After messed up flash: Redmi Note SE gets no Signal and more - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hey Guys,
I made a mess. Yesterday i tried again to unlock my Bootloader the official way, but without success. Because i tried this for several weeks, I was so frustrated that finaly used the unofficial method with the changed emmc_appsboot and the MiFlash with a Global Stable Rom.
Now the drama began. Because I'm stupid as f*** , I used Kenzo Rom and not the Kate Rom. After that the Phone couldn't detect the Sim Card, the Wifi, Bluetooth and booted repeatedly. After reading a lot of Tutorials through the night, I was able to get a stable Rom, an recovered EFS, my IMEI back and a detected Sim Card.
But my Note won't get any Connection from the Sim Card. It always says 'no service' and I can't update the Rom through the Updater, also the region is stuck on China and I can't change that.
The Rest works fine. I can install apps, write Mails and so on. But the most important thing doesn't work and I can't think of anything else to do.
I attached some Screenshots from my Phone and the Tutorials I used.
I still got TWRP and Root on the phone.
It would be really great if you guys can help me

the only way is by reflashing the efs(modem via fast boot) if you are not aware of such things just flash latest fastboot rom via mi flash tool..

Already tried flashing latest fastboot. Still had problems like missing Sim or missing IMEI.
Thought about flashing an Mod with new Kernel and TWPR. Could this fix the problem?

I believe that too, but i got an Kate Version. Flashing Kenzo Rom is what brought me here in the first place.

My bad flash
reflash a earlier kate rom and let it update to the current version. I did what you did (wrong rom flash) and it gradually fully restored itself to fully working via updates

I did it! The phone is working perfctly again!
Here is how i did it:
- I flashed the newest Global Rom in EDR Mode (this time the right one)--> still no signal
- Then I tried to unlock the bootloader but still had the 99% Problem
- I made an backup from the whole phone trough the ADB commands
- Then I unlocked the bootloader the unofficial way
- after that I flashed the correct Modemst1, Modemst2 and FSG files through fastboot ("fastboot flash modemst1 modemst1" and
so on
- then i rebooted the device
- now Miui wanted a password to start the device
- so I made a factory reset and rebooted again
- now everything worked (signal etc.)
- then I installed TWRP and made an backup from the whole device again (extra backup of the Modem and EFS)
- Then I flashed my device again with the MIFlash Tool and rebooted the device
- Everything still worked, Bootloader is locked again and I can get the normal updates
Now I try to unlock the bootloader offically. If it works, great. If not, it's ok. I will never again unlock it unofficially . Too much problems.
I got the correct Modemst and FSG files from someone here so I don't think that I'm allowed to put the link up here.
Thank you all for your support

Broken phone - No SIM card and wifi detecion

Hi,
so recently i wanted to restore stock kernel and that's why I used MiFlash.
I did it, but now the problem is that there's something wrong with the phone.
I have TWRP installed, but the phone doesn't work right.
After it boots up eventually (after few soft reboots) I can't do anything.
On MIUI ROM i can't get past the configuration menu as it requires a SIM card or wifi to activate, where both don't work.
Now I've got AOSP 5.1.1 on the phone, but there's the same problem. Also most of the apps aren't working, such as settings, phone etc.
After few minutes the phone reboots by itself.
Any idea how to fix it?
Edit: I've fixed wifi and reboots. The only thing that is not working is Sim card. No imei and baseband is detected (probably wiped efs).

Yeah, I flashed AOKP based on MM (CM kernel - didn't lock the bootloader).
But few things didn't work and I wanted to get back to 5.1.1
Edit: I guess I've lost my IMEI semehow, right?

Yes imei is lost, you can only flash MM based ROMs now (if you didn't backup efs of lollipop)
try this if u had previous lollipop backup https://youtu.be/I-3sVZAEXjQ

I can't believe it.
I fixed it.
The key to restoring imei was the qcn file, which was currupted in my phone.
I used this one (without editing hex): https://app.box.com/s/6mwo0n8qhi1nmmnpz0hrbmmqy0jyszr4
Try this
1.)Flash CM13 again.
2.)Unlock bootloader.

Official CM13 SNAPSHOT 20160816 big issues on RN3SD

I got no front facing camera nor fingerprint scanner and i haven't even gone deep. I wiped everything but sd card and otg, flashed the official snapshot rom from here http://get.cm/?device=kenzo, i tried with flashing gapps then without flashing gapps, same result, boots fine, no front facing camera nor fingerprint scanner, when i try to setup a pin for unlock it says force closes settings.
Did u flashed the cm13 firmware in the post 2 of xda link??
egarding the unavailability of the front facing camera, i didn't manage to solve it. Here's what i did step by step :
1. Downloaded the latest Fastboot Global ROM from en.miui for my phone
Downloaded the Mi Flash tool
Flashed the device with the option "Flash all"
Flashing went completely fine
Booting into miui 7 stable
2. Unlocking the Bootloader with Mi unlocker
The bootloader was unlocked with success.
3. *here i probably did a mistake* Flashing twrp 3.0.M4-0 ( found in post #2 ) with adb command promt which resulted in a success, at least in the cmd, as when i went to verify the twrp there was no such thing. Downloaded Flasher Toolkit v1.05 from this post http://en.miui.com/thread-296053-1-1.html and followed the instructions, going for option 4. Gone thru the whole setup, doing everything it asked me to do but flashing SuperSU, TWRP 3.0.2.2 was installed successfully. Then i went back to adb cmd and flashed the twrp in post #2 which again done with success.
4. Going to TWRP>Wipe>Factory reset. Putting the needed files to flash for the official cm13 snapshot, including the rom itself, gapps nano and cm firmware. I first flashed the CM Firmware, then the ROM and lastly the gapps. Oh, when i entered TWRP it also asked me to make system modifiable or something, usual stuff.
5. Booted into the CM13 ( what i noticed is that right after the MI logo the screen has flashed with a blue color for a fraction of a second then the CM logo appeared ). Apps were loading, finished the loading process and went into the setup. Everything fine, no errors, FP working, device is stable, no FCs, everything is fine but the front facing camera, which really doesn't want to work.
I also tried in the first rom i flashed which was the miui 7 global flashed thru fastboot to check if there was an hardware issue but the front facing camera worked well and sharp.
Please find a fix for this, it's really frustating to know you have a basic functionality not working and all the others to be fine. I'm trying to flash now the Resurrection ROM to see if there's any change. Wish me luck.

Sorry bro. You just got an unlucky device. You've got to give up on cm13. I know it's hard with MIUI sucking hard but what can you do? It may be solved one day but that won't be any time soon because the main developer doesn't have the same device as you.
No "fix" would solve the problem - there aren't any! But just try santosh's cm13 once. Maybe it will work? Who knows.

Santosh's works as i said, but Santosh's ROM got a different firmware and therefore you can't apply any custom Kernel over it, that's why i moved to the official. Atm i'm using the official, luckily i'm not addicted to selfies, but it's still a pity that it doesn't work. I'll still look forward for patches, maybe one patch will solve it, i've contacted already cyanogenmod and today im gonna do an adb log to send a ticket to the devs.

Phone was unlocked but Chinese models don't have FRP Lock so I couldn't turn it off. The FRP lock appeared when the Chinese oeminfo was replaced with the European one and suddenly also the bootloader was locked again.
But I have a feeling that I forgot to turn on USB debugging when flashing using that guide on forum...
Anyway maybe DC Phoenix is my last option before sending it to Huawei to reflash OS. Apparently that tool can flash over locked bootloader and FRP.
Does anybody know how it works and if there is a free alternative?

Did you select the correct oeminfo for your firmware? STF-L09C10 is the Russian one and STF-L09C432 is the European one.
Also, did you remember to boot into recovery (volume up + power button) and select the option to clear your data after the rebrand?
You might still be able to boot into recovery and try a reset, but I'm not sure if that will help.

I selected the C432. And I remembered to wipe out the internal storage and data after the rebrand. I honestly don't know what went wrong (besides not having USB debugging turned on).
I also tried to boot into recovery but only the first message appears. In the end I think there is no recovery at all (or is corrupted)...
But it's funny how those security features meant to protect the phone in the end make it harder to recover.
Try to reflash Boot.IMG , Recovery.IMG via ADB in Fastboot mode and SYSTEm.IMG in TWRP.. (On your own risk)... maybe it will work....

Accidentally Wiped Everything with TWRP

Hello xdadevelopers,
I recently bought myself the Poco F1 and tried to follow LTT's guide on how to make the Poco F1 like a Pixel, but I accidentally wiped everything (by going into additional settings and clicking every box). I can still access TWRP, but can't seem to install the custom rom (errors).
Is there anything I can do to continue with the process of making my phone like a pixel? I'm still a major novice in this so if possible, please use layman terms.
Thanks a lot,

Hi,
I recently did the same but on purpose. This was advised in the Syberia OS ROM installation instructions. https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/development/rom-syberia-project-t3862622
You might want to try that(format data, install newest vendor+firmware etc) and then try to install a custom ROM.

The best thing that you can do is flash the latest fastboot stock ROM available. It'll reset the phone to as if it was new and also lock the bootloader. But you can unlock it back without the waiting time this time.

That't not fastboot flashable file, genius. You are trying to flash the full ROM file. Download the fastboot file which comes in .tgz format. Extract it twice and you will get the main file. Once you extract the file, you would see the file name has a lot of "underscore" (_) marks See the attached screenshot). Moreover, you didn't mention what errors are you getting on TWRP while trying to flash the custom ROM. When creating a thread, try to include as much information possible, i you want someone to understand your problem and help you accordingly. Or else, you are just adding up thread counts.

LOL! All stock fastboot ROMs are compatible on MiFlash tool. It doesn't matter which version it is as long as it is fastboot flashable and you know how to extract and place it in the correct place.

Yeah but from what I can see on this is just a normal firmware and has to be updated thru twrp or settings.
But that older version has a fastboot version to flash idk though.

Actually the tool is able to flash a full fastboot factory image, so it will also flash the stock recovery, the problem is the arb, the tool is unable to read the arb version and if the rom can be flashed or not, so before flash it you should be sure you are flashing the right rom
For example would it work to flash Global 10.2.2 also to restore the stock recovery, or any considering that now I am rooted + twrp on custom rom? Been also on latest MIUI versions bit want to regain my stock again.
