hi all,
i have redmi note 3 32gb snapdragon, i made an OTA update last week miui 8.1.6.0 and later wifi started acting wierd, when wifi is switched on phone restarts. Then the wifi is not at all switching on wifi mac address is 02:00:00:00:00 and bluetooth is not working.
Anyhow phone is working great IMEI are intact getting good signal.
Things i tried
1. Tried factory reset didnt solve wifi issues.
2. flashed custom rom still no success.
3. flashed chain rom no success.
Kindly help me solve this, Other threads and guide mention restoring IMEI and efs partition but can anybody make a guide just how to repair only mac address and Bluetooth. It will be a great help.

tried that no use, issue remains same
same here, i've tried many custom roms (cm13/14, RR M/N, Lineage, oxigen), stock rom (miui), go back n fort from stock to custom roms, i've use many phone but none of them having wifi issue like redmi note 3, i'm really really really tired with this phone, until now i haven't found any solution for this issue and i'm tired searching for the solution, one thing that i can say is i will never ever buy xiaomi phone again.

I have never faced such issue..plz contact any professional for help.
This isn't xiaomi's fault..you must have done something wrong and you don't know it.

It is Xiaomi's fault. I did the OTA update few days ago and my WiFi toggle now does not work.
I am now on latest MIUI 8.5.3.0 and its exactly the same issue after the update.
The ROM is buggy and WiFI hard coded values get lost possibly when some condition goes true.
I have reset it 3 times but no resolve and now since BAR4 has confirmed he's tried custom ROMs as well and nothing has worked - I am not rooting it or using custom ROMs.
And please know that obviously every Redmi Note 3 in the world will not face the same issue at the same time.
I have raised it with Xiaomi. Hope they can provide a resolve.

The same thing happened to me, and now I can not turn on wifi anymore, while bluetooth is enabled but does not work the same.
I have never made any changes to the phone, only the automatic updates.
Any solution?!

I've brick my kenzo before, my problem a bit different, my device cant use compass anymore, flash global or beta cant solve the problem. When i look at the the file "flash all.sh" not all the image file in the "images" folder are flash with Mi flash tool. So i flash the image file via fastboot. One of them name "persist", this one was the culprit for the compass to not working, now my kenzo work as new. To flash via fastboot mod, your device must be unlock and goodluck...

Did u try Flashing latest fastboot rom using pc? Use Clean all and flash option. If that doesnt solve then go to service center.

faced this recently while updating to MIUI 9.5.3 .. tried factory reset .. flushing ROM .. nothing helped .. wifi mac address is gone ..
noted one thing .. i took it to mi service center .. they tried flushing ROM with older version .. it didnt fix .. i asked thm to update the latest ROM 9.5.3 or else i'll have to update to that using my mobile data.. this time they opened the back panel while flushing ROM and the problem was fixed .. got a proper wifi mac address ... bluetooth was also detecting other devices .. but as soon as i removed the sim tray and inserted my sim wifi stopped working again .. upon chking found that wifi mac address again lost ... i guess its something to do with the sim tray or the back panel ...
tried calling mi customer care but those guys on phone are noobs .. he told me to contact wifi provider to get mac address ... i couldnt speak anything else...

visited service center as well .. they too dont knw the fix .. they asked me to replace motherboard ...

UPDATE on Redmi's Note 3 wifi Mac address error,
Boot on TWRP, Factory Reset, then flash any ROM according to it's creator.
In my case I flashed the Greek Aroma ROM & device sensors ce back to life

I have pretty messy problem with X10, which i have to repair.
The problem is - when i want to turn my wifi on, after about 20 seconds of waiting phone shows "Error", that's just with my bluetooth - same.
Phone had 2.3.3 official android on it. I tried to make a factory reset, but nothing. Then i unlocked bootloader, flashed tons of ROMs and kernels and no progress. Some roms (or kernels) got me to next progress, i was able to turn wifi on, but it won't show me any of wifi networks available.
ONLY i get progress, when i installed MIUI ROM, i was able to see my wifi network, BUT that rom was real mess. It hot rebooted all the time after 10 sec. after boot up. Is there real possibilities to solve this problem? I have tried about 3 days to get it work, but nothing...
p.s i havent tried to install any of older firmwares (like 1.6; 2.1 or smth)

Did you repair with SEUS or PC Companion ?? If not, that's the first step :good:
As Madmike above says if you have big problem's use SEUS.
You can try drag and dropping a FTF file like this for eg. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212260 into flashtool.
Follow instruction's from op.
Download V.4 And check no final verifacation in flash-tool.
Need latest version of flashtool's. For drag n drop.
Hope it help's.

I have flashed this ROM too, but this rom is not solution.

If WIFI does not work after SEUS repair, I'm quite sure it is hardware related. Too bad ... you could try open the phone and reassign all the connectors on the pcb, worked for me once when speaker was broken, but thats just last hope or alternative...

After repairing with SEUS, it installed stock 2.3.3, but wifi/bluetooth still doesn't work.
hmm, i dont think it's hardware, bcoz on MIUI rom wifi worked, but i dont use it becouse it was unstable as sh*t. Hot reboots all the time.

Same here. We need a solution. This problem isn't a hardware, but software. How about drivers and all that? Is it possible to reinstall drivers?

So, i just installed MM TEAM MIUI stock rom, which came with kCernel kernel. Also, there was wifi modules. So i tried to install it without wifi module at the begginning. So - again wifi error. BUT, when i installed wifi module, now i can turn wifi on, BUT.. it doesn't show me any wifi network + the device restarts all the time for about 5 sec. after boot.
Any ideas for fixing WiFi?

Yesterday I've flashed Hive UI rom for micromax canvas nitro a311. I was facing volume button problem plus priximity sensor problem so after that I've flashed this patch : http://forum.xda-developers.com/a31...-4-4-2-clean-nice-ui-buggless-t3046683/page12
Now volume button problem and proximity problem fixed but either of the sim card is not detected. Whenever I open up dialer and dial any no. , it says Please Turn Off Airplane Mode. Obviously airplane mode is turned off and I can access wifi and bluetooth.
In settings "Sim Management" isn't opening.
Please help me out how to fix this issue.
Edit : I forgot to mention that I accidentally flashed the TWRP recovery for different device from here : forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2691886. Is it the real cause of my problem?
Yes the same thing happened me last week, i tried to install different version of twrp in my A311 and sim got deactivated and showed the message 'Sim card not detected'. I lost the IMEI and tried with mobileuncle tools and lot of other methods to recover the IMEI. But no method succeeded to get back the IMEI. After that I downloaded the stock ROM and flashed with YGPD tool. I didn't find any other method to recover the IMEI. You can also do the same thing, download the stock ROM from http://www.needrom.com/category/micromax/a311/ and flash it. Take a backup of apps + data with titanium backup and simply restore it after flashing.
Guys please help. Im having the same problem.
Nothing i've tried has worked. I dont know what to do with this phone now.

sim card not detected
Same problem for me I wrongly used other phone twrp . even I flashed stock from using ygpd tools and tried the base band patch also ... Nothing works ... My a310 detects the sim as airtel or idea but no signal there ...every thing works fine except signal... Base band patch didn't helped... Please help me .. My phone is useless now

Use mtk Droid tools nd re write the imei's.
Tried mtk tools already no problem with imei phones shows imei number... It detects each and every sim card but showing no signal.... But if I use bsnl sim card it shows signal and I can make a call but no second sim working... And if put two bsnl sim cards none of them is working... Please help

did you connect to internet while setting up ROM?
did you remove any system related app?
just reboot while doing setup and got this one
Yep, simple reboot (it's not always working) or wipe dalvik and cache. If it's not working install again the rom, sometimes do this, so don't worry.

Damn man, you share the same issue with me, I always wanna get back to miui but this this is annoying, even I can pass this by rebooting the phone but the settings will always force close, it said "settings has stopped working" or something like that, hence I cannot open the settings (always force close right after opening). So, maybe I don't belong to this ROM again and stick to custom ROM.

Hey, got this same issue. Resolved it by restarting the phone swapping out SIM cards or Wi-Fi whichever is connected.

Clean flash rom and remove sim cards and keep wifi disabled when booting.
Effectively no internet and should be good to go

May i know why no official unlock. With official unlock it is much easier to do modification than the unofficially unlock.

I have asked for unlocking permission but till now I haven't got any replies from xiaomi, so in my mind instead of waiting for a long long time why don't I go just unlock it unofficially, and I unlocked it that way.
And what do u mean by it is easier to do modification by unlock it officially than unofficial one?

I browsed androidfilehost.com and found the fix for your issue but sorry as I won't provide the link that's non ethical. Just in case you want to, just google "androidfilehost kenzo" . you will find the file probably after going thru like more than two pages. Good luck

Wait, what twrp do u use? Also when I wanna unlock my bootloader officially, what ROM do u recommend me to be, cos some ppl face stuck at 50 percent while unlocking.

I unlocked with latest global developer ROM which has
OEM unlock bind with device id option in developers options .
I use official twrp + universal boot image patcher + lazy flasher all times.

Which cm 14 firmware did u use? And also at that time what recovery did u had?

My kenzo was officially unlocked. But i'm still getting this error and reboot didn't help me.
isn't there any other way to bypass this setup? Anyone got any solution?
Even xiaomieu forum have no solution for this issue.
just don't connect to internet(wifi or cellular data) during first setup and you're good to go. add the accounts(google/mi) later from settings.

That the problem with China company phone. Very slow to adopt new technology in their department. While all around the world using automated system to granted the unlock bootloader. The Xiaomi is still using "human" to grant the unlocker bootloader code
Xiaomi human staff grant unlock code might suddenly can do mistake and they cant process million of application while on the other hand the computerized system can grant applications very fast than human process.

Therefore I am lazy to wait the unlocked code comes to me, so I unlocked my device unofficially. Maybe I don't need to go back to MiUI again. ?

Unable to skip, any solution ? WiFi , volte working good.
Same happened to me couple of times. Going back and trying again finally worked.

Try with sim disabled and no wifi connected...basically no internet.

I try another method as flash cm14 firmware and miui 6.0 recovery ROM etc booted able to skip sign in and no settings fc., thank you.

My UleFone Power 5 stucks till 3 days at the bootlogo. After Wake-Up i just can see "ulefone".
I can reboot, reboot in recovery and so on. But can't boot the System.
I tried to flash it with SP FLash Tool and the 2 ROMS from needrom.com but same problem.
I tried to flash another ROM from a similar phone (at Example Dogee S70 or UleFone Power 3, same processor, same RAM, same internal Storage and so on) but, when it bootet, same problem.
I tried to wipe it, i tried factory resets, updates via SP Flash tool, another Flash tool.. and now, i am out of ideas
Maybe hardware problems? buuuut i dont know..
My father has the same phone, but he doesnt want an OEM Unlock or Root or something like that, so i cant copy his firmware (i think)
Need help... anyone ideas?

i have an ulefone power 5 , once i was trying to flash a custom ROM , so it bricked and was not working.
i tried several ROMs on web , which were titled as "Official Rom".
all of those ROMs were not flashing eg (Grizmo Needrom.com).
so i tried to contact Ulefone Support and they helped me within few days after providing proof of purchase, so they sent me this link and i flashed my phone successfully.
- Download the Rom and the SP flash tool which is provided in the link.
- follow the instructions on the video provided in the link.
- do not forget to install proper drivers for MTK phones.

so.. i flashed the Rom but the Phone doesnt start at all..
it stucked at bootloop and has reboot 3 times. Dont knnow why, but it seems hopeless.

I have a somewhat new Ulefone Power 5 phone that I had bought only a few weeks ago, though old, it is new to me. I had got around to rooting the thing, TWRP as well. IF anyone is interested in how to fix theirs (Only Ulefone Power 5) then I will show you how, step by step, with all the software tools that you will need.
