This might be a stupid question - Samsung Galaxy S8 Accessories

So i pre ordered the s8+ and recently got the vr in the mail. The instruction given by samsung to redeem the free vr content is
Create or sign in to your Oculus account from your new Samsung Galaxy device.
From the Oculus app, tap the More icon on the bottom right > tap Redeem Code > enter your code** > tap Submit.**You can omit the dash when entering your code, it will automatically populate.
Question is what code are they talking about, does anyone know????
I have tried to look everywhere i cant seem to find that code

It should be in a black envelope that came in the box the VR was shipped in. Kind of easy to miss. One of those scratcher cards

[Q] New Yorker Galaxy Tab Edition

Hi all,
The New Yorker magazine has a Galaxy Tab edition of their app and I was wondering if there's ANY way to get this app for an Android phone. Surely there must be an .apk somewhere?
Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
I'd been looking for the APK, too. I found it last night and installed it on my ViewSonic G Tab (w/Vegan Gingerbread) and after a bunch of application errors, finally got it to work. I loaded the onto my Droid 3, but haven't gotten it to work.
It is a laborious processes with multiple downloads and registrations.
Go to www'nextissue'com/instruction'html# (replace ' with . - I'm not permitted to post outside links yet) At the bottom of the instruction page is a "Try downloading again" link that will start the download of the Next Issue (NI) apk.
Once you get the Next Issue app installed, you'll have to create an NI account.
With that installed go to the NI Store inside the app and click on The New Yorker (TNY) sample issue. In the new window, select the "Digital Upgrade" button.
You'll then have to enter your subscription information from your TNY mailing label. Once that is verified by NI, you'll be prompted to download the TNY/NI app.
After the TNY/NI app is installed you may have to input your NI login information again.
Then, the TNY issue has to be downloaded on to your device via the TNY/NI app.
When the download is done, you should be able to enjoy TNY on your phone/tablet.
Hope that helps.
Ok, so essentially, I'll still need a digital subscription. I wish there was a way to know it would work with my mytouch4g before paying for a whole year subscription.
there are sample issues to download and preview, though you may have to enter credit card info for the sample -- says you won't be charged if you cancel w/in 30 days.
try to download the apps, of you get that far and everything is working, then the magazines will probably work.
It seems like some print/mail subscriptions include the free digital subscription and others are additional $. I have print subscriptions for New Yorker, People and Esquire. After I entered my subscription numbers, only Esquire asked for payment info.
The New Yorker is working well on my tablet. The site says it's "optimized" for the Samsung Galaxy and Moto Xoom. People had a video that wouldn't play inside one of the articles so it may be that some features won't work on "non-optimized" devices.
Well, what I'm hoping for is to be able to pay to read it on my mytouch 4g and on my CM7 Nook color.
Does anyone have the apk for this? I tried to install TNY on my xoom using the NI Store and couldn't find the app listed. Their support folks then told me that it has only been released for the lower resolution devices so far.

[Q] Samsung Dive

Does anyone know if the U.S. (Sprint) GSIII's will be able to use the Samsung Dive Remote Controls? It looks like you can lock, wipe, backup, locate your phone all from a computer. Right now I guess just the EU phones can do this because "settings - security - remote controls" isnt even an option on my GSIII.
I know Sprints Total Equipment Protection App (found in app market) can do all of these things. But it would be cool to use the Samsung one until the GSIII is supported by the TEP App.
I ran into the same problem last night when trying to get this to work. Even on the Samsung Dive site, the Remote Control link doesn't work. Someone said that it isn't available in the US, but mentioned an app that works pretty good instead. I forgot to bookmark the thread before I went to bed last night, so can't tell you the name of it, but I'll be looking for it today. I remember it started with a C.

NFC Task Launcher Question

Well, I emailed the developer about this question a couple days ago...still waiting...but just in case some of you high IQ guys know how to do this...
I have a tag that I set up to open up the Navigation app. In Task Launcher, when I select the Navigation app...there is a command below it: CUSTOM...open a specific activity within an app. There are no option in the app itself to change it...but it looks like I need to type what I want launched once the Navigation app is opened.
I want the Map activity to launch...what code do I need to put in there? Looks like there already is a code there...and it looked like it was going to do what I wanted...but it doesn't do anything. (com.google.android.maps.driveabout.app.DestinationActivity)

Hey, I'm on vacation but have been answering emails - mostly from my phone. I don't see any that didn't get responses, when did you email?
That custom activity field is for specifying a full package and activity within that package, like you cite at the end of your post. Right now you have to type it out (mainly because this was never intended to be widely used) going forward there are plans to make this more user friendly.
Can you grab the logcat output when you try to launch that activity (enable debugging in the app) and send that? I should be back tomorrow or Wednesday and can get back to proper work.

[Q] The way google register your phone on your account..?

Hello, i'm wondering how it works cause weird entry shows in my account... I had two i9100, i can see the one i use now, however i don't see the other one (which was sent back a month ago), instead i see another i9100 entry with same IMEI as 1st one and it's recorded as of 23th december..? What should i understand..?
Older phones i got more than 6 months ago still show up in my dashboard so why that i9100 is not..? Last thing, some of those old phones i had have their "last activity" recorded date way after i sold/returned them... Like a month later. How can it be explained..?
These phones weren't destroyed, someone still use them now so if "last activity" records whenever the phone's connected, no matter the account, the last date should be much closer to december! If you don't get it, read again, it's clear..
Please anyone?
Open Firefox (or any java script enabled browser, chrome is good) and login to your Google account and then open play store. Now open your Web console by pressing shift +k (in Firefox, or f12 I think in chrome) in the Web console enter "initprops.devices" and hit return this will list all your devices along with your device's unique android id, whatever is after g is your id. Now you can check your android of your phone from your phone by dialing *#*#8255#*#*, in the window that pops up search for device id, whatever is after "android-" is your phones unique id. Now match the ids and find out!

I went on playstore, was already logged, i pressed F12/Console/then typed what you said : NOTHING CAME.
In Firefox you've to type it to search the key! I guess in chrome you've to search for "initprops.devices" manually! Find it and it'll be there!

TOTP client release.

This TOTP client has been released.
Search "one time password" in GalaxyApps.
this is open source :

Great app, thank you very much for releasing it! Just one small problem, my Amazon 2FA shows up as 000000... I'm certain I copied the right code in the correct format.
When you have time, can you please look into that? Thanks. Using Gear S2 with S7 Edge. Added codes via MP3.
Not working with Geat S3 frontier.
Only black blank screen.
