The camera is AWESOME if you use it correctly. It isn't intuitive, I will admit, but once you figure it out it is a breeze to take pictures worthy of a frame.

it doesnt perform well in low_light but good photos overall in a price vs quality comparison but certainly not a phone specifically for photography

i've been pleasantly surprised with how good it looks in good lighting. massive upgrade over the moto e2, which was my wife's previous phone.

I think the camera is pretty average. Not bad, not terrible though. Definitely not super good in low light at all, but good brightness and you can get a little bit of quality out of it. 3/5

For the cost of this phone, I'd say the camera is fantastic...

Agree, sometimes it's oversaturated, but it produces nice colour in overall.

Not good. Gets a little weird.
Moto G5 takes good shots, I compared it to the Moto G4 and it's way more sharp. Contrast is ok. Low light, not bad for the price. Struggles to focus sometimes though. I also compared it to the G4 plus, and the latter is much better, you can really see the difference.
So, to sum it up, pretty decent camera for the price.
The pictures it takes are okay for an inexpensive phone, but the images are not particularly sharp, and the HDR mode isn't very natural looking.
Clicking burst shots

To be honest, I'm not disappointed, but they could've done better. With the G6 Play. Because my G5, is better in every way, so at the end of the day, whats the point of a G6 Play?
The camera shots are decent for a cheap phone (got it for £35 with speaker issues, fixed already =] ) the camera is exactly the same as the G6 Play if not better. The colours look more natural, sharp and clear on the 1080p IPS display, and the device feels more premium due to the metal backplate.

Its OK.
I can compare with Huawei P9 Lite, and Moto g5 shoots much better selfies.
I Think that is good. Nothing from other Worlds.
Wide angular shot. Average colours and good definition at daylight, but gets very blurry and noisy in interiors -even when there is good light-. I know this isnt related with the camera quality, but it gets somewhat slow when using face-filters in Snapchat and Instagram. Overall, i think its a good camera, but it has its flaws.
I leave here an example of interior selfie with movement. If you zoom in, you can see the noise at the background wall, the blurry hand, and the low quality texture/ low definition in the gray pullover and hair.

Photo quality is flat out amazing.
Mind-blowing output. Day by day my love towards my device increasing.
As expected really good.

photo quality is really good.
extraordinary good.
Wide aperture mode is fantastic.
Folks, post some pictures in full resolution.I will post later today. For me,camera is good but Honor 9 and P10 have a better cameras.
Can't get blur effect in aperture or portrait mode after oreo update. Also image quality have decreased. Very poor from Huawei development team.

Hello. I'll make it quick. In good lightning the selfies are sharp but over exposed, HDR doesn't seems to work well, makes the shadows too dark. In evening light or artificial light its hit or miss. 80% of the photos looks shaky and heavily over exposed but when it hits its good apart from the exposure. Also the front facing LED is a good to have and use
