Version 8 is Beta.
Version 9 is Alpha..
Both versions with SELINUX permissive. They are too dangerous.

It is a matter of perspective. You have the latest update that was lineage-14.1-20190217-nightly-i9300-signed.zip. The LineageOS 14.1 Source Code continues to be updated but does not make new compilations of the code. There you have to resort to the official forum where the community performs this compilation (lineage-14.1-20190615-UNOFFICIAL-i9300.zip) or the experimental (lineage-14.1-20190709-experimental-i9300 .zip) every time there is a security update (Security String)

The security status is not as good as it looks like. There have been no kernel patches applied for more than a year now. And the proprietary parts are really old.

[ROM][7.1][UBER][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 14.1 [16.12.2016]

This is CyanogenMod, recompiled from Seraph08 sources with (also selfcompiled) Uber Toolchain 4.9. If there are Bugs, they should be identical to Seraph08 version. If there are additional Bugs only to be found in this ROM, please let me know.
One thing though: I'm not a developer. I just recompiled the ROM. So if someone finds a bug and has an idea how to fix it, please tell me.

For updates, dirty flash (if you are coming from a previous version of exactly this ROM) should be fine, but format system and cache before you flash. First boot will take 5-10 minutes, depending on how many apps you have installed (more apps = longer first boot).
If there is no changelog for a new build, have a look at https://www.cmxlog.com/14.1/oneplus2/ and https://github.com/Seraph08/device_oneplus_oneplus2/commits/cm-14.1.
12.12.2016:
- alert slider is fixed (was broken in build of 6th December)
- updated to Android 7.1.1
05.12.2016:
- SELinux back to permissive
01.12.2016:
- SELinux is enforcing now (V4A users beware)
- Latest version of SuperSU won't break sensors anymore

Have a look at Seraphs thread, but SELinux is permissive again (he explains there why). If you want a full changelog of CM, look at https://www.cmxlog.com/14.1/.
Sorry to all but I had to take down the latest build, the alert slider isn't working there. As soon as it's fixed, I'll recompile and reupload. Thanks @KarlDieter for finding this!

I'll remove the reference to "Source Code" then.
Unless it was released by Samsung as is, you can't call a reworked ROM "Official", so let's leave that as edited. Thanks.
Good luck with the Project!

LineageOS is made by volunteer maintainers & developers & nobody including them can predict how long it will take to fix bugs & technical difficulties of making a modern Oreo firmware for a 2012 S3 phone made to support Samsung's Android 4.0.4 and with the last Samsung officially supported 4.3.
Check LineageOS Oreo Device Support Requirements "This document enumerates the requirements that must be met in order for devices to be deemed ship ready for LineageOS releases, beginning with Android Oreo" to get an idea of how big that task is.

I don't see the new build. Still shows Oct. 11th upload date. And all mirrors show the 20181010 build?
I prob won't flash it since I don't use NFC. And EVERYTHING is working perfectly!

About Lineage OS

Why Lineage os still in android nougat for Kenzo ???
There are unofficial builds greater than N. As far as official builds go, they require volunteers to develop and maintain them. There will also be no new builds as of yesterday as support for Kenzo/Kate ended.
