Otterbox scratched my OP5? - OnePlus 5 Accessories

when rethinking about returning the OP5 i checked the cover again and found a scratched spot on the left side of the camera. I received the Otterbox a couple of days ago. I bought at otterbox shop. Now it seems, that the Otterbox left a mark. Does your Otterbox hard cover part looks like mine? Any Ideas? I'm really pissed......

Probably piece of sand got in when you applied your cover. Or piece of sand got inside while being in the pocket etc.

The device was clean, when the Otterbox was applied.
I found out that the upper part of the hardcover part is not fitting as tight as the lower part, where it is pitched between the sides. The hardcover part in the upper part is slightly moveable. With every contact to the Otterbox, the hardcover touches the backcover. Opening a gap, closing a gap. Dust is not a problem, dust and motion is.

Amzer Shellster case for SGH-i777

Hi All,
Has anyone tried the Amzer Shellster case (AMZ93090)? I ordered a unit to try it out and I love the belt clip part of the case. However, the part of the case that wraps around and protects the backside of the phone is slightly too small - instead of grasping firmly around both sides of the phone, one side is held on by the buttons instead.
Amzer is sending a replacement unit, so hopefully it is a one-off defect, but I'm curious to know if anyone else here has given this case a try.
Thanks!

i have a friend using this case on his i9100. says its great, so maybe that was a one off defect
I received the replacement last week and it definitely fits better. I like how the case feels in my hand.
However, I was surprised to see that the amzer case does not wrap around the front edges of the phone. If I set the phone down with the screen facing downward the glass would be touching the table.
While waiting for the replacement I used the belt clip with a backside case from body glove. It is nothing special, but it does wrap around the front edges of the phone and it fits in the amzer holster.

[Q] For those who use the g-note without a case

Have you left the camera bezel as is or have you covered it up with something?
When I got the phone I was worried about it getting scratched up so I took a screen protector and cut out a square to go over the camera of course I also cut out a hole for the camera to see through but for those who have done nothing do you find the bezel or camera lens has gotten scratched up?
I guess I would also like to know about the silver bezels which go around the width of the phone - scratched up from daily use?
No issue here, but i keep the device in my jacket pocket and never in my pants pocket.
Especially levi fabric...(sand paper )....g
First 4 months i had a flip cover on my phone so it was protected a little bit. Last 5 months has been naked stock cover. No issues at all. Carry it in front pocket all the time. Of course it was mostly summer so it was in shorts pockets but have carried it in my jeans pockets numerous times.
from a galaxy far far away....
no scuffs or scratches... but the battery cover has some pretty good signs of wear. the silver trim around the lens also has some wear if you look closely but the camera cover does not have anything

for times when I dont have my Otterbox Defender case on it (rare), I have a Skinomi body skin protector on it and the Martin Fields screen+camera protector!
Full body coverage x2! the Martin Fields camera lens protector fits PERFECTLY, and from my own before/after experience, doesn't cause any visible distortion.

Review: Incipio Watson wallet case

First Impressions:
The case comes in two parts. There's the jacket part that has a front flap with a leather texture, and the hard plastic part that can detach from the jacket. The front flap does not have a magnet, it simply just folds over the front of the phone, so there's no problem with interference.
The detachable plastic case feels like any regular plastic case. There's a small lip on the front so if you place your phone face down on a flat surface your screen won't scratch. The back of the case provides little camera protection as it sits flush with the lens.
However, once you put the jacket part on, it adds a little bit of thickness allowing the lens to sit in a small pocket.
The jacket part of the case has a thinner plastic base that bends slightly, but does not feel overly flimsy. The flap is attached by a stitching on the back of the case and seems to be well constructed. Along with the flap, the inside of the plastic case is covered by a suede type of felt which protects the two plastic cases from rubbing against each other. The flap has three card slots built into it. However, if you have cards in all three slots, I found that it added significant overall thickness when the case is closed.
The cutouts on the case are perfect! I didn't have any trouble accessing any of the buttons or pulling out the S-Pen.
My main problem with this case is the price. It cost my fiancee about $43 with tax from the AT&T store. Coming from a $10 Spigen Bounce case, it's quite a price difference.
Overall, I give this case an 8.5/10.
The price of this case is a bit hard to swallow, but otherwise, it's a great case so far.
I'll update this review once i've had more time to use it. Thanks for reading!
Thanks for the review. That looks like just the type of case I'm looking for. Does it remove from the "jacket" pretty easily? I imagine there needs to be a balance between not being cumbersome to remove, but sturdy enough to stay put. I have been concerned about getting a wallet type case since I dock my phone when I drive. This looks like just the solution. Would like to see if I can save a few bucks, though. That is more than I have spent on my last 10 cases combined (I'm cheap).
The removal of the case from the jacket requires a little effort, but it's not terribly hard to take apart. It's got a good balance to it, it's not just going to come apart while in your pocket or while you're using it.
is there any auto wake/sleep lock function with the case?
No there's not, the jacket detaches easily but the hard plastic does not

I had this case for a smaller phone and could never get it to stand up like a kickstand like you have in one of your pictures. How sturdy is everything when you have it propped up like that?
I got one also and im digging it so far especially the taking it apart and still having a case on it. Playing Real Racing with the flap attached is just a pain sometimes. Although I used my company discount thru VZW and got mine for 25 and some change. I get a 35% discount on accessories from VZW.
Also how flush is the camera without the outer shell? Does it touch the table when it is only in the plastic shell?

Cracked Poetic case

I've loved my Poetic case, it's a real winner in my opinion, but last night, sitting on the couch, I felt a rough corner and on examination found the plastic had cracked and fell off in my hand.
I've never dropped my tablet. The piece that broke off was near the speaker and it's relatively thin there.
I sent in for an RMA, hopefully they will just replace it.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Only issue I have with the case is it would be nice if it had a 2nd hole for the camera on the front so when the front is folded all the way back you could still take pics.

You can do this hole itself. It's not so hard.
Find some pen or ballpoint which one have metallic body and this body is with needed diameter. unscrew the body to pieces. Now take off the case, place on some cutting board. Measure the correct place where the hole must be and measure again three times. Take the small hammer and with this metal body make the hole, hammering once or twice. It cuts good hole.
Actually i'm not familiar with this case material but for some materials you can heat the pen metal body.
And yes, you can use any small metal pipe which size is for you needs.

Having trouble with Spigen case(s)

The trouble is that while the bottom and sides provides a nice grip, the top glass bevel edge protrudes over the side edge of the Spigen case.
Thus, unlike some other cases of my other phones, placing the phone face down (or even a mild drop from 1 inch height) causes the glass to touch hard surface.
Apart from full Otterbox, is there a rubber or silicone skin that would also provide a small lip OVER the glass face, not a complete 2nd screen protector or skin completely over the front glass ?
I have the Spigen Rugged Armor case. On the top and bottom of the phone, there is a lip so that if you lay the phone face down, it's being supported by those two lips. This is much like any case you'd find on a Galaxy S7 Edge.
I have the Spigen Neo Hybrid and the Liquid Crystal and both have a lip at the top and bottom that keeps the screen off the surface when you lay it screen down.
I have a Spigen Hybrid. Sides of the case allow me to use the phone's edges, but it has a lip at the top and bottom, that even with a glass protector on gives me enough clearance to place the phone on the table face down. And I do this all the time, as when you place the phone face down on a surface, the proximity sensor shuts down the screen until you lift the phone back up again.
I've always loved Spigen cases. But all of their V30 cases have reduced profiles on the front sides, I'm assuming due to the curved glass. Since the V30 doesn't have active edges (like the S8), I fail to see the benefit other than aesthetic. And of course there is less edge to help protect the screen in a fall. A lot of the V30 cases are designed this way, but not all of them. I'm using the Tech21 Evo Check, which has a raised lip all around the screen.
Spigen Rugged Armor case has lips to prevent screen from touching surfaces when placed face down. It is a really good case. Only drawback for me, which might be for cases in general for the V30, is the fact that any dust from your pocket will sit inside the lip at the bottom of the case.
This might just be mine but I've also found that there is a tiny slit at the bottom of the phone where dust and dirt can get into, its visible as well, makes the phone luck yucky at the bottom.
I'm at work now but will try and post a picture of what I mean later on.
