Thank to rrvuhpg's awesome root and recovery that allow us to install custom roms on Xperia XA. Hence, i have made a MM ROM which is fully deodexed and ultra slim, hope you will enjoy.
Based on F3115_Customized AU_1302-4361_33.2.A.4.70_R4A, and for F3115 devices only.
You have to unlock your bootloader and flash this rom.
Features:

Installation:
1. Unlock bootloader and flash boot and recovery by following rrvuhpg's post.
2. Boot into recovery mode

4. Flash other packages (e.g.: supersu, drm, xposed) if you want

Further Step (Optional):
Because the rom occupies around 1.1 GB in system partition, you can shrink your system partition (to 1.5GB or 2GB, for example) and expand your userdata partition. I did it and i am sure you can heve a try. Here is the tutorial i followed.

since i flash that two .img , the twrp recovery is working fine . i think the boot.img is the problem . i downloaded the exact file for f3115 . i have access now to twrp , can i flash this rom tru twrp to fix this problem ?

Use Linux... You need to put it into fastboot by holding up and power until it vibrates. The screen will then turn white, plug it into your computer (possibly do this first) and type "fastboot devices" to check if it's connected. Then, after you've been on Sony's website to find your unlock code, they'll give you further instructions. "fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock [unlock code]" The -i is their vendor code. What's the issue?

I am using an AU device and I can confirm it 100% works. If you are a using an single sim device, i think it should be fine, otherwise pls try to reflash the kernel (only kernel, and you have to download a rom first) with the flashboot, and then flash a right cracked boot.img.
And for dual sim devices, try to reflash kernel with flashboot and then flash the cracked boot.img for dual sim devices.

Wonderful ROM! I installed it on my Sony Xperia XA F3111 without any problems. I have root,greenify,xposed and a good lite rom ofc having fun. The battery usage is very good! I use either Viper4Android for sound and it's amazing. New "system UI" updates will be perfect if you continue! Just a big thanks from Me!!
Edit: Flashlight doesn't work when I open it from system UI, From camera is working fine! Cheers!!

I can't say it is better because you have to try it and and give report but my rom is NOT a stock ROM it is totally based on CM7 ROM by FXP team: they've build their own sources (lib files; camera; network; optimisation;...) so it is tottaly different to a stock ROM because it is not the same base!!!

fm radio, hdmi, camera, no flash, but when that's fixed it will be very good rom i think...

this is modded ROM with some files from stock (for example lib files for camera is stock atm) so camera work flash too hdmi(didn't try) and fm radio (didn't try) too
and I have NO bug and boot time is really really fast try it with doomkernel!

if you have bootloader unlocked yes you just have to follow my instructions
I follow installation guide from you but after installation only get black screen and bootloop. My NEO phone is rooted with unlocked bootloader previously running SE Tweak rom v.04. Which kernel to use to get it work DoomKernel or freeXperia

The installation of this kernel won't make you lose any data
> You can also use the kernel in the firmware .145 (and only in this firmware) using the boot.img. However, it is less stable than having the latest firmware. I suggest you first set up.
1] Preparing Files
- Unzip the previously downloaded fastboot-USBdrivers.zip
- You will now have a folder fastboot-USBdrivers.
- Now move the file boot.img (see prerequisites) to the root of your hard drive
2] Connect the equipment
- Connect your Xperia neo fastboot mode:
Turn-on
While holding down the Menu button, connect the camera to your computer. The LED turns blue
- Now install the driver (if you do not SDKs) by following this tutorial using the file-fastboot USBdrivers I propose above.
3] Flashing the kernel
- Open the fastboot-USBdrivers then hold the SHIFT key (shift) key, right click on the folder and select fastboot "open a command prompt here".
Users of Windows XP or Vista, for which the "open a command prompt here" may not s'affichier, please follow this tutorial to display the option or install the SDK normally then enter the command

I have 2.3.4. firmware Neo tweaked v0.4, I flashed doomkernel v 0.9, and in recovery set to instal your rom but after successful installation and boot screen "Dommkernel" is bootloop. So Im not doing it in wright way or what.

Instructions:
1: Boot into TWRP.
2: Make full wipes. (Leaving internal storage).
3: Flash the rom zip. Select your model. Wait till finished. Don't reboot into system.
4: Flash the kernel after rom installation is completed.
(You need to be at kitkat bootloader and also required baseband of kitkat model for sim to work. So make sure you have all these things
5: Flash supersufix then supersu to get root.
First boot takes some time, So wait at least 15 to 20 minutes for first time.

Pattern lock and Applock is not working
After one day, i can say that there is some bugs, but they are not that big, sometimes its freezing and sometimes its restarting whole system in random moments, also this is not that smooth like AOSP or miui v7 for lg g2, camera is working well, but in my opinion it's slow, movies on snap doesent work (recording, u can record but after this u will see static image). But, other things are good, i'll use it and wait for updates. Hope OTA is working (Sorry for my bad english, if u didnt understand me, i will try to explain it better just pm me)

If you have safetynet issues, follow the steps below
Extract the boot.img file from the rom, and placed the boot image into storage.
Open Magisk and use install to Patch Magisk to the boot.img.
Reboot to recovery, install the patched boot.img to boot
Flash addonsu-15.1-arm-signed.zip, and then reflash Magisk again, from storage then use advanced options to clear cache, and then reboot to system.

Yes, I tried it and the same thing happened to me, it must be a corrupt download because people are giving the release a 8.3/10. I found a slightly older but highly rated rogue pig version. ( see same link above)
I installed it successfully and must say, it's actually extremely good.
Corruption
The original newer file is probably just corrupted so I am going to try redownloading it. Until then, check out the other version that I placed in the same megadrive folder see the link above. Yes, it's a little older but its actually awesome!
I just attempted to find the newer rom by cold ruthless on the BBS website, has he been banned. I had a bookmark saved and when I click I get this message " Authors are banned or deleted automatically blocked" Not sure if its the same person or not, if this next download is corrupt. I would still recommend flyme_LEX720_rogue_6.8.3.17R-beta, I am testing it right now and like it alot.

It looks like what happened to me when going from an Oreo rom to Nougat, you have to format data not only wipe data. Format data, write "yes" and then install the rom. Always have a backup of your data before.
flyme is one of the best system , the official one is good but it's old , be sure to have eui firmware before flashing flyme .

No issue like this. Everything worked. It booted fine. You may have to use the recovery version from earlier in the month of Jan.

Ok, this is what I have found. Your original latest flyme seems to be working ok. Here is what I have done. Using RAR apk, I unzipped it, and it complained about one apk in mizu-apk folder, and I ended up removing that folder completely, and zipped the ROM again. It flashed without any issue, but I can't seem to get Data to turn-on. It turns on briefly during the boot, but it goes away. I think if I compare the build.prop from older version with newer version, I may be able to find the fix.

Extremely good, at the moment my phone has no OS at all..
I only glanced at battery life briefly yesterday with Gsam battery tool. Plus, I installed BlackScreen 5.3 r2 which worked fine, I would rather wait for a real answer. Otherwise it would just be a guess.
I made this custom ROM project based from Sony Xperia AOSP project. Despite Sony will never release a Pie update for Xperia XZs, Sony still provides some stuffs for building Pie ROMS. However, installing this ROM will never get any kind of benefits similar to its official ROM counterparts. This custom ROM was built with Windows Subsystem For Linux for its very first version. Later version will be built on actual Ubuntu OS later on.
Installing this custom required a device with an unlocked bootloader and here, you will need to perform these guides carefully before doing so. Please note that unlocking the device will voiding the warranty (well who cares? It's a 2-year-old device) and also its DRM key which used for HD content, camera image optimization, 4K recording, etc.

3. Go to Install and select opengapps zip from memory card or USB OTG and install.
4. Also install Magisk zip as well. You will use this to enable Google apps functionality on custom rom and also root functionalities as well.
5. Reboot the device.

- [BOTH ROM] Powering Off while charging will reboot the device but in abnormal state, launcher stops working.
- [BOTH ROM] Pixel Launcher from gapps stops working. Stick it to its default launcher and install other 3rd party launcher.

Not really as this ROM would only fit on G8231 model. You can try if you wish.
Attempted to build a second one on Xubuntu 18.04 and although no issues like stalling while compiling but turns out my device can't boot after that.
Surprisingly, developing custom rom on Windows Subsystem on Linux only requires 2-3GB of source code while developing it on Ubuntu could slapped it with 30GB of source code!

VolLTE support? Not tested because not available on my mobile carrier and this rom only suitable for single sim model. Installing this rom on dual sim model might bricking your device but if you want to try it out by becoming a fearless tester, go on.
I can't just blindly build a custom rom on a device which I don't have and then ended up having a bad reputation because people think I published a broken ROM. I had been made a second build of custom ROM on Xubuntu 18.04 and ended up producing a very broken ROM that can't boot at all, stuck at Sony logo for a very long time.
Okay...rebuilding it again inside WSL with some functions below:
export WITH_DEXPREOPT=false
export DISABLE_DEXPREOPT=true
Enabling these might help to overcome building process from stalling when it comes to dexpreopt the library file.
Also, I'm found the line like this : build/soong/scripts/toc.sh: fork: Invalid argument which happens when setting make -j8 and opening chrome browser in same time with 9-10 tabs, thus the compiler with crash. Turning off cpu-intensive activities including antivirus real-time scanner might help or perhaps just tune it lower at least 2-4 cores.
EDIT: Uh oh...HDD is now full!!! Gotta clear up some spaces and have to disable ccache...

Installed but not detected? You might need to enable the "Test mode" on Windows 10 if you're using it and perform special boot by disabling the driver digital signature enforcing. Then, reinstall the xperia driver.
ROM UPDATE: Added G8232 ROM variant...
Because I don't have a device of particular model, I need some ROM testers here to check whether the ROM is now able to boot or else.

Bug found on G8231 ROM - Restart happens when phone is shut down. This shouldn't happening when the process isn't stalled!...
Right now, you will need to press power button + volume up in a same time until you will feel 3x vibration and then release it.

I was able to resolve it, the drivers were installed on the wrong partition, I had to uninstall all of them so that I could install again.
And I was able to install the ROM, it was a great job

This zip has no fw file no downgrade required just flash it what version of fw you have...is it not fun!!

Its UI is pretty smooth, no laggy feel in animation and the battery is also decent. But it not have much change or mod for customization. Hope we will get more custom miui based rom like this.
