Phone supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. The former does very well, the latter is of course limited severely by range. My biggest gripe is I cannot find a way to disable the 5 GHz network discovery.

It would be difficult without rooting your L1.

good wifi range
In terms of WiFi range, I can say with the stock it's not bad at all, very comparable to better than what I was getting with my Moto G 2014. I can pick up my house WiFi from about 1/2 a city block away on the average, and have used it to connect to McDonalds WiFi across a 6 lane road (roughly 150' from the building).
It doesn't change much with the CM13 ROMS either...
Decent range haven't had problems
Wifi sometimes disconnects though.
No problems with the strength
Haven't feel the WiFi disconnection but still not the best as it doesn't support 801 ac band.
wifi strength is pretty good..no drop
Stays connected all the time.
good wifi range.
No problems with wifi.

We need another thread. Bluetooth range - it totally SUCKS!!! The connection is dropped even when you turn your back at the phone. No problem with the same headphones and Xperia Z3 / Z2.
Don't have 5GHz wifi

Very good wifi transmission
For me when it comes to wifi, the ability for the phone to transmit your request back to the router is as important as the coverage from wifi. With my Mi Max 2, even with the minimum bar wifi coverage (around 15-20m from router and a couple brick walls along the way) I am still able to surf the net.

Mainly its okay. I think the wifi range is okay and its speeds are great. Buffering may occur as i noticed from too much ads but if u use adblockers it's perfect

Wifi is constantly changing Networks, when you have 3 networks stored and in your vicintity. Managing the network order doesn't give the required stability.
In your case cover you have to maintain a certain position to obtain weak signals; whether up, down, portrait or landscape. Needs a better antenna mod internally.
Why isn't Google connecting, when it says that the wyfy is on?
