Every restart loads factory default home screen - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Questions & Answers

New Samsung tab S3 running Nova launcher. Every time I restart the tab, it loads the factory default home screen with all the apps I don't use. How do I get it to remember my home screen?
Thanks

Go to settings and then apps. Chose from the menu (three dots) standard apps. There you can set the standard homescreen.

Wow I had this on my old SE C510 phone. Same UI but I doubt it will work OK in gingerbread ROM's cuz of the laggy sensor. Cool share though.

System setting issue

Hi,i just performed a factory reset on my sgs2 , i have hydrogen rom before the reset i could change the transition effects of the menu and the home screen through the rom control settings but after reset the options dont seem to be there. I tried searching but could not find the options anywhere.It is not only the transitions setting some options are also missing like removing the permanent search bar on home screen.
Please help.
Thanks in advance
Try reflashing the rom? I'm sure its easier and faster than finding how to push it to the phone.

Usually the transition effects are under the launcher settings. I don't know which launcher you are using. I use apex launcher and here are my transition effects:

[Q] Landscape home screen?

So, I have this unpowered, universal dock. When I put my phone in it, landscape, obviously it does not rotate the home or application selection screen. How do I get landscape on the Note 2? When launching apps, it rotates properly. I'm used to my Droid X in the factory car dock that rotates the home screen and application selection screen.
There are apps that will lock your homescreen landscape for you. play store rotate

Darn XDA won't let me post links, but search for Rotation Locker by madmack on the Google Play Store.
It worked for me on my Note 2. When you start up the app, press and hold the "auto" option and it will run in the background.
Nova always rock solid for me.

Hidden apps to display

Hello guys! #firstpost
When I was fiddling (usually) with my Redmi Note 8, I was noticing there are some apps that seem accessible, yet can't be seen on home screen (MIUI 12.0.5.0 currently).
I'll show you:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I dunno why they're not displayed on home screen. I've sort of heard that they actually can't (I dunno if it's true).
So I come here asking for a solution, if possible.
Those are system apps, they aren’t supposed to be accessible.

Some system apps arent displayed pn the home screen, depends on the manufacturer.
Plus some system apps are just proccesses or vital system apps which cannot be opened.

Are you using a different launcher? Those options are not available when pixel launcher is not set as default.
Don't think it's shows if you are not running stock launcher. I just checked. It's there with stock but but with Nova.
