The exact same case was available under another brand, but they're both practically the same. I have the Tarkan case, and it's been working well for the last six months. The kickstand's become loose due to dropping the phone multiple times, though. The feel of the case is excellent, but prone to collecting sweat and dust.

Top 5 OnePlus 5 Cases you can get now!

Hi all,
As most of you know, I've been testing out every case I can get my hands on. It's been more difficult this year, there doesn't seem to be as much choice and companies such as Spigen have really dragged their heels on getting cases out for this community. Here it is, my top 5 cases out at the moment which will do you proud.
1. Orzly Fusion Bumper
This case I've only had for a week or so and it's already risen to the top of my list. It's absolutely my favourite and I'll tell you why:
- Protects the case well.
- Adds extra grip to the phone.
- Combo's well with your favourite skin manufacturer (Xtreme, dBrand, Slick etc..)
Overall it's the best all round case, it's nowhere near as expensive as the official OnePlus stuff and it's my daily driver on the OnePlus 5.
2. Tudia OMNIX
Another latecomer to the party (in fact I've only just published the video on this one) but a fairly decent one. This case is my "if I'm going on a messy night out case."
What I mean by that, is that it provides excellent all round protection without completely compromising the use of the phone (like a flip case) It has a built in screen protector, which if used for longer stretches could get annoying and has port covers which makes the phone better protected against those accidental drops in beer.
3. Orzly Slim Stand Case
I'm rewarding Orzly here because of all the case manufacturers they seem to be the one taking risks on the OnePlus 5. Not only have they changed up their, FlexiCase, Wallet & Fusion designs they've produced an entirely new case for the OnePlus this year with the Slim Stand case.
The Slim Stand case make's it onto the list because it's not a case that I thought I'd like much when I saw it on Amazon. I ordered it, just so I could do a review and then probably stick it back in it's box. However to my surprise I've really enjoyed using this case. It's given me the functionality of a more traditional flip case, without the annoying "flip" element.
It feels really premium in the hand and uses the phones beauty and elegance to it's advantage. It's also a really handy case for those of you still playing Pokemon Go as you can use the stand to rest your finger through when you're out walking!
4. Spigen Rugged Armor
Spigen make it onto the list, even though they're main cases are still slated for release in September. Months after the phone was released! Imagine how much further they'd be up if they'd put some effort in!
Those of you which have had the Rugged Armor in the past know what to expect. It's premium at a reasonable price and it'll do what it says on the packaging, which is add extra grip and impact protection. It help's that it looks pretty nice also!
It can be said that you could probably get the Orzly FlexiCase for a little cheaper if you wanted to save some pennies.
5. OnePlus Silicone Red Case
I initially loved this case, but my love waned the longer I had it on the phone. This is very much a "showpiece" case with little utility, but if you've been racking up those referral points, already purchased the backpack then this would be my next choice. It feels super on the phone, adds some welcome colour- just don't leave it on for too long or it'll start to fade and feel tacky!
Thanks,
Let me know if you have any questions!

I'm trying to take into consideration cost vs effectiveness. At least for me, the Otterbox is far too expensive to make it worth purchasing over any of these cases!
Do you feel the ring on the back of the Orzly Slim Stand Case, prevents you from laying the phone down screen side up because it would make the phone 'uneven'?
I really don't like laying my phone down facedown. Seems counterintuitive in my head if I'm trying to protect the screen from scratches.
Also, does the ring on the back keep the phone from sliding in and out of your pocket smoothly?
^That first point is what stopped me from continuing to use my Spigen Style ring.

Going to try this from supcase OnePlus 5 Unicorn Beetle Pro Full-Body Rugged Holster Case -Black
With a build in screen protector and hoping that this works for me.
Here is a YouTube review
Any thoughts on ringke fusion..? Looks vfm to me..itnseems very close to spigen hybrid..

Finally!! UB Pro for 6t!

Supcase makes a great full protection case called Unicorn Beetle Pro. Some of you are surely familiar with it. For those not, give it a look. It offers the most protection for our phones, at a reasonable price. You can search "UB Pro OnePlus 6t" to find vendors.
Have one? Lemme know your thoughts ...
Can you take the screen protector off easy?

I love it. It's easy to assemble and disassemble. It's looking great! It's not heavy at all! Drop it and it still not crack.
Is it waterproof?

I took the built in screen protector when I bought one for my iPhone x. Had a glass screen protector on the phone and it felt so much better. Not hard to take off just take your time going around.
FYI: The case looks like it is the exact same as Poetic Guardian, but Poetic's is cheaper.
Cant speak for poetic. But ive used unicorn beetles for years. Always top notch. Ide pay a few more bux unless i saw an awesome review on the poetic.
Sent from my LG-H830 using Tapatalk
Used poetic cases on essential and pix 2xl and they were about the same quality as a Spigen of the same build type.
I ordered the Poetic with the clear back while waiting for UB Pro to release. It is similar except they cut a notch where the camera is which means dust ends up behind the screen protector on the poetic also it feels looser the screen protector has some play and the back clear portion fills with pocket dust also since its not tight to the phone either. Also the UB Pro has a kickstand I would say if u dont mind dust behind the screen protector and the back get the cheaper Poetic if you want a tighter more dust resistant case with kickstand get the UB Pro

As a former user of a UB Pro on a Nexus 6P, yes. I utilized a intelliglass/intelliarmor Tempered glass screen protector after removing the built-in plastic cover.
Now, I am using the Poetic Revolution with the OP6T. I did the same thing with the built-in screen cover. Currently, have a tempered glass screen protector for it....just waiting for the plastic one to fall off/peel up.
For removing the built-in plastic (or at least what worked for me), heat up the adhesive a bit to loosen it up and then use a utility knife/blade to slide it under the plastic. Your mileage may vary, so be careful to use the knife/blade away from yourself (cut away) and the plastic case may heat up (watch out for hot surfaces with your finger tips).
For those with the UB Pro case, how is the flap covering the alert slider? On the Poetic, it can be a little bit difficult to switch the slider.
I purchased a Unicorn Beatle case for my Moto g5 Plus over a year ago. Yesterday I purchased a new OnePlus 6T from OnePlus, and after performing an extensive search over the past two weeks to discover if there have been any new rugged cases designed since then that may outperform the Unicorn Beetle Pro, I've concluded the Poetic Revolution is the only one that comes close but the Unicorn Beetle Pro still reigns as champion in my honest opinion. Why? Because it's honestly the best case for those who value the best protection for their phone.
Unicorn Beetle Pro vs. Poetic Revolution
I've never purchased a Poetic Revolution case, but I can share my experiences and knowledge of the UB Pro and the subtle differences I've recognized between the two. Although the two appear to almost identical, at first glance, there are a couple subtle differences I feel give the UB Pro an advantage over the Poetic Revolution. For example, the corner bumpers of the UB Pro are extended/larger to add additional protection, not only from corner impacts but also side impacts between the corners. Inside these corners are larger air chambers to add cushioning protection in order to absorb shock and impacts. These raised corner bumpers also provide additional side clearance that protects the buttons and the side of the device from impacts. Then there's the included holster which is an obvious advantage over the Poetic Revolution package, and it's a good holster. I've had phone holsters in the past that didn't hold up to every day impacts and rubs, and the belt clip ended up easily and unrepairably breaking off, almost effortlessly. However, the UB Pro holster has put up with a surprising amount of impacts and rubs without any issues at all.
The Unicorn Beatle body rubber is firm, yet soft enough to absorb shock and prevent damage to the device. I've had numerous accidental drops throughout the year while handling the device, even down a flight of steps, and the UB Pro has done exactly what it's suppose to do, protect my device. It's never disappointed me.
I don't know what thickness the Poetic Revolution case provides, but I measured various areas of my UB Pro case with a caliper and found the back thickness of the case to be .13" (3.302mm) thick, and it's made of a blend of rubber and polymer. The front protection for the phone screen is what makes the Unicorn Beatle stand out from most if not all of the other phone cases I've seen. Around the perimiter of the device screen is a raised lip which measures a strong .13" (3.302mm) above the device screen. This is the same clearance provided for the rear camera. Many people don't realize the huge advantage this provides toward protecting your device screen and camera lens, far and above all of the other phone cases I've tried which only measured around 0.0393701" (1mm) to 0.0590551" (1.5mm) at the most. Why is this an advantage? So glad you asked, lol. In the event your phone slips from your hand and lands face down outside, there's a good possibility Mr. or Mrs. Pebble (which ranges from 2-4mm) could be waiting in ambush for the opportunity to focus all of its attention on one tiny location on your screen with a kiss, which will more than likely shatter the phone screen. The Unicorn Beatle is the only phone case I've come across to date that provides an additional 0.0984252" (2.5mm) clearance beyond what all of the other cases provide. I believe Supcase has intentionally designed this in because they understand the importance of not only protecting the back and side of your device, but also your device screen from the kiss of disaster by Mr or Mrs Pebble.
As for the built in screen protector on the Unicorn Beatle case, meh. It will protect your device from key and coin scratches, but it allow dust and debris to get between the plastic screen protector and the phone screen (at least with the Moto G5 Plus), which in turn could damage the phone screen. Initially, I installed a tempered glass screen protector on my device screen in combination with the UB Pro plastic screen protector, however, I ultimately pulled off the plastic screen protector built into the Unicorn Beatle frame and cleaned off all of the glue. With that said, I've had no issues with the Unicorn Beatle case causing any problems with the tempered glass screen protector installed on my device.
Best wishes to you. If you choose to purchase a Unicorn Beatle case and holster package, I believe you'll be fully satisfied by the level of protection it provides.
Perhaps if someone out there has the Poetic Revolution case, they can take some measurements to show additional comparisons between the two. Or, I may order one in order to post the differences in here.
Shalom aleichem
I have a poetic case.
I left the stock screen protector on.
The dust part is annoying, I miss the LifeProof case I had on my pixel XL.
Only modification I made was the cut off the USB hinge, as I felt the hinge was putting pressure on the USB cable while plugged in, and therefore putting pressure on the USB internal connector.
So as a precaution, I trimmed it off with an exacto blade, and now it's much easier to plug in the us cable in the car especially.
I already got my unicorn beetle pro case from supcase -- amazon fulfilled the order. I bought mine for 22 bucks.

Absolute thinnest case

Which case for the s20 ultra is the absolute thinnest? I used to have the TOZO on my s10+ which was paper thin and loved it but they don't make one for s20 series. Any other recommendations?
Pitaka Air Case. Unsure, if it is made for the s20. Mag Case is a little thicker but has metal plates embedded.
Air case is the absolut thinnest, imo.
if your just aiming for scratch resistance maybe go for a skin?

This Totallee thin case is great... I've had this case on my last three phones, including the s20+. Zero drop protection, obviously, but all around scratch protection, and the thinnest case I've come across. Highly recommended.

Pitaka, it's expensive but worth it. Won't come off and doesn't feel flimsy like thin TPUs.
Unfortunately, like thin TPUs offers little protection especially for the screen but if you're into thin you're already aware of that.

I would but ultimately also want scratch and dent protection around the corners which a skin doesn't cover. A super thin case have proven the best option for me as I hardly ever drop my phone and if it happens it falls on a hard wood floor at home where a thin case suffices.
If you want something high quality and not copied / ripped off like this strange YouTubers cases, you want this:

Baseus wing case. I have used it on several phones and it is very thin.
https://www.baseus-cn.com/baseus-wing-case-for-samsung-galaxy-s20-plus-galaxy-s20-ultra-galaxy-s20/
Spigen Air is pretty good too, and inexpensive.
The Samsung LED Cover case is very very minimal, but helps even out the camera bump on the back. Gimmicky LEDs but still fun to show off. Too expensive for many though.
bare-cases.com
Use this on my S20 Ultra and can't tell there's a case on (apart from the feel in texture)
Just received the Baseus wing case, NEVER have a had a case so thin!
Good day. I have been using since my S8 the MNML cases. Didn't found any thinner than this, 0,35mm
https://mnmlcase.com/products/galaxy-s20-mnml-case?variant=31759092023375
I purchased a carbon fiber case off of Ebay, great quality and the most minimal case I've tried to date. It unfortunately doesn't protect the front screen well but you have to give up some things.
http://https://www.ebay.com/itm/254320840338
X-Level Ultra Thin is 0.18mm
Half the thickness of most of the cases above .. grip is nice .. $10 from aliexpress ... similar material to my totallee
Do any of these thin cases offer lip protection?

Bare cases are trash, and their customer service is equally trash. The small strip of the case that runs above the volume key cutout is flimsy. I'm on my 2nd bare case since the first started to deform after a couple of weeks. The 2nd case has now done the same. I bought one for my sister's s9, and the edges of the case of the start began to deform after a couple of weeks too.
Bought the Samsung Silicone Cover, it's a bit thicker than the barecase, but at least I can be certain it won't break on me after 2 weeks.

Really? Can't say I've had the same issue's at all. Customer services admittedly are abit slow at responding but not as bad as any other. I was sent a S20 case instead of a S20 Ultra at first so got in touch and they responded within 3 days, polite and friendly and got the correct case sent out to me.
Havnt had any issues with the case deforming or edges breaking as you mentioned though and I've had it around 5 months now.
How long did you have yours before you noticed issues? Cant imagine it was literally 2 weeks.

My first one I noticed the thin strip deforming after maybe 3 weeks. The second one I paid more attention to, and honestly started deforming around 2 weeks in. Not immediately noticeable, but it will get worse over time.
I don't know with the Ultra being a thicker phone in general the case might be more resilient deforming in the same spot, but on my S20+ it is most definitely a design fault.
The first reply from their customer service was prompt enough, but then had to wait over a week for a reply after that and then a further 3 days for a response after that point. Their initial response was I must be keeping my phone in tight jeans or taking the case on and off, but neither of those things are valid. Delivery of the replacement took around a month. Whilst I appreciate that I'm not based in that cheery US of A. Delivery to the UK should not have taken that long.
Overall 3/10, emphasises form over function, and fails at longevity. Plus I couldn't feel the side buttons through the side of it.

You need a good case. High G impacts can damage chipsets and mobos even if the external covers and frame rail survive. An impact that can bend frame rail or cracked the display can certainly cause internal damage by G loading alone. A good case spreads out the G loading over more time, absorbs some of the energy and makes the drop survivable.
Many cases claim mil spec drop resistance but a 4 foot drop onto plywood covered concrete isn't the same as a 2 foot drop onto concrete! That's if they actually even tested it, some don't.
Slim pickens for this phone so far, sorry. I use the Zizo Bolt on corner hitting Note 10+. Zero damage in spite of near a dozen drops onto concrete. Zizo hasn't picked up the OnePlus line unfortunately.
Two layer composite protection works best but the layers must remain in place on impact. The flying through the air double impact drops are why this is important. Sounds impossible until you're witnessing a phone doing this death dance bouncing around on the concrete
The Bolts 2 layer case doesn't come apart easily, by accident or on purpose. Look for cases with similar design.
I went with the Poetic Guardian. Good compromise between protection and being able to not carry a brick. I first ordered the Revolution but it was way to big to hold.

Accessories iPitaka MagEz case for S23

Been a lover for their fiber cases since N10 days.
Works well with wireless charging and also NFC. Bare and slim look.
It's real light and works well with most of the screen protector I have tried including whitestone.

Amazing case, looks very classy.
Only using if for formal occasions as it offers minimal scratch protection and is as slippy as a bar of soap
I got the same case. Really love super-low profile Arabid cases and this one certainly fits the bill.
Only downside i experience if removing it is extremely difficult. It's so tightly fitting it's tricky to get it off
But that's a very occasional problem and nothing everyday
Yeah I have the Pitaka case for my S23U, I have always used the Thin fit Aramid fiber cases for all of the phones I have had, this is the first time for the Pitaka case and love it, I have the Overture case that has the green/red strip down the back.

I am assuming they left some space for camera holes in case you put lens protectors inside?
Which screen protectors are you using with this case?
Holes in the case.
Using AM Film
I ordered one last night, the Rhapsody version. I usually run full protection cases (have the Mouse Aramid right now) but can't even remember the last time I dropped a phone.
With my S20 FE, using a full protection case since day 1, the bottom frame of the phone got very scratched up because debris got inside, between the case and phone. I'm hoping that with how tight the Pitaka fits that I won't have this issue.
But now the sides of the S23U will be exposed, so I also wonder how well the phone will resist side scratching lol.

I found the best way is the bottom.... try to "roll" your thumb around the lip part of the case one side at a time...
