I've used my Galaxy S6 Edge for a few months now. It was carrier unlocked.
Today, a message popped up on my phone saying it needs a carrier unlock code.
I don't know the original carrier, as I've bought the bought from a stranger.
Is there a method to find out the carrier ? Can I unlock it for free using root ?
I'm willing to pay, but I'm guessing I need to know the country and carrier.
Phone Info says only Samsung at the manufacturer.
Can somebody help me ?

I am planning on purchasing a 3G Galaxy Tab 10.1 for Bell at theSource tomorrow (no contract).
I am assuming that the device will be carrier locked to Bell Canada; is there any info whether this device can be carrier unlocked (use it on rogers/telus/etc), as I want to use the Tab on rogers.
I looked through the forums, all that I could find was related to the unlocking of the bootloader.
Any info appreciated.

I'd like to know if I can use the tab on other carriers other than that it was purchase from.
I don't know if unlocking the bootloader would actually mean if it is carrier unlocked.

Does anybody know procedure for sim unlocking Vodafone Smart Tab 10 on Honeycomb 3.2? When I flash ICS, device becomes unlocked, but not yet fully functional. So I will stay for some time on HC and I need to sim unlock.

Mostly, your provider is going to unlock it by request for free or for a small amount of money. Visit them and ask for unlocking it

Just got of the phone with VIP Serbia. They do not unlock any of their devices. (Asked specificaly for Smart tab 10.1 ZTE 11) It is their policy. So if you are going abroad never, NEVER buy anything from VIP. They will screw you for your own money!!!

By any carrier I hope you mean AT&T or its subsidiaries (prepaid that go off AT&T network). With that said some people have called T-mo and simply had it unlocked some paid a small fee to the unlocked. Com or another site. So the choice is yours. If you want to go to a prepaid that runs off T-mo you do not need to get it unlocked

I am running on android 4.4.4 , the phone is also rooted( I did it because i thought it would help to sim unlock it) Is there any way to unlock this phone for free? Im on o2 contract so i cant do **** :/

Hello,
Sadly, there isnt a free way of doing sim unlocks for this certain phone (again, sadly), the only thing you could do is wait for a 2-year contract to expire to get it unlocked by them OR buy an unlock code from a popular simunlock site (be aware - there are many sites that scam) :/

Im not too tech savvy but I want to learn how to sim unlock it, someone told me about dr fone cracked but i gave that a shot and i still was not able to access the sim unlock section because I have not purchased it, is there any other sim unlock software available that i can use + tutorial????

You could try to use odin to flash a stcok room that its not locked.
