Do they release code for every minor update? I thought that they only released for major versions.

Well most of the updated soc on that page is on 7.1.1 and it's weird ours is not

what is caf

anyway it is good for a stable nougat build!!!!!!!!!!

Kudos to the users who are still using the device. Hope the company makes more effort and brings Nougat to this device (fingers-crossed).
Good luck updating!
Bhardwaj Saab... We already have Oreo for our device even if it is unofficial but it is way more smooth than OOS and is a daily driver.

Of course, you do buddy. Even the last ROM I had installed on the OP2 was Nougat-based. Just wanted to share the information. :good:

I am running LineageOS 15 Beta 4 and it runs quite smooth thus far, occasional bluetooth hiccup but no random reboots or anything.

Honestly I'm done with all this flashing business for now. I've tried countless custom ROMs for multiple devices and none of them ever live up to the expectations. Imho it's best to use anstock ROM with debloat and a cutom kernel on a device love OP2 just for KCAl control. I'm good for now on 3.6.1 performance is amazing. Battery life even better. ?

8.1 roms

Will our X get also 8.1 builds?
Of course.
It's on the way for Michi's AOSP 8.
He just tells us it wil be "soon".
Just waiting for Google to release sources for 8.1 .
guys
is the AOSP 8.0 current version stable for daily usage ?
and when 8.1 released i'll be forced to reinstall the whole rom or i'll just get it as an update ?

Yes stable but for me GPS in WAZE doesn't work. (Maps is OK).
OK google is broken, but it's due to Google. FB app sometimes crashes on Oreo.

Need Stable Updated ROM [MM/N]

Does anyone have nougat and marshmallow ROM that is recently updated or is rock solid stable
Need to test some old mods and SOT differences.
May be dual boot compatible.
Don't want to backup current stuff
I don't find Oreo roms very reliable, but Nougat roms are pretty good.
This is my favourite: ViperOS
Resurrection Remix 5.8.5, Android 7.1.2. Been using this build since 8 months. More stable than a horse's house. See what I did there ?
Global beta 8.7.26
http://bigota.d.miui.com/8.7.26/miui_HMNote3ProGlobal_8.7.26_c3f457ccde_6.0.zip
Try mokee, they build everyday but I prefer to choose release than nightly.

LineageOS 13. It's stable, updated on a monthly basis to include the latest security patches, the dev is always ready to help and implement useful features. Highly recommended.

Hi, I just migrated to ViperOS N. Which build will you suggest?
Viper-kenzo-20180711-Coral-v3.1.1-amog787_neonbilli-kernel.zip the most stable one?
Use lineage os 7.1.2 customized by umang it's really gud rom even I'm using it in my 2gb Variant and it provides good amount of performance and battery too !!

I already gave a quick look into that ROM and latest version seems to be buggy, judging by the comments. Previous version is stable but missing camera improvements.
I'll still give it a shot.
Is there a specific reason that camera improvement is added/removed like that? LineageOS doesn't seem to be the only one with that issue...
check out los with microg builds under General section. last build was august.

what's the most stable oreo & pie rom for i9300?

Version 8 is Beta.
Version 9 is Alpha..
Both versions with SELINUX permissive. They are too dangerous.

It is a matter of perspective. You have the latest update that was lineage-14.1-20190217-nightly-i9300-signed.zip. The LineageOS 14.1 Source Code continues to be updated but does not make new compilations of the code. There you have to resort to the official forum where the community performs this compilation (lineage-14.1-20190615-UNOFFICIAL-i9300.zip) or the experimental (lineage-14.1-20190709-experimental-i9300 .zip) every time there is a security update (Security String)

The security status is not as good as it looks like. There have been no kernel patches applied for more than a year now. And the proprietary parts are really old.
