly loose the signal on the Bell SIM card because Bell has no 2G network anymore. It was fine for me that way, it meant I wouldn't receive work related call while I'm not at work (we have a dedicated after hours service and I'm not part of it...) If I selected my Bell SIM card for data, my Fido SIM card would stay connected because Fido/Rogers still have a 2G network.
Today I installed Lineage OS 14.1. Something unexpected happens, if I enable my Fido SIM card, I can see the LTE icon for the Fido SIM but I also keep the connection to the Bell network.
Was the fact that both SIM card couldn't connect to 3G/LTE at the same time a limitation that was lifted in Lineage OS 14.1 ?
Thanks
