Good fitting Oneplus bootanimation - OnePlus 3T Themes, Apps, and Mods

This is a bootanimation that fits well with the bootloader splash screen.

Nice one, I like how the Android logo slides down.

Nice

Looks cool, but eats up all the phone resources. I don't recommend using it, it slows down the boot time significantly.

Boot animations/splash screens

I was looking through the evo4g forums and found some really nice boot animations and splash screens. Can I use them since the screen resolutions are the same?

The little things.

What are the little (or big I suppose) things that make you love your Note over your past phones? Also, if you've installed ICS, what are the little things you notice over GB?
Personally, there are a few things about the Note in general that make it the most awesome phone out there now and the foreseeable near future:
*Obviously the screen. Better than everything out there. 5.3 inches. Bam. Super AMOLED HD. Bam. This thing amazes me and everybody who has seen this thing.
*SPen. I originally thought it would be a cool novelty, but not much more. Boy am I wrong. I'm Swyping this whole message using the SPen and tablet Swype beta. Easily the fastest and most accurate speech entry I have come across. Also, using the SPen is super useful to jot down quick notes. Lastly, it is also really great for navigating the phone, especially while it it's laying on a table or desk. The smoothness that the SPen tip has allows me to only use my pen hand, whereas using a finger requires me to still use my other hand to hold it in place in the desktop because of the friction of my finger.
*Flip cover. I know most people don't like it much, but I think it's great. Not only does it protect my screen in my pocket, but I also love having it cover the screen while holding it up to my head for a call, as it keeps oils off of my screen, especially while I'm sweating during any physical activities. The texture of the back also has a grippy, yet nice to the touch feeling compared to the glossy stock white back. Lastly, it's a great way to hold the phone in portrait mode like a book with my thumb right in the hinge/crease.
Now for the little things about ICS over GB:
*Face unlock. Once you take enough calibration pictures, it's super quick and amusing, not to mention ****ing awesome. I feel futuristic as hell when I use it. Haha.
*Task manager. Love the swipe to remove thumbnails. Way better/much more visually appealing way of switching between apps.
*Animations. They seem so much smoother in general. Not too much to explain.
*Screen dimming. On GB, the transition from bright to dark just before the screen times out was instant, and the stark change bugged me. On ICS, it fades to the darker setting, and if you touch the screen to brighten it up, it scales back up to bright very smoothly again.
*Swyping while charging. On GB, if my phone was charging, for some reason, Swype would get very jumpy and inaccurate, the trail showing a jagged trail I was supposedly drawing. On ICS, it's just as smooth as when it's not charging.
*Overall setup of the system. The menus, how you add widgets and apps, and rearrange home screens all are more visually pleasing and better to me.
*ICS versions of apps. I love the clean lines of the ICS versions, as well as how some apps are completely different like the ICS version of Google Maps. Included in ICS apps is Chrome beta, which is very nice and smooth, only I wish I could put it in a desktop browser mode, as mobile versions of websites are irrelevant for the most part with this screen.
*ICS made the black crush issue way better. I know they could make it even better, and I'm sure it eventually will be through either Samsung or our awesome devs, but for now it's much better.

+1 on the screen/size.
+1 also on the s pen and Swyping..
Also coming from a vibrant I must say the GPS is awesome.

I jumped from the Streak to the Note and I have to say I do enjoy the screen much better than my Streak, a lot clearer. But the 2 biggest reasons why I jumped was to move to a device with extra horsepower and a bigger community. DJ_Steve was a godsend for the streak but as time moves on, so do devs and I'm happy to be apart of a community where there are so many devs working all towards making our device the best it can be.
I love how people first make fun of me for having this phone, but then when they actually hold it and play with it they discover how awesome it is

[Q] windows phone 7.8 should use full screen till edges. what you think?

Hi
Windows phone 7.8/8 with various tile size looks good but it doesn't fit well in smaller screen like 3.7" in Lumia 800.
I have tested some WP8 simulator app also. But today I thought of downloading an image of wp7.8/8 start screen to
see how it will look in this screen size.
Then I zoomed the image a bit so it fits the screen till edges without leaving any space on left & right sides. I was surprised
as I felt it more natural to look at & elegant too. I don't know if Microsoft &Nokia can do that or not , but I personally feel that
In today's world where all manufacturer are running after making larger screen , it would be better to utilize more screen space
claverly .
Vote if you like it http://windowsphone.uservoice.com/f...ch-live-tile-usage-area-till-edges-of-the-scr
What do you fell? Just for opinion if you don't want please don't abuse. Thanks
I think that this new startscreen is amazing but i don't know where are the other apps.. is there the same app list of Mango?

yes same app list.
I cant see any attachments
I think it's fine and looks finished like this. stretching from edge to edge will make a feeling that icons are cut off.

[Q] Complaints I heard - true?

Some oddball complaints I just heard (not saying they necessarily make sense):
- Screen image yellowish: Apparently an early production issue?
- Power button sort of wobbly
- Bad protection film on screen ( can't it just be pulled off and replaced by a 3M or so?)
- Videostream playback crappy when Bluetooth is active?
Protection
I have seen the display protector on Youtube, he thought it was a standard one and thought it could be taken off, so I would say it's not good. Maybe we can just replace it
I can confirm that on me device (SGP311DE):
Screen image is yellowish!
my SO- 03E screen is heavy yellow!!
will you return it?
Compare the Xperia Z display to a white sheet of paper. If one has other devices (many of which can have a blue/hi temperature cast to them) the sudden change to a white or even a warm screen can look very yellow.

It has a yellow tint compared to a white paper too.
I am not bothered by it though.
So, basically:
screen yellowish: yes.
power button sort of wobbly: yes..but not even close to the "I am afraid it will fall off" area or something like that.
bad protection film - cannot confirm, the film is fine
bluetooth audio - got nothing to test that.
On my Tablet Z the USB port doesn't deliver enough current to power a 2.5" external harddisk.
The disk works fine with a Nexus 7 and an Acer A700.

Screen colour looks absolutely fine to my eyes.
Power button is a little bit wobbly. I can't understand why that would bother anyone though.
I immediately removed the screen protector film. It looked like standard packaging stuff rather than attempt at a proper permanent screen protector. I never use screen protectors anyway.
Video playback of a full HD movie with sound playing through bluetooth speakers was faultless.
Hope that helps.

err... You do not mean the sticky tabe which was on the screen fresh out of the box? Because that isn't the screen portector film.
Do you still have the Sony logo on the top left? That one is printed on the screen protector film, so if you had removed it there would be no logo anymore either.

I do still have the logo, in which case I would say it's very, very good screen protector film.
Is the back of the tablet made by the same back material used in the xperia s?
And is ir true that the wifi models don't include sd card support?
Thanks

WiFi only models have sd card support.

- on 3g model - it's perfectly white, without any yellow hints, but I heard it's a problem only with wifi-only models. But cannot confirm, since haven't hold them in my own hands.
- kinda, little bit, doesn't bother at all.
- Yeah, it is bad. It doesn't really help with fingerprints, and it scrathes really easy. I've removed it on my tablet, and, by the way, logo printed on tablet itself, not on the protection film.
- haven't tested it, but even if so - it sounds more like software problem, so it can be fixed in the future.

WOW, I didn't even know there was a screen protector on it, I bought one with the table and was slowly getting round to fitting it...guess I have a spare now.
I've been very happy with mine, Bluetooth audio and SMB movie streaming from my Windows server works great. Powers my external SD card reader without additional power.
But I have just raised a case with Sony about my screen, since this morning I've got a very yellowish area along the right hand side of the screen, only noticeable on light backgrounds. Looks like a burn mark or something similar.
Will have to see what happens there.

Last time I saw partial screen yellowing along an edge, it was due to glass separation along that edge from the chassis on a 32 GB Wifi Nexus 7. The image was also grainier than on my old (and currently only) 16GB Nexus 7. Don't know if that helps in the diagnosis.

Did you put a new screen protector on? From the sounds of it I'll be taking it off straight away, but I don't like screen protectors, so I don't want to add another.
If so, is it fine? Are there any hairline scratches? Cheers

No I haven't, but plan to do it later, cause the screen itself attracts to much fingerprints. But in terms of scratches - there are none so far, even though I don't use cover also. And I doubt there will be anytime soon, cause if I'm not mistaken they use dragontrail glass, same as on Galaxy Nexus, which I didn't bother to put protection on, and which is still like new even after a year of intensive usage.

Clarity/resolution

The Essential Phone has a crazy crisp display. Just kidding, this is automated text so who knows if this screen is any good. So, you be the judge! A higher rating indicates that it's extremely sharp and clear, and that you cannot see pixels with your naked eye.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Very clean and clear display brought new life to wallpapers
Mine looks great. With a high quality wallpaper (shout out to Backdrops) the device really shines. I was worried about it being LCD rather than AMOLED, however after using it for three weeks now, I still prefer the PH-1's display over my old Nexus 6's display. I've had other people comment on how crisp and beautiful the colors look, even iPhone users who gawk when I tell them the pixel density is greater than any iDevice released (and even not released yet!) I love my PH-1.
have to agree and add that i actually tried a live wallpaper and actually am still using it BECAUSE its so sharp. I NEVER use live wallpapers tried this one for giggles https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxelus.livewallpaper.amoled&hl=en and the PH-1 sold me. Just seems different somehow

Honestly? Display is good but not great. I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to this. Used to Samsung Super AMOLED screens, so any LCD just feels like a downgrade. My wife likes it better though because you can actually turn the screen brightness lower if you're lying in bed reading a book.
I am having trouble picking a wallpaper for this phone. Even my Nexus 6 made these pictures pop better than this phone. Might be a software issue though. When watching videos, it doesn't look that bad. I mean you will only get so much out of an LCD screen. This isn't really anything special.

I found that somehow I like the dark wallpapers better on this screen than the amoled on my z2 force which supposedly has better blacks.

If you like grey yeah. But I have 3 Essentials (only one I am keeping) and they all have imperfections around the edges of the screen, so with that picture you have the top left might not look perfect, and even then it would look grey rather than black. Not having this issue with the Razer Phone, but the screen isn't as bright as the Essential so who knows. Didn't really have an issue with the Moto Z2 Force either, but I can tell that its a plastic oled rather than a glass one

Clock is command center, it's what us moto mod users used to see the battery of our moto mods but it works for this phone. The clock is just part of stock Android Pie. I'm using Nova launcher beta (just Google it) and luver icon pack. Here's the wallpaper too. Just something out of my Google plus community
