Magnum Opus™ Core System module:
Below(attachments), is the arise_customize.prop file as found in the Modular Installer zip. This file will be placed in /sdcard during the first recovery install if not already existing and the installation will end with an Error 1 and its informative text print out. This step can be avoided by extracting arise_customize.prop to /sdcard, manually editing the file for desired installation build result, saving changes, and then flashing the Modular Installer zip in recovery.
- Once installed, remove the value of "true" from the "install.core=" line in /sdcard/arise_customize.prop for future recovery sessions when installing/uninstalling available modules.
- This allows for the modules to work in a "plug-and-play" fashion, otherwise, installing the Core System module again will replace audio_effects with the basic template - breaking functionality for every installed module with audio_effects entries.
Installation:
Extract and examine the contents thoroughly before beginning the sound system installation.
Dirty flash your current ROM according to ROM developer's dirty flashing instructions if any other sound mod is currently installed.
Ensure that sufficient free /system space (300MB+) is available.
Boot to recovery
Install > ARISE Sound Systems™ zip
Reboot
Uninstalling:
No uninstaller zip will be made available due to the amount of overwritten /system files.
Uninstall the A.R.I.S.E. Sound System completely by dirty flashing your current ROM according to your ROM developer's dirty flashing instructions.

[SM-G920/5FDI] NanoROM TWOSP 7.0.2 20170302 [5DQA7]

*** NanoROM 7.0.2 20170302 ****
=== See 2nd Post for ChangeLog ===
=== See 3rd Post for Kernel Settings ===
=== Disclaimer ===
Code:
This ROM is made for S6 G920F / G925F only
flash at your own risk, your warranty will be void (knox flag 0x1)
I'm not responsible if your device bricks or whatever.
=== What does TWOSP mean ===
TW = TouchWiz, OSP = Open Source Project. That's just same marketing-bull****-bingo-buzzword because this ROM contains lots of Open Source Software. Nothing serious.
=== Why yet another ROM ===
I'm one of those few users who experienced sudden random reboots after updating stock firmware after rooting their device. So the following huge text may contain a taste of drama.
No custom ROM or even Stock ROM did work for me, because PLOD(tm) (pink led of doom & Knuckles). Only working ROM is CM13, but that's lacking proper in-call mic (sometimes doesn't work) and Camera, so it's sadly a no-op.
So I was trying to figure out what goes wrong and try to build a ROM that does simply work for my device and not result in a myriad of random reboots. So here it is: my second customized stock android ROM (the first one was for some ARNOVA Tablet).
And since the ROM does now already exist, I was like:
"Hey, why not go to xda and publish it?"
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
so here I am. And maybe it will solve the issue for other users, too.
=== So what does cause those random reboots ===
I don't know exactly. No really, it's difficult to say. Next follows a list of my personal observations on my device. Other devices might behave the same or not (depending on what is wrong with the device).
So this observations might be what will help you to reduce or prevent the random reboots, but they also might not. Enough bla-bla, let's go.
What's not causing it:
xposed
supersu
user apps
Because bare stock ROM installed from KIES will do reboot randomly aswell. It's a mix of kernel (Hacker Kernel gives less than others), build.prop (stock gives less than customized), Google Apps and other bloatware. So picking out a specific issue is difficult.
I also found out that 'userspace' governor and power suspend mode improve stability across different ROMs, so this ROM does set them by default.
Of course devices that have severe hardware damage will still suffer from them, don't expect my ROM to do wonders to broken devices.
=== Why only G920F / G925F ===
Because that's the only model I own, I don't like blind support, but I added G925F kernel upon request.
There are many great multi-device ROMs outwhere to choose from.
=== GApps Vs. microG ===
This ROM allows you to choose between GApps and microG:
1. GApps
Usual Google Apps as you know them, nothing special to do.
2. microG
Open source Google Apps replacement. This ROM requires you to do the following steps prior to be able to use the Play Store:
Code:
- go to Settings > microG and activate:
- main screen:
- device check-in (for cloud messaging)
- cloud messaging (for app push messages)
- UnifiedNlp Settings:
- configure location backends:
- choose Mozilla and grant permissions
- configure address lookup backends:
- choose Nominatim
- reboot device
- enter Play Store and login as usual
- et voila: you're now on the most possible Open Source ROM for S6
(if we don't take the non-fully-functional CM13 into account)
- NOTE: if the Play Store does not show your already installed apps, or if it does
not show your purchased apps as purchased, got to Settings > Apps >
System Apps > Play Store and force stop it, then it'll properly work
- NOTE: if you get random reboots with microG: disable account sync

not included because reasons, but still cool:
Easy XKCD (F-Droid)
Overchan (F-Droid)
KeePassDroid (F-Droid)
Play Permissions (Xposed)
Play Store Changelog (Xposed)
=== Notes ===
You need to install Xposed Framework separately (not bundled)
Recommended recovery is arter97's TWRP version 3.0.2
I recommend disabling wifi during standby (that is, if you don't have mobile network active during standby) Play Store auto-updates, that usually improves stability for me
If you installed GApps: I also recommend disabling Google ads and Google app verification in Settings > Apps > Google >> Ads / >> Security (because I don't like those "features", call me a tinfoil head )
Further I recommend doing a TWRP backup after everything is setup and working fine (so that you can revert to a working state any time)
If you're on GNU/Linux, I recommend using gMtp for file transfer. ADB sometimes gives weird file permissions.
=== Issues ===
A List of issues, all minor, but I'll still look into them, if I get some time to do so:
You currently need to manually enable supplied Xposed modules (and restart your device).
Don't create a new routine in Good Lock. This triggers some bug in it that causes uninstallation and leaves you without System UI (black screen, no statusbar and launcher, etc).
? You tell me.

=== Future ===
As my goal is to get my S6 properly working, I'm not going to add new features without heavily testing them and I won't rush out any update because of a new change set.
I just wanna use my S6 properly (though I do have a Moto G 2015 aswell, but still).

Kernel Stuffz
=== Kernel Settings ===
For NanoROM you don't need tools like Synapse or Kernel Adiutor to modify kernel settings. It comes with it's own script to manage kernel settings.
/system/su.d/999kernel
=== Configuration Files ===
By default the script has three pre-set configuration files:
/system/etc/kernel/arter97.settings arter97 kernel/system/etc/kernel/hacker.settings Hacker Kernel/system/etc/kernel/stock.settings Samsung Kernel
depending on your installed kernel the correct pre-set is loaded. Your own configuration needs to go to
/system/etc/kernel/custom.settings User Settings
it will always be loaded in favour of the pre-set configurations.
If you don't want the script to do anything, create an empty file:
/system/etc/kernel/disabled.settings
and reboot, then the kernel default values will be used. Remove that file and reboot to let the script do it's work again.
=== File Format ===
The format of the configuration file is simple
Code:
option=value
for non-array values and
Code:
option=( key1 value1
key2 value2
... ... )
for array values (currently only the voltage table is an array).
=== Possible Options ===
The script covers most relevant options you might want to tweak. Note: even if the installed kernel does not support all settings, your configuration file must include all options, to ensure the script is properly working.
Thus I recommended copying over one of the pre-set configuration files and modify it to your needs. Next follows a list of possible configuration options.

I'll push an update later today, because I noticed my Synapse profile is not auto applied. It changes some settings that improve stability on buggy devices.
Depending on my time I may either provide edge hacker kernel as separate zip or digg into aroma.
Also on todo list:
- auto enable xposed mods
- auto grant root for Synapse
- update f-droid

Hello!
My 920F is definitely doing random reboots and random freezes.
I will try your ROM tonight, I think, and I hope that this is going to solve my problems.
But I also have a question: Why is my 930F restarting in the last 5 days?
I mean, I ' ve installed a ROM from XDA a month ago and it worked really fine until 5 day ago?
Is there any way to find out why it keeps restarting and freezing? Maybe a log?

Is there any way to find out why it keeps restarting and freezing? Maybe a log?

Did you try a factory reset? A logcat might be helpful, but if it's a hardwate issue, it won't show anything.

Not yet, testing still in progress, a small preview of what will be changed (not final):
Code:
apps:
- update F-Droid (0.100-alpha3)
- update K-9 Mail (5.010)
installer:
- auto detect whether device is zeroflte (SM-920F) or zerolte (SM-G925F) and install correct Hacker Kernel version accordingly.
- fix busybox installation
- fix TWRP progressbar
system:
- remove test applications
- show NanoROM version in software info
- by default make the home screens empty
- by default apps are now sorted alphabeticaly
- other minor tweaks
there are still a few more possible changes, but I'm not sure yet whether they'll come with the next update or the one after.
my phoe suddenly freezed and rebooted with a pink led is this the plod? i had no issues since months but now?

Yes.
On other note:
Hmm... Update takes a bit longer, still need to sort out some things. In the download folder you'll find my Synapse profile. Using this on a buggy device greatly improves stability.
Anyone else having the issue that Synapse does not see the Profile after putting it into /sdcard/Synapse/saved_profiles?

INSTALLING | FLASHING
Which path do I choose? Clean install or dirty flash?
Dirty flash: If you are already on Project-X. Please check the update post linked about though. This keeps your apps and their data intact.
Clean install: When you have problems with dirty flashing, when coming from another custom ROM or stock Android, OR when required.
How to dirty flash:
1. Download the latest Project-X zip onto your phone.
2. Boot into TWRP and make a backup (remove any lock screen security before this, optional but HIGHLY recommended).
3. Wipe cache and dalvik cache (optional).
4. Flash Project-X zip.
5. Reboot and profit.

F.A.Q | FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do i request feature, review or submit bug report?
For requesting a feature, go here.
For review, go here.
For submitting errors and bug reports, go here.
I get [app name] force close message on dirty flash? What to do?
The way Android handles permissions has changed from marshmallow, so first see if you have given all the required permission to the app through Settings>Apps. This should fix the problem. If not then-
Reboot to TWRP recovery.
Wipe system, cache, and dalvik cache in Wipe > Advanced Wipe.
Flash Project-X zip.
Flash GApps zip.
Reboot to system.
When i open AM3D app, it shows white screen then crashes? What to do?
AM3D audio enhancement requires a strict permissive selinux and if you choose Late Autumn kernel you won't have this problem. If you choose some other kernel then there is a workaround for it. First set your selinux to permissive by modded kernel adiutor or selinux mode changer and then just a do a soft reboot. You should get AM3D working now.
Why does xposed installer says as 'firmware is not active'?
The installer just installs the apk in system/data and I am currently working getting xposed firmware installed at the starting only. Till then you need to flash the xposed zip manually.
Where is AdAway?
If you flashed mother of ad blocking, then that is what you flashed, not AdAway. These are different things. MoaAB is a simple replacement of your stock hosts file that in turn blocks ads.
Why is my battery life crap?
Start by looking at your custom kernel, or by looking at user apps you use. Also simply constantly watching your battery is a battery drainer. The rom is seldom at fault with battery drain problems, and if it is to blame, then it is most probably and upstream google issue and not Project-X.
How do I install Project-X?
To install Project-X, you will need a custom recovery (preferably TWRP). After that, you will need to do a clean install, which is starting completely fresh (losing all of your apps and data). A clean flash consists of backing up your important data, booting into TWRP, wiping system, data, cache, and dalvik cache, then flashing the ROM and the recommended GApps. You will not lose your files (photos, music, other media) as long as it is in your internal storage folder (/sdcard, /data/media, or /storage/emulated/0). This process is expanded upon in the installation guides located at the top of this post.
How can I update Project-X?
If it is not a major Android update (like from Marshmallow to Nougat) or another major reason to clean flash, you should be okay to dirty flash (flash just the ROM zip without wiping anything). Always find the latest installation post (linked at the top of this post) and read to see if there were any reasons to clean flash (like a rebase or major change). Furthermore, I keep my installation guides at the top of this post up to date with the latest info. ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP AND PLEASE CLEAN FLASH BEFORE REPORTING MAJOR ISSUES.
When will Project-X get an update (for the new security patch, etc)?
This shouldn't even be a question you are asking on XDA as ETAs are forbidden due to the free nature of the work provided. However, I aim to have the update merged as quickly as possible and then released relatively soon. Keep in mind I have to also manage my studies so releasing is not a trivial task.
Should I flash GApps on a dirty flash?
I don't recommend it. For some people it is habit and they never experience issues; others do it and have massive force quits on startup that are only solved via a clean install. Even if there is a new GApps package available, they are updated through the Play Store and you don't lose them on a dirty flash like with some other ROMs because there is a backup tool. There is no need to flash them.
Should I wipe system when doing a dirty flash?
I would not recommend it. When you wipe system, your GApps are erased as well but their data remains in the data partition. When you reflash GApps, the GApps data may be for a newer version, causing issues. Updating through the Play Store may resolve this but just trust the dirty flashing process and don't do any wipes other than caches when dirty flashing.
How can i improve my sound experience more?
You can improve the sound quality more by downloading the audiophiles from here. If you want to replicate my setup then the detailed instructions are given here.

I installed this rom and the performance is awesome. But I have some problems with jerrica and berserk kernel with this rom. Both give me corrupted sd Card when I format as internal storage. With lateautumm kernel everything is fine, expect for a kernel bug, but it's not a rom bug.
Dude,is both sim slot 4g supported? And can I flash on lolypop bootloader?

Great. Why have you deleted the download link?
Great rom. Expectinf new update soon with OTA?

Good start in 2019

Where a good place to start for our new ROM?
I see the sticky post, but it's from Ubuntu 13.10 so very old.
Some things about what we wish to accomplish:
-Based on latest AOSP pie
- magisk integration (or other root solution). One possible solution is a userdebug build.
- Substratum integration (or similar theming engine)
- better storage and RAM optimizer
- modify startup script
- Some version of google apps (probably opengapps)
- customize everything to user desire
- battery optimizations
- possible TWRP installer inbuilt
- inbuilt OTA updater
- youtube vanced instead of standard YouTube
- inbuilt hosts files editor/importer
- inbuilt adblock separate from hosts management (?)
- custom subs theme for lunaOS
- lawnchair as default launcher
- optimize boot up sequence
- audio enhancer (not in first release)
- f Droid or play store alternative
- Aroma installer
- light/dark/black material rounded theme
- call recording
- properly support aptX and aptX HD
- Easter eggs galore
Obviously, we're not looking to integrate all that on first release, and don't need integration instructions for all (but those are welcome).
We all have basic to advanced Android knowledge, and I personally have worked with things like TWRP development, magisk modules development, etc
