xposed on our tablet? anyone interested to help? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

okay, i was searching all over the net and didn't find any xposed version that wanted to work on our devices. closest to success was solarwarez xposed for miui tablet. it installed but bootlooped tablet.
there are however xposed installers for 6.0 and 5.0 versions of android but not for 5.1.1., but there is patch on github for x86_64. although i have no idea how patching works, i could try following instructions if somebody knows how patching things works.
that is if anyone is interested in having xposed which would really give our device some life, because there are no custom roms for it.
i tried editing build.prop and added some tweaks. they worked, but that's the extent of my knowledge.

[Q] Where do I find current/new code when installing an apk?

So here is what i'm trying to do.
I use to have a Galaxy Nexus with AOKP, OmniRom, etc installed as well as I have OmniRom on my 2013 N7. My current phone is a Moto X & I have the stock rom on it with xposed installed.
What I like abut Omni on my N7 is that when I go to install an apk, I get the current version installed as well as the new version installed under version info (which you can't find on stock roms). (look at the screen shot attached)
I've been interested in trying to make an xposed module to re-create this for stock roms however I have no idea where to find the string of code that inserts the current/new info you see in the screen shot. I've tried Stackoverflow, but haven't found my answer yet.
It's obviously seen in many custom roms & i'm sure many of you have seen it, but I don't know what portion of the rom it gets coded in, to be able to see what the strings look like to make it work.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Do I need to ask a rom dev or try to ask this on stack?

microG

I'm interested in the project but can't seem to get it working... Has anyone had any luck? (Xposed just bootloops) https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-microg-gmscore-floss-play-services-t3217616
So far I found what's needed is, since no Xposed ???
-deodex rom
-signature spoofing
Found a way I posed in the guide section

Anyway to enable on-screen keys on the unofficial (Q) 17.1 Lineage os rom?

Because Android 10 is read only, there was no viable way to enable navbars unless the feature was activated within the custom kernel, which the creator hasn't enabled yet and has since stopped updating the rom. There was hope however on this thread I found (https://forum.xda-developers.com/7t-pro/help/mount-r-want-to-update-build-prop-t4096033) where build.prop edits in android 10 can stick with an .sh extention-write, so I was hoping if someone can post a video/tutorial about just this method as an alternative to editing the build.prop on this rom. Open to other any ideas in the comments below.

Firetv stick 2(TANK) CM 12.1 xposed modules, further tweaks?

Hello guys n girls how you all doing? OK I hope
Messing around with my firesticks just now and was wondering if any of you know of any decent mods available via magisk or Xposed for lineage Os mod?
I read somewhere that a few of the guys had successfully installed magisk modules on CM 12.1 firestick. However I cannot find the posts to the details of which add-ons people are using in search.
Any help or pointers in the direction of these would be great
Thank you for taking time to read my post. Much appreciated :good:

Themes / Apps / Mods T220 A13 Working GSI Overlay

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had a working overlay for A13 GSI's on the T220. The one that is merged from the Treble repo doesn't work on the T220 (or at least I can't get it to work). I've also tried a Magisk module that @tom.android made but couldn't get it working either. I've seen a couple threads with a couple screenshots where it looks like there's one floating around that works but the download artifact was not there any more. Thanks all for all you do for the community!
