Installed Octane Fitness App, Now Pressing on the Screen Doesn't Work. How to Fix? - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Questions & Answers

I just installed the Octane Fitness App, Smartlink. After running it for a few minutes, it locked up. Now when I press on the screen for anything, it doesn't work. Only the hard buttons work. I tried rebooting, but it reloads this buggy app and then the same problem happens over again. Does anyone have any advice on how to get it to not load the app so I can uninstall it? Am I going to have to do a factory reset and if so, how do I do one on this tablet? I can't find info anywhere and Samsung support is utterly useless.
Thank you.

Factory reset:
Power Tablet Off
Press and hold: Home + Volume Up + Power until the recovery screen loads
Select Factory Reset and follow on-screen prompts

[Q] Sense home screen up-shifted

A strange Sense Home Screen up-shifted as shown in the attached photo. Anyone has a clue how to fix it? It likely happened after trying the "Transcriber.exe" program. Thanks.
Performing a factory reset
Make sure you do a full backup of your data .
The most convenient way to do a factory reset is via the phone settings.
On the Home screen's Settings tab, tap Menu > All Settings > System > Clear Storage.
Enter 1234.
Tap YES to perform the reset, or tap NO to cancel the reset.
Performing a factory reset using phone buttons
If you cannot turn on your phone or access the phone settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using buttons on the phone.
With your phone powered off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
While holding the volume buttons, press the END/POWER button briefly and then release it.
When you see a warning message on screen, release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

[Q] [HELP] Hard Reset Phone Before Activation?

Hello, according to Sprint customer service, my Photon apparently came shipped associated with my Sprint Airrave. It will not activate now. The Sprint rep says that we need to do a hard reset, however, we can't do it without getting past the initial activation screen, and I can't get past that screen because it is associated with the airrave. A vicious circle.
Does anyone know how to do a hard reset without being in the phone software. Is there a combination of buttons to press?
I'd love to get this phone activated tonight as it will be an inconvenience to try to get to a sprint store.
Thanks!
Dan

Perform a factory reset using external keys
Note: It is highly recommended you use the above factory reset using the settings. Making a mistake using the factory reset using external key method could have very bad consequences.
If you are unable to navigate through the menu to perform a factory data reset, you can follow the steps outlined below:
Power off the phone, press and hold volume down button, press power button
Screen will come up with "Fastboot", press Vol down key to cycle through choices until you get "Android Recovery", then press Vol up key
Wait for the "triangle ! / Android" screen then go on to step 4
Press both Vol up and Vol down key simultaneously. A menu will come up
Tap on Vol down key until "wipe data/factory reset" is highlighted, and tap Power key. Another Confirmation screen will come. Tap on Vol down key until coming to Yes and tap Power key
After userdata is cleared, the "reboot system now" option will be highlighted by Default. Tap Power key
Phone will reboot to initial setup screen.
Power down
Hold volume down and power until you see fastboot
Press volume down until you see Android Recovery
Press volume up
When the triangle pops up hold volume down and press power(took me about a minute of pressing for a response)
A menu will pop up, scroll down with volume to factory reset and push the power button
Reboot and you should be good to go

Thank you for your response!
I got as far as the triangle, but no further. I've tried twice, but will keep trying. Let me know if you have other ideas.
Thanks!
Dan
Just to confirm, at the triangle I hold volume down and press power.
Does this mean press and hold power or press the power button repeatedly? I've tried both for more than a minute (maybe more than two). Perhaps I'll try for longer.
UPDATE:
I seem to have gotten it to work by pressing both the up and down volume buttons at the same time from the screen with the triangle.
Thanks for your help!

[Q] Blu Touchbook Pro 7 NOT SHOWING KEYBOARD!!!

I have a Blu Touchbook Pro 7, recently when trying to unlock it, the keyboard would not pop-up to type the password. After re-starting, and shutting the tablet down, the problem still remains. I tried looking for a hard reset option but I don't see any little hole I can insert a clip in.
So, when I tap the touchscreen the keyboard does not appear. For all other options the touchscreen works perfectly.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem???

You don't need to go poking around in holes. Just hold down the Vol+ and the Power button. A little menu pops up. select "recovery mode" with volume down key, then run it by pressing volume down...and you will be in recovery. From there, select "wipe data/factory reset" and you will be able to reboot normally without the screen code (it is wiped as well as all of your data!)

Home button acting weird

Hi
I have a galaxy s3 with cm11 and boeffla kernel. Today, out of nowhere, my home button and menu button started acting weird. I have the home button setted to sleep my phone on long press and wake it up when the screen is off and do nothing on double press . The menu is set to open the recent apps. It has always worked this way till today.
When I press the home button inside an app it won't return to the home but it still wakes the phone when the screen is off. Also the menu won't open the recent apps and it doesn't vibrate either. The back button still works but does not vibrate. I used gravity box to activate the navigation bar and the home button doesn't work on the navigation bar either.
I tried installing upgrating my firmware to the latest nightly, wipe cache and dalvik but no luck.
You won't repair a modded framework, wipe and start again.
So I need to do a factory reset? Is there a way to know what happened? I didn't touch anything. Is it possible that some xposed module caused this?

Upgraded to lollipop? You need to know this!

Wipe the Cache Partition. If you upgraded to lollipop you need to do this. What does it mean?. Apps have files with "histories about you". Imagine a bartender at a bar. Every day you go in the bar (opening an app) he says:Hey hello you are THAT guy. He knows you. I don't know how to make this simple,is like cleaning your room.
Why to do this?
My multitasking button (idk how is called) had a delay of 1 s when i wanted to browse multiple apps. Im a inpacient guy and i don't have a popup messaging app and i use whatsapp. Switching between YouCorn and Whatsapp was a hell. Now i wiped chache partition is A LOT BETTER and i can really feel the lollipop effects knocking hard on my door like Jehova's witnesses. Do this every week, moth, etc. but most importantly AFTER AN UPGRADE(SOFTWARE).
How?
turn off the phone. And no,funny guy, don't throw the battery away out of the phone, long press POWER button and power off. Then push VOLUME UP + HOME + POWER BUTTON untill Grand prime powere by.../Telekom#1Carrier360NoScope/Whatever pops up AND THEN LET GO THE POWER BUTTON. JUST THE POWER BUTTON,and still press Vol Up and Home until the menu appears. Scroll down with Vol up-up;Vol down-down at the WIPE PARTITION CACHE. And please don't play with your cat during this because some genius at Samsung Headquarters did put this option near FACTORY RESET. No joke,be very carefully. Power button to select the option,it shoild take 2 seconds,it will appear down left corner -Wiping cache then Cache wiped. The select the Reboot now option and enjoy your delicious Lollipop new software and press the Thanks button.
I really am sorry for any typos or smth like that,i'm surely this post is clear enough and if it's not, just Google it,there people with more neurons than me.
Thank you for tour tips ! But i think that we can wipe cash in settings on the storage tab
