Fingerprint scanner doesn't work fine on Android 7.1 ROMs! - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hi guys! I have a problem with my fingerprint scanner.
Now i used Resurrection Remix-N v5.8.3 (7.1.2) by andr68rus but i have used every single android nougat ROM and all had a problem with fingerprint scanner.
Here's the problem... When i lock the phone and after some minutes i want to use it again the fingerprint scanner doesn't work!
Do you guys have the same problem with the fingerprint scanner or I'm the only one?

Fingerprint firmware is in the "modem" firmware. Flash either latest Developer or China modem from here and it should solve your problem. https://yadi.sk/d/5v2p3F7o3GJBxn

Now it's ok! Thank you so much!

While what I've seen suggests as much, since this sort of mod can cause a hard brick.... will this work with the x829?
Edit: Impatient, didn't wait. Running w/ PureNexus Nougat, seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!

Chinese 23s modem firmware didn't fix my fp.

Fingerprint still not working
Hi,
Tried the 3 modem drivers (India and US) and FP still not working, did it die or is this normal? Have you found any other drivers? Searched here in XDA but didn't find any. After installation do we need any additional configuration? Thanks.
Regards,
Pedro.

Hi,
i´m on LineageOS 14.1 and the Dev Version MODEM_419D_V.00050.zip fixed the FP for me. THX

Hi, I installed the latest Lineage for the x2, they released the Official Nougat version
https://download.lineageos.org/x2
and as a ROM I like it a lot but the fingerprint sensor only worked the first time when I was configuring the phone, after that it stopped working like if it was dead. This was with US ROM 16s, India ROM 19s, LOS 13 and now LOS 14.
Regards,
Pedro.

What is the diff between 413D and 419D? Developer Modems...

Also don't forget to make sure that 'Settings -> Security -> Quick unlock' is turned on if you are having trouble using your fingerprint or it won't work. I somehow had mine disabled and didn't notice that for a while.

My build doesnt seem to have quick unlock option, tried removing pin and starting with fingerprint + pin configuration but still nothing... Maybe it was the HW that stopped working, tnx for the help.

this happens when you flash zui roms in zuk z1 , which is not preinstalled with ZUI. persist.mbn and rpm.mbn files are different in both the version. just flash cyanogen qfil rom..

Hello guys I have found a solution ?
Just download and flash the firmware from the link given below........on top of your nougat roms....the fingerprint option will be present once you flash this firmware.
Note: Works on nougat roms don't know about Oreo roms
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24351979186684091
I think in nougat ROMs you can separately download nougat ham firmware zip.

Please read both pages, answers are already given.
This was the reason I gave away this phone as the fingerprint homebutton is just a design flaw. not quite sure if you can get a replacement from AliExpress
I have the same issue.
It might be due to an installation of ZUI way back in time when i accidently bricked my phone. Guess the fingerprint isn't working anymore till then (it worked before for sure on Lineage OS 14.1).
What I tried so far:
1) I installed the firmware file from AOSP-Extended from https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/orig-development/rom-aospextended-rom-v5-0-t3720542 and AOSP-Extended Oreo. But the fingerprint didn't work.
2) I installed then AOSP-Extedend Pie but no different result.
3) I used QFIL to install cm-12.1-YOG4PAS3AJ-ham-20151021-qpst from here http://lenovo-forums.ru/topic/19190-zuk-z1-qpst-cm-121-yog4pas3aj-ham-signed-factory-e66b382c5e/ becuase the link provided on site 1 links to androidbrick where the link to the rom doesnt work anymore. Unfortunately QFIL didn't solve the issue.
4) Then I tried flashing Lineage OS 14.1 and flashing the ham-mm-firmware from here https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=817906626617950254 which didn't work too.
5) I used QFIL to install Z1_CN_OPEN_USER_Q4275709.1_L_ZUI_0.9.084_ST_150729_qpst from here https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347826528 but the fingerprint couldn't be configured there too.
6) I tried installing ZUI_1.6.384_ST_160518_qpst from here http://lenovo-forums.ru/topic/19189-zuk-z1-qpst-z1_cn_open_user_q44301_m_zui_16384_st_160518/ but sadly the result was the same.
7) I tried using restor-capacitive-button from here https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087009655 and again no change.
Im pretty sure it's not a hardware defect because I really don't know how that should have happened.
Is there anything else I could do?

Will it work without applying radio update after flashing ROM on x720? Or radio update is must?
I flashed it. It is very smooth and looks nice. Is there a way to turn off the time in the status bar from acting like a power button? I keep pressing it each time I swipe down for notification lol.

GPS Issues on NOS, LOS and MIUI Nougat

Hi guys,
I'm having a super slow gps fix no matter what i try
1. Flash latest or stable firmware
2. Edit gps.conf
The slow is like i takes almost 5 mins to get a 3D Fix or locked position.
But i notice this happen since nougat build. Miui official on marshmallow work extremely fast to get a fix. But whenever i use custom rom like NOS Oreo or Nougat, LOS Oreo or Nougat and also MIUI Nougat (Epicrom) Latest 9.x still have this issues
Im on Kate, official unlocked bootloader. I wonder is there any method i can try?

Yes i did know this method works., But if u dirty flash an update again ur gps will broke. So u need redo again everything from beginning. It's no a good method tho but it work ?
Dug up the Github commit, here's the dev's quote:
https://github.com/nitrogen-project...mmit/5a9e84251696bb48e8fe184784226604efdf6f6c
[haggertk]:
* During bring-up of O, GPS was exhibiting different behavior from
N -- an appropriate number of satellites would immediately lock,
but a fix would not resolve for 30-90 seconds. Digging up this
change from the L-era allows GPS to resolve a fix in a nominal
amount of time.

Hi guys,
Any progress on this issue? Anyone tried latest NOS maybe? I switched back from NOS Oreo to NOS Nougat because of this...
Ok guys,
Please take note this will make u lost your IMEI somehow mine is missing but i did have a backup so i can restore it anytime. Without IMEI it doesn't affect me at all.
This method is weird so, backup before you do it. Not responsible for anything happen
1) boot into FASTBOOT
2) connect to computer use ADB and key in this
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.BIN
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot reboot
The nonhlos.bin can be found inside a official miui rom and flashing the non hlos is not necessary.
Test your gps after that it should work. Please report back

This method doesn't work. And it only work for one days. And ppl like me have no time to wait for it to fix before moving
Some ppl lucky enough that they dont even have any bugs. I actually suspect its hardware compatibility issues. Blame xiaomi for that maybe? Hahaha
simple, use Device only as agps given problem often (depend on the agps mood?).
I also removed miui built in compass as it shown compass accuracy high to low from gps test app (suspect this causing the gps locking issue too).
now waze locking every time within few seconds.

If someone can link me to a full flashable EMUI ROM that I can go back to if I don't like Lineage, I would be happy to be the guinea pig.
NFC doesn't seem to be working?
Yep seems not working
Tapatalk
Hello .. i flashed it on my Mate 10 Lite .. the rom is pretty smooth and reliable .. flashed it through TWRP .. everything seems to be working .. but same as carbon the portrait and wide aperture doesn't work .. the camera just hangs until you turn them off .. front cam doesn't save pictures when beauty mode is on .. other than that it's pretty good for a beta release .. i don't know about NFC though as my device doesn't support it .. give it a shot .. and by the way .. you should use HURUPDATER method for returning to stock EMUI .. i use it and it's working like a charm for me .. going to check for bugs even deeper .. give it a shot !
NFC is no go with Los. Tried Carbon out, it has NFC so may stick to Carbon in the mean time.

The only issues are nfc and that some of the camera gimmicks do not work but for regular point and shoot it's same quality as stock

consistent 6hrs sot for me
Works fine for me, Mate 10 Pro (BLA-29).
Anyone knows how to root this system? Tried LOS 15.1 su addon, but did not work.
Also why when I browse ./system folder under TWRP, this folder is empty?
Edit:
I've installed Magisk, works fine.
And for TWRP, I suggest installing Unofficial by @Pretoriano80. Now I can see content properly and also access to all partitions works fine.

I thought pretoriano twrp didn't work with custom roms. I normally get stuck in the splash screen screen of twrp.
Did you do anything special for it to work?
Carbon,Lineage, or Resurrection? Any opinions on the matter?

I ask the same. Which is the killer feature of each of them?

pretoriano twrp loads ok for me, but I had problems with some partitions - couldn't mount system in write mode and other errors.
Official twrp, works on with LOS, but I have one problem - cant write Cache partition...

I only tried Lineage and Resurrection. Lineage seems smoother to me, Resurrection does have some more customisations but I switched back to Lineage.
Did anyone tried installing gcam on this lineage?
Is it working properly?

RR if you want tons of customization in your rom (some customization are not working properly)
Lineage for more stability
And carbon for something in between both of them

Doesn't recognize my SIM since my phone is a single SIM variant.
Any ideas?
Is this just something in the build.prop?

Hmm... I am in a bit of a position now.
Can't figure out how to get it to recognize my SIM and if I switch back to my "current-slot" = "b" my phone isn't booting past the Nokia screen.
Might have just effectively made my phone a wifi-only device... :-/
My IMEI is correct for the SIM 1 slot. So that is good news probably....

Not yet.
I moved my SIM over to another phone for now.
Downloading the World Wide firmware and am going to try to flash that to my TA-1016.
With any luck that will get me back to stock and working SIM.
