J320AZ got a July update as well

Yeah and if you are running a Samsung Galaxy Express Prime SM-J320A, do not download it, it will make your phone so slow it is almost unusable at times. And if you do update, rolling back is nearly impossible as I am finding out. I softbricked my phone with all these false ROMS and fixes, let alone all the links and sites and youtube videos that take you to spam and Trojans, never seen so much false information and still unable to use my phone. So frustrating!!!
Jim

I was able to fix my phone Samsung Galaxy Express Prime 16GB AT&T GoPhone using odin3_v3.11.1 flashing the 4 files found in this zip file J320AUCU3BQI5 from https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j3-2016/development/odin-j320a-j320az-links-t3631914 checking the box to Re-Partition using Windows 10 driver SAMSUNG Electronics Co., Ltd Date 8/24/2016 version 2.12.4.0 Device Description SAMSUNG Mobile USB Composite Device

Official KitKat?

I don't think this is true, but well you never know, was reading this page and it's says official will be in Feb-March?

Unfortunately I think you're only reading what you want to hear. The Note 1 is no longer supported. It will not receive an official update anymore. The page you link to is referring to a custom rom based on android 4.4 kit kat. Check out this link. It says what samsung devices will be getting the update and when.
Here's the gist of it:
First Batch of Recipients
Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 are expected to get Android 4.4 KitKat firsthand and will directly benefit from various new system enhancements and improvements.
Second Batch of Recipients
After Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 received their updates, two former flagship devices will follow - the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2
Excluded Devices
Sadly, there are several popular devices too excluded from Android 4.4 KitKat update and it includes Galaxy S2, Galaxy S, Galaxy Note 1, Galaxy S2 Mini and Galaxy Minis. Due to the 18-month update window strictly followed by manufacturers, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S and Galaxy Note 1 are unable to receive any further updates but owners may resort to custom ROMs to get latest features. Galaxy Minis are unable to receive such upgrades due to hardware issues or incompatibility to the upcoming version of TouchWiz UI.
Sorry for the bad news.

Samsung galaxy note 4 demo unit

Hi all brand new to the site go easy on me. I have been given a Samsung galaxy note demo unit, I know it cant be used as an actual phone but it make a decent mini tablet. I don't know where I can find the rom to get rid of all the demo stuff on it they take almost 15gb up. If anyone knows where I can get the stock firmware it be a huge help. Thanks
see if it can be booted in download mode (for galaxy s4 that's with home button and volume-down) and check out sammobile.com

The Verge reporting that Samsung about to recall all Note 7's

http://www.theverge.com/2016/9/1/12759912/samsung-galaxy-note-7-recall
I always had the thought that Samsung rushed the Note 7 so they can better focus on the S8 lineup which'll actually be a huge game changer compared to S7E and Note 7. Does anyone know what would likely happen to rooted device if this recall does happen?

Believe they will just exchange any Note 7 on the spot with your receipt, dun think will go through your phone. They do not have time to do that after angering all their users.
Let’s forget the promo of the new Gear VR and the MicroSD card 256GB for the owners the previous Galaxy Note range ...... Let’s forget that I should have to receive the Note 7 three days before the official release ... Let’s forget that for 11 days my pre-order was stuck in limbo in an order development phase.....
After this I call the Call Center .... arrogant, overbearing, without the slightest empathy ... they tell me that I will receive a refund within 7 days if I cancel my order, because no one knows to tell you when the Note 7 will be available, then I receive an email confirmation That I canceled my order and… surprise surprise: "the credit to your account may take up to 14 days".
All in all I'm lucky, because my girlfriend bought it through the bank, and she already paid the first instalment ... and surprise surprise AGAIN..... The Call Center says to her: "You have to have patience, you have to wait" For HOW LONG?
Finally I with the Galaxy S7 Edge Galaxy Note 5 am done with SAMSUNG, I had all the Galaxy S line, the entire Galaxy Note line…...
But the Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 5 were my LAST SAMSUNG products.
All this being said, anyone from Europe, in fact worldwide let’s join forces on social media and shame them.

MirrorShare major bug, Android 7 and Samsung smart TV

Hello, when projecting anything from my phone to Samsung Smart TV, only the upper half of the screen is rendered correctly. The lower half is scrambled/green , pixelated and full of artifacts, no matter the phone is in portrait or landscape.
My Smart TV is flawless with Mate 7, Samsung Tab S 10.5 or Asus Zenfone 6 when using Mirror Share.
Previously on Marshmallow 6.0 MirrorShare worked without problems with my Huawei P9plus .
On my friend's Huawei P9plus, identical with mine and with similar Samsung smart TV, the problem is absolutely the same.
Huawei, please fix this major problem as soon as possible.
My phone : VIE-L09C432B360, unrooted.
Have you found a solution to this? Mine does the same and I can't find a similar topic anywhere else. It's very annoying as worked perfectly before
I hope Huawei read this forum and make things working properly. Don't try to mess your phone/root/reset , at least I don't. If Huawei want to be number three, two or the best brand in smartphone industry they must read and solve customers complaints. Sadly, every brand have some (major) flaws, for me Huawei is the best compromise. Until...
PS: I had a problem with mirror sharing (Huawei Mate 7, veeery slow speed, almost unusable ) in the past but it was resolved after the last update and now it works okay .
Huawei, please do your homework properly to be number one !
Easy come, easy go and upset clients sometimes don't come back.
Mine is VIE-L29C636B370 currently.
Tried on my Samsung (Smart)TV for MirrorShare feature and does not seem to have issues.
There's around half second to one second delay in pushing the display to the TV though. "Seemingly" slower than before update (because I never really measured the time previously).
Then is a bug for single sim international version VIE-L09C432B360. Before Nougat, on Marshmallow my P9plus mirror share function was without issues(I used it frequently) . Now I have to use my Samsung Tab S 10.5 tablet for mirror sharing so please Huawei do your homework and respect your clients, I paid 700 Euros last year in July for your product.
After last update to android 7 my mirrorShare feature is casting the screen to a samsung tv with half of the screen is totally green . Before the update everything was working fine.
I search the case and found many people asking the same question with no answers yet. Any Help ?
Sadly after yesterday's update to B370 (from B360) mirror share is the same, flawed with half screen bug.
Huawei, please fix this major problem, please !
+1
Discover the same bug in my p9 B386
Actually hostpot (wifi share) don't work

Any resolution guyz ?
Huawei don't care about us. Probably this is my last new, full price Huawei "flagship" smartphone.
Same problem on an Honor 8 with Android 7
+1 P9 B386
I wonder if this problem exist on P10/plus, Mate 9 or other newer Huawei phones.
Updated to B376 today (OTA) but the bug still here.
Probably my next phone will be another brand, Sony Xperia or...
I've got a P9 and a Mediapad M3 and only shows to top of the screen as well while connecting to Samsung tv. A Galaxy Tab3 doesn't have this problem.
Same problem with my huawei P9, running B391 firmware!

The same problem...I thought it was just a samsung bug..:crying:
+1 same problem Huawei P9 Plus, latest Nov 2017 update VIE-L09C432B378 talking to a 2013 Samsung Fully Patched HD SmartTV. Annoying.
same prob in vie-l29c185b390 march
well done huawei ...................................................
I thought I was the only one with this kind of issue. It's really annoying because I always use mirrorsharing! I went back to were I bought it since I thought that the problem was the unit. They changed it with a brand new phone but the mirroshare still won't work!
