HUAWEI Y6 II - Please, we need a ROM - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This is a request for a ROM for y6 II. There is a large community of users of this terminal that are serching for this. Unfortunately, a lot of us don't know anything of cooking a rom. So this is a call for any development who could make the research. I hope someone could give us a ROM. Because this terminal could be really great with a ROM.
Thanks.

Every Rom for the Huawei P8 Lite works on Huawei Y6 II because it has the same hardware, and there's a huge variety of ROMs like MIUI, Flyme and AOSP

Hi Chris my name is Andrew and i might be able to give you some basic info and guidelines. First i would suggest using a ROM kitchen for basic ROM modding. I would recommend using Dsixda's ROM kitchen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246 .When you feel confident that you can get on tothe more complex stuff you can check my tutorial about compiling from source code http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667551 .After you get over that then the Internet should become your mentor in advanced source code editing (most of the time anyway but you shouldn't feel shy about asking something if unclear)

Help required for making Android Custom ROM

Hi,
I am a noob to Android development because I am just venturing out of Bada development, even though I will continue to develop Bada
I have decided that the ROM will be made for Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro
Since, me and my team of developers are new to this, we need the help of some experienced souls
I am reading and following the android custom rom guides, here at XDA
Can anyone help me in this development process?
Best Is Android KitcheN.

I think The Best Way to create a Custom Rom Fast N Easy is to Create it by Android Kitchen.
Look in the android Cook section and XDA university. Avoid kitchens. They are not for people that want to learn to develop android roms, they are basicly for noobs.
Bat cave One

What should my first Custom ROM be???

So, Im looking for some help here.
I am using the X821 version Le Max 2, and I have just recently rooted successfully. I wanted to ask for some suggestions with what custom ROM should I try out first? I suppose I am looking for a very stable ROM with theming to black capabilities. Other than that, I am open to anything, but I do need some help from some of you more seasoned or veterans in this smartphone tech game... Please leave me with some comments or suggestions for my first custom ROM to install, maybe some pros and cons or ROM specific issues if any. Thanks so much for all of your help with this question guys.

You can find all the available ROM for this device in the development section. Each one has a short introduction about what the package contains and found bugs. Nobody can really tell which one should be on your phone, It completely depends on your preferences. You need to decide what's more important to you, then make the choice. E.G. If customization is a must have feature, You might wanna go for the CM based ROMs like ResurrectionRemix, Mokee.

Porting Note FE 8.0 rom to Note 7.. need your help please!

Hi xda community!
The thing is I want to port a Note FE Oreo rom to Note 7 for our xda members since no one did.. except for SoulTeam which i found in Chinese website, it's actually working well but it's full of Chinese bloatware and limited to 48hours use with their own tweak tools wich if you disable things will randomly stop working. The big problem is they didn't put the source in github or whatsoever and they didn't reply when i contacted them for permission since they stopped developing that rom (i think).
they ported it from 8.0 N935FXXU3BRG4 base.. i have the same version but Saudi Arabia region which have very minimal bloats in a stock .tar.md5 since i couldn't find any zip files, the difference as you sure know is that Note fe is N935F while Note 7 is N930F(stopped at 6.0.1) and are basically the same device so it should be easy apart from the bootloader etc, so i'm thinking about extracting the kernel(boot.img) from SoulRom and modem and BL from my note 7 with the system from the stock note fe and make a it work somehow ?!?! , i know a lot about roms but i never actually ported a samsung rom, so if you may please guide me through the right way to do it cuz i don't want to be fooling around or if there's a guide to do so that i didn't find! (i have z3x box if that may help)
I will certainly use it for my own and test and won't share it until i get the permission of devs included and give credit, inculdin you! ^^
Ps: The iris scanner doesn't work on the soulrom and i really want to fix that, if you know what to do, flash cm.bin or modify model or sth.
Thanks!

I don't have this device but, your best bet is to post this question within one of the following threads that's specific to your device.

Good Luck!

UNLESS asked to do so, PLEASE don't PM me regarding support. Sent using The ClaRetoX Forum App on my SM-G900V device.
Thanks, but not so helping really.. i'm really looking forward to learn porting and modifying roms but i can't seem to find a guide to port Samsung stock roms specifically which what i usually own.. at least a moderated guide for Android marshmallow and newer!
I know many developers here have the knowledge but so few shares it.. unfortunately.
The only other suggestion that I have for you is the following thread...

Late reply, but yea, there's a A4, an A40 and an A42 forum. Not sure why there's no A41 forum.
and is there any Custom ROM for this model or is it better to forget it?
I was using different search engines and tried to look on 4pda russian site and some german site with no luck
i also have this model and want to root it. i've found a few sites that have a how-to but i do not trust them.
Seems like A41 and A51 are taking off here, I know at least 5 people with them, they got them last year, but yeah, not much on the techy web about it.

Are you rooted now?
It is pretty easy with Magisk.
Base thing is to have original software, that you can download from https://www.sammobile.com.
BTW:
Some folk, me included, requested to add this device to inventory but so far not much success.

I'm not rooted, I've not found a reliable guide on how to perform this. Can you please link me to one, if you have it?

It's John's stuff and he maintained it pretty smooth.

In the end I did not do this. I've gotten a new phone, sorry.
F
I drive my rooted A41 since months.
If something is not broken - don't repair it - this is my rule and I don't have time to follow all new trends.
Besides - I have other, backup Galaxy, M12, which was rooted with help of this forum, too.
How to root A41?
Reading this forum to learn.
Everything I did was taken from here and while I don't have it till hands as rooting happened months ago surely all this is here, newer software & ROM hints including.
I have built a kernel if anyone wants it @F308
Also TWRP has been developed on Telegram and waiting for testing
