The newest mi a1 have miui camera app when it comes on stock android os.
I think this will be an advantage
I doubt if there's a way to port the MIUI camera app from Mi A1 to work with custom roms in RN4. Both devices have a Snapdragon 625 chipset.

I don't think that would be advantage.. mi a1 has a 2 camera senzors... starting from kernel hal, framework.jar and all smali java porting.....
Maybe im wrong but i think its hard task especially bcs of two camera senzor on mi a1.

But OnePlus 5 has two cameras and still that port works on our device

Woow this was fast, thanks to devs.
Tested and can confirm it works great, im on aex 7.1
This will be a huge benefit for those who have omnivision camera senzor.
Also i think yellow flashlight gone.

im on samsung camera but test for yourself if u have a omni camera. i think it would work fine in any

Wrong. It is the same as miui rom , no extra features.
Manual control only for iso and white balance
