Clash of clans blurry in Tab S3. Game tuner isn't compatible with tab s3. - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Questions & Answers

I have a tab s2 and playing clash was a nightmare on that with random troop drops and other touch screen issues. Also, resolution was blurry but the game tuner app resolved it. I was hoping tab s3 would not have the same problem but it looks like resolution is still blurry and the bad news is the game tuner app is not even compatible with tab s3. No dice using Game tuner apk cause it needs game optimizing services. Anyone else playing clash on tab s3?

I have had the same issue on both tab s2 and s3 which really bugs me. After some digging ive found you have to download an app from samsung called GAME TUNER. In there you can set clash of clans and any other games to run at native resolution which means no more blurry! Strangely enough, on my galaxy note 5 i can find the game tuner app in galaxy app store but not on tab s3. I ended up googling game tuner apk, downloaded and installeded 3.xx.x version and that works just fine.

How did you get Game Tuner working on your Tab S3??
[I have Game Tuner v3.0.6 installed from Apitode]
I'm having the same issue as the OP, tuner won't work because it will not recognize the stock version of "Game Optimizing Services" which is installed on the TabS3. I can find it through [Dev Options / Running Apps] but I cannot find it or force it to open separately by using Activity Launcher.
One sort of work around I have found is using an app called "Parallel Space" which lets you run 2nd instances of apps through a server for those with multiple accounts. Once I add Clash of Clans and log into any of my Clash accounts the picture is crystal clear. No scaling issues through Parallel Space.

I am also running v3.0.6 and everything work just fine like on my note 5. I did turn off all battery saving settings tho.

Not sure how you were able to load game tuner on your tab S3. Did you not get the game optimizing services error?

I still can't get Game Tuner to run on my Tab S3. But I can see my game icons ghosted behind the splash screen that asks for 'game optimizing services'. If I could only figure out how to cancel that screen.
Seems Game Tuner is not optimized for the TabS3 yet. Which is what confuses us on why it works for you. How did you bypass the error?

I sideloaded the apk. App doesn't even show up on both app stores. Could you check if you have game optimizing services in the application manager?

Update:
I tried Game Tuner today and it was able to find an update for Optimizing Services in the Galaxy App Store. Updated and now Game Tuner works great. I bumped Clash up to 100% resolution and the game runs crystal clear as it should ??

Thanks for the update. I don't have my tablet with me currently but I will check once I get hold of it. Quick question: Do you have any issues with troop dropping on this tablet like the tab s2 8.0? On the S2, I would touch the screen to drop the troop but it would not drop and I had to press 2 or 3 times.

Sorry for the late reply, haven't been on here lately. I rarely have troop drop issues on my S3. Every once in awhile I'll have to tap a 2nd time, but nowhere near the issues I was having with my SGN 10.1 2014Ed tablet... that thing became almost unplayable with tap registration.
Only issue I have is doing a 2-3 finger drop, sometimes it will register as a screen zoom or pan. But that is just me not holding my hand still long enough for troops to start popping out then drag after. A screen protector could help with finger slip, but I use the tab for drawing too much and I don't know how a one would affect the Spen stroke... add drag etc.

Anyway able to get macro mode to work?

[Q] Google Videos App - Wifi Version

I have the wifi version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. I found an apk for the Google Videos app, as it is not yet available in the market for this tablet. This apk installs and runs "normally" on my HTC G2. The app will install on the Galaxy 10.1 but force quits whenever I try to run it. I read in another topic here that the LTE version of this tablet comes with the Google Videos app, so I am assuming it works there. Has anyone gotten the Google Videos app to work on the Wifi version of this tablet?
My guess is the model number is not setup in the Android Market. As you will notice we have the "Books" app and can see and search on books in the Android Market. Your Movies app is probably force closing because when it tries to load the initial screen, the Android market cant match the device model the tablet app sends. It sends this to retrieve content compatible with the app and device.

Gameloft Games

Hey guys, is there a way to make Gameloft games, like NOVA 2 and Asphalt 6 work on GS2? I'm just first turned on my new phone, entered the market thinking that I would play high end games I couldn't in my Xperia x10, and I discover that Gameloft games aren't there
You can try using Stock Build.prop to maximise market content.. If there's still stuff missing Market Enabler (free in app store) will let you change country/carrier. If it's Tegra2 games you're after Chainfire3d can duplicate that.

But will this allow me to get games? Does it bypass the market restriction? I ask this because I'm not in favor of pirating games...
Can you teach me how to do those things?
Download Chainfire3d from the market, the search for Nvidia drivers for Chainfire on google, copy them to your phone. install, select the Tegra driver (easy enough to find instructions on Google), then search nova 2 on marketplace, if it allows you to buy and install then you're all good.
Asphalt 6 and nova2 work without the need for chainfire.. you just need to dl them from gamelofts own store.. just google gameloft and you should find them.

Use samsung games hub or gamesloft websight as said above.
Can't it be the market version? You know, I love the easy updates, etc...
I got nova 2 hd from the market, no problems. I am in the uk though, so you may have to use market enabler if it's not showing up.

don't worry about the updates. all gameloft hd games have builtin in-app update functions and regularly check for newer versions.
Issues I have with Gameloft games is.
this is the biggest, load times especially if you pause them and go to homescreen to check a text message or something, then immediately hold down the middle button to return to the game, they take forever to start up again, upto a minute, why on earth is this, on my old Iphone they would resume instantly. This phone is miles better spec inst it?
Also hardly any of them use the gyroscope and when they do its just not smooth enough compared yet again to a year old clunky fruity machine
just don't understand why
Yes, with the demo version I got, NOVA 2 takes a very long time to load...
Trying to set up the Chainfire3d thing to download the games through the market. I preffer it that way... having all apps on one place feels better.
---------- Post added at 03:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:00 AM ----------
Even after I put the market to the UK Version, installed Chainfire 3D and enabled nVidia Plugin I can't find the app on my phone and neither am I allowed to buy it from the desktops's browser ¬¬
But isn't it just a demo?

Asphalt 6 is free via the "Samsung Apps" on your phone. I had tried versions via the market and they stuttered. The one via the Samsung Apps is not only free (always liked that price) but more importantly runs sweetly.

There is no where on it that says it is a demo.
To be honest, I am not very good at this type of game and got it for my son to play with. I downloaded it to compare it to the market version.

[Q] gameloft games keep crashing after i rooted my wifi only 10.1 tab

I rooted my Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and now all my Gameloft games that I purchased when they had their 99 cent deal force close about 3 to 5 seconds after opening the app up. It seems to be when it checks for the game license. This even happens with their free games as well. Any ideas?

I had the same problem with HC 3.1 and su v3.x
Perhaps you have to downgrade su binary to 2.x or upgrade rom to 3.2

Chainfire 3D games. (cm7 only)

Ok, So as many people have noticed, it's possible to install chainfire if you are running cm7. (Stock nook rom bootloops when you try to install, so if you don't know what "cm7" is, or "stock nook rom" don't even think about installing chainfire 3d unless you are a masochist.)
This thread is dedicated to what games you have been able to run on the NT with chainfire installed, and a quick mention of what settings you used to get it to work.
I've so far only downloaded and installed TegraZone, and got it to forward me to the market download pages. (not yet had the time to download anything) Though I am looking forward to playing around with it.
I will be compiling a list of games and what settings were successful here as people list them.
Soulcraft THD runs with reduce texture quality and the nvidia plugin. It lags when some spawns load, but this doesn't seem to prevent playing.
Street Fighter IV runs with Qualcomm plugin.
Ive got Chainfire3D set up but how exactly (and where exactly) does one obtain the nvidia drivers?
Sent from my CM7 Nook Tablet
Nevermind i found em and installed but afterwards i still cant run any of the games. I chose the nvdia driver under opengl and clicked fix market but still says its uncompatible with device. Itll load the market page from the tegra app but then it says its uncompatable

After I installed the chainfire plugins I cleared the data on the market app and rebooted. I used fix market of course and the market no longer shows me the incompatible with this app message.
Trying to get princess punt thd working but so far no luck at all. Thinking I'll be skipping it and moving to the next game

Hmm, Other things I have setup in my settings might make a difference. In the chainfire menu, I've got the nvidia driver setup under default for all apps, and setup as well under per app for the tegra app store. Try making those changes, clear your market data again and reboot (and refix the market)

Hmm. When I first installed the tegra app, I couldn't install from the market. (was trying to install soulcraft) I searched a bit, and found an apk online to download. it installed easy enough via es file explorer, but wouldn't run. I uninstalled the chainfire driver, and reinstalled it with the box checked for the beta egl driver. I then set the nvidia plugin under defaults with chainfire and cleared the market data. (I think this is also where I fixed permissions with rom manager for good measure). after rebooting and setting up chainfire for tegra app to use the nvidia plugin (and only nvidia plugin) for good measure, I also clicked on fix market again for good measure, I tried soulcraft and it still wouldn't run. I went into the tegra app and looked up soulfire. It went to the market download page and the update button was available. I clicked update. the app redownloaded and updated. Now it loads, and I notice that all the thd apps are showing me a download option in the market now.
Somewhere in all this the market started working with the tegra apps. Searches now will show up THD apps and downloads work fine too. I can't think of any other actions i took in trying to get them to load. Perhaps it was the fix permissions that tweaked things. not certain if it was the using the market to update soulfire but I don't see how that could be. I just assumed it was the clearing market data that did it. It might also be the beta egl driver that did it.
Lol ill try that soon when i have the time. Yu really want these tegra games dont you? And are they actually running smooth on the tab?

I've noticed a lot of games seem to come out first for the tegra based devices take soulcraft for instance. I read somewhere it's coming out for all devices soon, but the first release was tegra. When it comes to gaming, I'd rather not wait for several months to play a game if I don't have to.
As for running smooth, so far yes and no. I'm finding that soulcraft plays quite smoothly for the most part. However there are points where it freezes up for like 20 seconds while new creatures are loading. this hasn't negatively impacted gameplay but it's annoying. Otherwise it's played as smoothly as if it was meant for the NT. Still havn't been able to tweak princess punt to work, so I will move onto the next game I see later on tonight.
Ok, After tinkering with reinstalling chainfire after various rom flashes I think the key to get the market to show the tegra apps is simply to first wipe the market data. Second use the "fix market" button in chainfire.
If anyone cares Street Fighter IV runs with the help of Chainfire 3D and the Qualicomm (sp?) driver. Had to mess around a bit and watch a youtube video, it runs well but compared to other games the graphics are just ok and it can be a little choppy.

[Q] Install Real Racing 2 under CM9?

I saw that Real Racing 2 went on sale for $0.99 and I wanted to take advantage of that. Unfortunately, the Play Store seems to think the app is incompatible with my device. I'm running turl's CM9, which, by default, reports itself as an "unknown MB860". I did some research and changed build.prop to be a "motorola MB860", cleared data for Google Play Store, rebooted, and still no go. I then got out a bigger hammer (as the post I found about market incompatibilities suggested) and change it to a "samsung Nexus S". No joy. I can't imagine the game isn't actually compatible with the Atrix, is it? Any idea of how I can get this purchased and installed? Thanks.
You can purchase through logging in to your Google account through a browser on the Google play website. As for installing it I have no idea
I was annoyed by this too. Really wanted to download this game but got the incompatibility message too on cm7.

It's incompatible with stock, the game is probably only for 800x480 pix screens.
