ADB not detecting VZW G6? - Verizon LG G6 Questions & Answers

I want to change DPI and force immersize mode on the G6, but no matter what I do, ADB can't seem to detect my G6. I've run through every normal troubleshoot process including uninstalling drivers and installing lg pc suite and letting the drivers reinstall, but still nothing. I'm super confused now... maybe android terminal emulator is my next try?....

Install LG drivers, I couldn't ADB either until I downloaded the drivers from LG's website.
I'm still trying to change dpi and still no success, if you got it please share ?

Need help getting Adb to work with jt's vgb v3 and win7

I'm no noob by any means, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get ADB to recognize my SF. I had no problems doing so with winxp, but I've been shooting blanks with win7. I've tried the fascinate drivers, and I've tried the nexus drivers, both to no avail. I have a device called fascinate in my device manager, but when I try to update the driver to the samsung drivers it doesn't work. I really need help to do this so that I can reboot into recovery to fix my unresponsive touch screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, in case you were wondering, I have tried multiple data cables, multiple usb ports, and have used uninstall software to completely uninstall the drivers to try and reinstall them. All have gotten me nowhere.

How did you install the Nexus S drivers? I'm using Win7x64 and ADB can see my SF running VGB/CM7. I installed the drivers through the Android SDK..
If you don't want to install the SDK, just get the .zip version and unzip, then find the drivers at /android-sdk/extras/google/usb_driver
Use it to install under Device Manager..
Good luck!

LGE Drivers

Anyone have a solution for the ever recurring FOUND NEW HARDWARE?
I'm using windows vista.
already installed drivers for lgp500 but every time i connect the device via usb. my pc wont recognize it. and wont even automatically find the drivers even though i already install all the drivers needed.
Any workarounds?
* I want to change my base band but lgeblahblah wont seem to detect it.
help pls. i want to change my baseband but my pc wont recognize my phone
i had to re-install the lg drivers twice before it started working
one time my sdcard went bad
i assume you have usb debugging turned ON and are hitting "usb connect" when the drivers have updated the phone.
I went with Andy's phoenix rom, he coded in his rom modifications to fix that. Of course Bluetooth still is not working however I use earphones with mic integrated.

if problem is still alive ...
Don't know if you've tried this, but if not:
1.) get LG PC Suite IV for P500, and install it.
2.) connect your phone to PC, and wait
3.) if LGE Modem installed, go to Device Manager, and set it to tilted or disabled.
( sorry, i'm hungarian, and using hungarian windows too, don't know how this option called on english or other language )
After that, if no other drivers was installed for your phone, should be detected, and installed now. Anyway when you update or downgrade firmware using kdz method, flashing will not start until you disable lge modem in device manager, and you will get only errors, so maybe it will help with installing drivers too. Method tried with GW620, GT540 (my last two phones) and P500 too.
I had issues with these drivers the first time I tried using them. I suggest going to LG Mobile Support, getting their software program, it will ask for your phone model and download all the necessary drivers. Don't have your phone connected, it tends to want to upgrade to the LG's latest ROM.

[Q] L9 connecting to PC

I have a LG Optimus L9 P769 (T-Mobile). It came with ICS 4.0.4, but did the OTA to get it updated to V20F JB. Shortly after, I found the LGPwn.apk and used that to root. I used Titanium Backup to remove bloatware. I have yet to go any farther with modding.
Ok, before rooting, I connected my phone to my Dell with Windows 7, installed the drivers for all 4 modes available in my phone. I installed LG drivers and PC Suite for the PC. Connection worked perfectly.
As I continued to learn, I installed ADB on my PC. This is when I noticed that my PC no longer recognizes my phone. LG PC Suite can't see it, nor can ADB. My assumption was that it was due to root. So in an attempt to remedy, I used Titanium Backup to put everything back in place that I had removed from the phone. Then went into SuperSu and did full unroot. Rebooted the phone, rebooted the PC. No change.
I uninstalled all LG drivers and LG PC Suite and then reinstalled again. Rebooted phone and PC again. Tried 4 different USB cables. All to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions that I could try to get this PC to see my phone again? No rush and not a big deal. I can always re-root...but without ADB, I don't see much hope for much more than that.
(I did search the forums, and to my dismay, didn't find a solution that seemed to help. Doesn't mean there isn't one or I didn't overlook one. Thanks in advance.)
(Also, I have tried this with USB Debugging on and off.)
I managed to get my android back (thanks T3HGOOGL3G33K). I haven't tried to connect to my PC yet. I will update once again when I have had time to test it.
Ok...so I had to do all the work on my PC, save it to my SD card, and then flash using CWM by Artas182x. I uninstalled and reinstalled all LG drivers again and rebooted my PC. Now, the PC is seeing the device, but saying it can't install the drivers for such as MTP, Charge only, Camera, and LG Software. ADB isn't seeing it either when I use "adb\sdk\platform-tools\adb devices". IDK!
I recommended trying another USB port or check the connection. It sounds like the cable isn't connecting to your phone properly.

Thanks @Kuma. I'll try a different port and see if that helps. My goal is just to familiarize myself with adb. (Windows now sees the phone, just doesn't install the drivers. That's why adb can't see it I am assuming.)

@Kuma...I don't know what I did different, but I tried a different cable in a different USB port and to my surprise all drivers loaded right away. Thanks again. I swear I have done this. Maybe I just had to stand on one foot...lol.

[Q] Having troubles with ADB on LG Optimus F3

I cannot seem to get this device to be detected on adb, it's my first time working with anything above 2.3.6. so I'm trying to use Motochopper to root the darn thing. I installed the LGE Drivers, I have ADB already installed and ready to go, but for whatever reason it will not detect my device. I booted into Ubuntu to see if it would detect it there, and it did, but the root script I used didn't seem to do the trick, it installed superuser but no SU binary. Any help would be appreciated.

LG Optimus L9 stuck at factory reset

Hi all
Recently, my optimus L9 (the P760), has started to get popups saying ''the process com.android.phone has stopped."
This started when I turned on my phone and suddenly I got pop-ups of multiple apps and processes being stopped.
Then the phone was suddenly off, without having given any kind of warning that it was going to turn off..
Then I restarted it, it got stuck on the LG logo for a while (didn't count, was about 1-5 mins) and then it said 'Encrypting' (under which I can see something I presume is a loading bar, but it's not loading) And under Encrypting, it has a button which says 'Reset phone', which won't work. I've tried it several times, restarted the phone (which also took 1-5 mins) several times, and have looked for solved threads about this on xda, as well as other forums..
There have been several threads like this, but none seems to be solved. That is the reason why I open this new thread.
My pc won't recognize the lg when I try connecting it either.. Nothing seems to be able to fix this, but my warranty has passed due to it being older than 2 years..
I really hope you guys can help me, thanks a lot!
Patrick
The final production run of L9s featured an encrypted bootloader, phones manufactured in 2013, if bought until early '13 this cannot be the case.
Anyway this means the phone is bricked, if you did not activate Android' s encryption feature.
The LG recovery tool should ve able to fix it in download mode. There are driver problems under Windows 8&10, but download mode should work and is also the final option before sending it in or dumping it.
For download mode switch phone off, then press Vol- while plugging the phone in and wait until it switches on by itself. Activating download mode after an off-on-off sequence seems to help when even download mode doesn't work as supposed. Seems to do the same as taking out the battery in between tries.
This was the last issue I had before my p760 got trashed by this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748384 I wish you luck though.
There's various driver issues in the various connection modes the phone can assume.
First there's more trouble with Windows newer than Seven. This affects Fastboot and generally the recognition under Windows. And with a custom rom the LG drivers may not recognize the phone, thus all LG tools will fail too.
Best support is gained with two sets of drivers installed: LG usb drivers and Google SDK usb drivers.
With Artas' CM11, the Google drivers provided support for non-LG tools and ADB commands. The LG drivers only recognized the phone in Download mode and were necessary for unbricking it, as all tools for flashing KDZ files are based on LG's own tool, which needs the LG drivers.
The driver installation is less difficult on Win10 compared to 8.1, run the setup to install both ones.
On Win8.1 you may have to manually assign the Google drivers after their installation in device manager, they' re either found in the Android Phone category or the ADB interfaces one, while the LG ones sit invisible(!) in the other category(phone not recognized, remember?), but the phone recognition will be triggered by attaching it in download mode, and a virtual COM port will be installed.
Hopefully this was confusing, weird and silly enough, but if you manage to get it right, unbricking the phone is still quite possible.
