Tested the latest release, everything works fine. Fluidity is on point and memory management isn't an issue.
This is rather a personal request, but could you incorporate https://www.xda-developers.com/latest-gov-tuner-project-update-reduces-code-size-by-70/ into the next update?

0.6.0 (17/10/2016)
- Rebased on 3.10.73 (NBD90W). I discovered a memory leak issue and I decided to drop the latests Linux kernel versions.
- Changed default governor to ondemand for both clusters. Conservative governor also has an issue and in some cases doesn't drop the frequency fast enough. I recommend you to not use it until I'll find a solution.
- ondemand: Improved the load calculation when the timer is deferred.
- ondemand: A couple of bug fixes from mainline.
0.5.0 (05/10/2016)
- cpufreq: Introduce touch boost tunables to ondemand and conservative
ondemand:
touch_load: the virtual load that governor "sees" when there is a touch in the screen (default value 70).
touch_load_duration: the duration in ms that the touch_load is effective after the touch (default value 1000ms).
touch_load_threshold: the real load threshold. Loads greater than this threshold will trigger the touch boost (default value 10).
conservative:
touch_load_duration: the duration of touch boost (default value 1000ms). When there is a touch in the screen the freq_step tunable will be double if there governor must increase the frequency.
- minor changes in initramfs from upstream (NBD90W)
0.4.0 (27/09/2016)
- cpufreq: ondemand: Eliminate the deadband effect
- cpufreq: Break out early when frequency equals target_freq
- Added conservative governor
0.3.0 (07/09/2016)
- Merge Android Nougat kernel patches (up to NRD90S)
- Merge Linux kernel v3.10.103
- Mount data partition as encryptable
0.2.0 (11/08/2016)
- Merge Linux kernel versions v3.10.74 - v3.10.102
- Apply patch for CVE-2016-5340 (CodeAurora)
0.1.0 (08/08/2016)
- Initial release
- built with Linaro gcc 4.9 201602
- enabled O2 optimizations
- clear a couple of configuration

With 5x thats another issue that plagues users here...So would be great if you can look into it and find a solution to tackle it...Cos most of the users here like me are non encrypted...so forced encryption is a pain
Wow! Glad to see you here, old friend. Wish you can make one for stock Marshmallow as well, since I don't use the N preview. In any case, welcome!

If you flash SuperSU imediately after you flash the kernel (without letting your device reboot), you should stay unencrypted

- First, sorry for another update lol
- @SAO and @farovitus notified me the kernel is slow on read speed. I was thinking about it and then it came into my mind that a linux update broke the read speed too on the s8. So this linux patch is now reverted and you should definitly feel a big difference in performance!

Changelog IronKernel V1.1.1:
- Disabled schedtune/schedutil governor thanks to @Noxxxious for the tipp. It has been said that it decreases batterylife
- Fixed selective focus on s8/s8+, background: the n8 uses a new dualcamera setup, after some researches I still thought we could fix it all in libs, but then even with all correct libs selective focus wasn't working on the s8/s8+. That's why I decided to use the s8 source code for the camera, and vala it works perfectly now
Changelog IronKernel V1.1.2:
- Updated linux to most recent 4.4.96
- S8/S8+ specific changes:
- Updated camera binaries to latest AQJ1

- Enabled dex for all hdmi connectors, thanks to kbarni (please test if it works fine)
Android File Host did still not apply the device request for the N8, so I decided to give you two choices (till they are ready).
1. Like before, download via grifo development thread
2. As second choice via devdb from XDA
As soon as android file host is ready I'll delete the files from here and upload them there :good:

Infos about a Rom:
Yes I am working on a rom for the N8, that's a fact
It will take quite a while until it is adapted with a new design for IronMan (all icons, banners, animations need to be redone). Also all mods need to be reworked on the N8 UI.
Plus last but not least I want to release the rom for S8/S8+ too so we also need to fix all camera related problems (due to the fact the n8 has an updated camera).
All this will take time but as said above, a rom is coming! :highfive:
So stoke that you're here Luca! Looking forward to your ROM.
boot loop on N8 N version running renovate
Same here, bootloop
Last night tried v1.0.2
And today v.1.0.4
And nothing, fortunately - bootloop on n8.
Thanks author and glad to see you here, can't wait your rom

Kernel is amazingly smooth and battery friendly. I know feature requests are frowned upon and I obviously don't want to cause performance/battery issues for a feature but could you include high brightness.... For those of us that work on the road it's really handy. No biggie if that's not in the cards.

[EOL] SmartPack [Kernel] GCC 9.x for Oxygen OS [Oreo/Pie] [OP5/5T]

This project is now "End-of-Life" (EOL). Thanks to all of you for the kind support...
/* Introduction */
Proudly presenting my work, SmartPack-Kernel for OnePlus 5/5T (cheeseburger/dumpling) running stock (both Stable & Open Beta) Oxygen OS.
Please note: This is a close-to-stock kernel with very few yet useful features developed by various developers within this community (They deserve all the credits, please see the Acknowledgements). If you are looking for a more feature rich kernel with several tweaks and mods and also supports other custom ROMs, you might be disappointed.

this kernel support "Fix TTL " function?
Will you update it for the new 5.1.5 that's treble now, so I don't know if your current version would work properly (wifi modules... on it or on the Open beta 14 as it's also a treble version.

Will you update it for the new 5.1.5 that's treble now, so I don't know if your current version would work properly (wifi modules... on it or on the Open beta 14 as it's also a treble version.

Sure. I just saw some updates in the oneplus kernel source regarding the treble support. I'll surely update the kernel once I got the 5.1.5 in my hand. Regarding the open beta, I will try to provide a separate kernel when next open beta available (not the current versions).
Edit: Just received new oos update (5.1.5) and running new Kernel version (beta-v2). Will update after some testing...
SmartPack-Kernel beta-v2 for OOS 5.1.5

Thanks for the updates.
Well, everything works as it should, i like all the features included.
only one thing: I feel the UI a bit laggy compared to stock or other kernels like Render. But just a tiny bit.
Also, is there any chance for adding an EAS version like in renderkernel?

Hi, Thanks for the feedback and nice to know that you like it. If you use SMartPack-Kernel Manager (my own modified version of KA), you will get an option to select performance profile (default is balanced). It will significantly increase the cpu input boost duration and hopefully remove the lag.
Regarding the EAS, I'm not sure at this moment. I have to check the Render Kernel source to know the possibilities.
SmartPack-Kernel Manager/Looking for a tester...
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a tester (who should be on latest Open Beta) to check a new version of Smartpack-Kernel Manager. Which basically allow you to directly download and flash proper kernels for stable (tested by myself)/Open Beta (need more testing) respectively. If anybody willing, please pm me or contact me on Telegram.
Thanks in advance...
Have a nice day...
SmartPack-Kernel beta-v4/v4-OB
Hi all,
New versions of SmartPack-Kernel for stable OOS 5.1.5 (beta-v4) & latest Open Beta 15 (beta-v4-OB) are now available.
Changes
Update Linux Kernel version to 4.4.154 (credits: @nathanchance).
Switch toolchain into latest (GCC-8.2.1).
Add control over Min Display Backlight (control available in SmartPack-Kernel Manager).
Merged several patches from CAF & Upstream (for cpufreq, iosched etc).
Add OS check to anykernel script so that it won't be installed in non-treble and other un-supported android versions.
Download links (separate builds for Stable & Open Beta) can be found at the below link. You may also specifically download and flash the new Kernel version within few clicks from the SmartpPack-Kernel Manager as well (it will download the correct version depends on your OS, that is stable or Open Beta). Enjoy...

Although I haven't add a "stable" tag, it should be stable as that of the stock kernel. So, feel free to try it. It doesn't harm you as long as you have a working backup.
So, the main difference between this and the original kernel?
