vey good. now improved a lot.
except this.

You can't post battery stats with less than a day use of rom, have some respect for the Developer, the Rom is not fully stable yet and a lot of kinks need to be worked out, if you want a stable rom, go for a nougat rom, if you want to Oreo, be happy with what you are getting at this stage and stop whining

Thanks to Frankie for this excellent work!
Everything works very good - GBoard as well.
I only have one question: I want to decompile the SystemUI.apk to translate the settings (String) to german.
apktool.jar (2.2.4) doesn't work - smali folder won't extract so recompiling doesn't work as well.
Does someone know how to decompile/recompile the system apps from this ROM?
Thanks in advance!

I'm not posting about overall battery life. It's a kernel wakelock problem, it's not going to go away on its own. It's a bug that the dev may or may not know about. He wouldn't have made a thread if he didn't want bug reports. So quit YOUR whining

I believe I found a bug. When setting up hotspot, 2.4GHz works just fine. When setting up 5GHz, I get error when turning on hotspot. See screenshot.
If I need to provide more info, please share.. I am on Verizon latest radio and bootloader, latest TWRP. Flashed ROM, BusyBox, and Magisk.
EDIT: I understand the ROM is new and appreciate the hard work if the developer. Helping out best I can.

It's all about context and tone. Some "bug reports" come across as entitled whining, or outright complaints with no respect for the developer or the work that's been invested.

For anyone looking for busybox, this is a direct link on XDA. https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4252596&d=1503713259 It covers Busybox version 1.2.7 and is Magisk 14 compatible.

Here's what should be done for all you noobs. If there is a bug and u want to report it, attach a logcat. Otherwise how will they see the error being replicated?

I will capture a logcat of the 5 GHz wifi when I get home.

i was able to solve the BT battery problem by disabling instant tethering under settings ->google->instant tenthering

I do believe the OP said to clean flash. You can back up and try and if you have issues, go back and do the wipes and clean install. Good luck.

[BUILD] [DISCONTINUED] [darkstone HD2Froyo V3] [kernel: darkstone]

Hi everyone, I'd like to let everyone know that I will no longer be updating my builds.
This is mainly due to the lack of time and that I have a lot of work for university to do.
I'd like to thank everyone who donated to me, I have sent an email to each and every one of you
I'd like to thank everyone who supported me throughout the last few months and I'd like to thank everyone at #htc-linux & #htc-linux-chat for their help and for being awsome!
Once again, many thanks!
Welcome to HD2Froyo!
I've finally got down to updating this build, let's get down to business...
What the build looks like:

Readme:
HTC Desire NON-SENSE build (HD2Froyo V3) (Based on DeFrost by richardtrip, source: http://github.com/richardtrip/) for HTC HD2 by darkstone on 26/10/2010:
My goal is to make a build that is close to stock as possible, but also has everything working. I'm getting there
Everything should be working, should be fast. Very fast.
Changelog for V3:
Updated lib_htcril_wrapper & htcleo.acdb
Some performance tweaks
Dropped Passion base and changed to AOSP+Cyanogenmod build base
Theme-less
Uses PPP (sorry rmnet folk, rmnet doesn't appear to be functioning correctly in the EVO kernel)
If you have issues with data/PPP, look here for support: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794309
Updated kernel to latest EVO commit on 25/10/2010 from here: http://www.gitorious.com/linux-on-w...mmit/dbd408efab87c018ab9c2e35fee672a97446852c
Kernel compiled by darkstone, no changes made to source, use the source above ^
Notes:
Make sure to reboot after first boot, apps needing root access won't work. Phone calls will have no audio. Make sure you reboot!
This build can not be used to upgrade previous versions of HD2Froyo, you must start fresh. Use titanium backup to backup your current settings.
Creates a 1GB data.img if there is no data.img present. I have included a clean 1GB data.img for a quick first boot.
Don't worry about FB console not showing, that's normal
// Copy the Android and the media folder to the root of your SD card, run CLRCAD.EXE and haret.exe on your HD2 //
Kernel Tree: http://www.gitorious.com/linux-on-wince-htc/linux_on_wince_htc
If you want to update the kernel, I would recommend kernel builds by hastarin which has tweaks. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=787588
Just want to point out that the HTC Desire is closest in terms of hardware to our HD2, that's why I prefer cooking a Desire build and that's why I will always choose Desire based builds over EVO and Desire HD builds.
Thanks to everyone at #htc-linux and #htc-linux-chat !

USB data is working, I haven't tested Bluetooth Audio
This build is awesome. Far superior to the Desire build or the other Froyo builds. Stable and very snappy. Great work! Once we get GPS this can be my full-time os.
Sent from Android on my HD2 via the XDA app
Nice
Super snappy built compared to the v5, this is running from a class 2 card.
I did have a sort of freeze after taking a picture and then going to view it and delete it. it froze for like 30 seconds was about to reset when I got the android boot screen and it came right back.
update and also just got the sleep of death
Great work Darkstone!
Only problem is that i get in to turbo mode all the time..
And it keeps on telling me that system has stopped working.
And also button lights never goes in to sleep.
I'll try formatting my sd card and move over everything again.
Edit:
Formatted my Sd card and moved all files over again.
No more turbo mode and msg about system crash.
Will try out and give a conclusion.
Cheers!
I just realized that both dan and darkstone latest release are using cotulla 23 july instead of 25th one..

You are god! lol i love this build. its the best one yet. smooth and snappy, better then your desire rom. Big up's man keep up the FANTASTIC WORK!

CM 10.1 Nightlies - Poor quality recording on video apps

Hi there,
I've recently switched to the CyanogenMod 10.1 nightlies because I'm looking for a more native Android experience on my i9300. The ROM has been excellent and stable so far, but I have one issue.
I have AutoGuard BlackBox set up on my phone, so my trips are recorded in the car. It really is an excellent app, it's automated and even puts SRT files in with the files on YouTube.
On previous ROMs, the application worked flawlessly with no issues at all. Unfortunately, with the CM 10.1 nightlies, the video quality seems to be way off using the automatic quality settings. Trying anything in 480p or above seems to break the camera completely, with me having to restart the phone.
The quality used to look a bit like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyyr86akgQA
and now it's like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KT0mAsiDYME
I've tried other apps, like DailyRoads Voyager and that seems to have the same issue. The developer of AutoGuard has told me that the ROM is to blame for the issues as it doesn't handle custom recording settings very well, so I'm a little lost as to what to do.
Has anyone else had this issue before on a native ROM? I can't post a bug because the i9300 is only nightlies and I can't face going back to a Samsung-based ROM again.
======
EDIT: I have been watching the recording setup process on AutoGuard and managed to get this log from my phone. The key line appears to be:
Code:
06-04 13:30:35.525: A/OMXCodec(1913): frameworks/av/media/libstagefright/OMXCodec.cpp:1171 CHECK(ret > 1) failed.
It looks as if the codec isn't loading correctly.
The full is here
http://pastebin.com/PJa5kxGC
Any ideas?
MrNorm
ive been having issues with autoguard and the cm10.1 nightlies as well. It worked fine up until RC1 (was previously running 3/23, i believe) and now my phone slows to a crawl every time it's recording. I also asked the dev and he said the same thing to me. I would really love for this to be fixed before the stable release comes out.
I'm glad it's not just me then!
Hovan (AutoGuard developer) provided this response when I asked if he could provide any technical information on what could be causing it:
I don't know the mechanism.
But the problem is this.
- Custom recording settings such as resolutions, recording bit rates, framerates should be handled properly
- The rom should be a good communication channel between camera module and 3rd party apps.
Thanks.

I'm not really sure how to let people at CM know about the issue, as we can't post issues on nightlies to the team. I'm surprised the S3 hasn't even made it to an 'M' release to be honest. It's a very stable ROM (on my phone, at least). It's just this one issue I can't seem to get on with.

I'm afraid that's incorrect. This is an international Galaxy S3 (i9300) forum. RC4 is available for non-international versions only at this point. The i9300 hasn't even had RC1 yet.

Awesome been waiting for this but have few queries - did you source built it?, if so, wgere did you find deatharrow's sources from also why wouldn't 2g work if 3g does?
Great work though, just a bit curious
This smells fishy. The first screenshot is not our res, the second is too small and the third is taken from the original thread. All of this + that the download link doesn't actually work. Again, fishy.
lol
Sorry but the I can't upload anything to google drive's server (I don't know why maybe is my internet connection.....):banghead:
Yes we'll continue the develop, we have just started, In the next days we will fix more things... Please, don't copy this ROM, without our written permission, and don't change the names of the developers, we have worked very hard, (<-he is sleeping with the sunglasses) so we fixed some thing, now the most important bug is the bluethoot, the 2g don't work (only with wind, an Italian mobile operator, 2g works well), and you can't use the WiFi with the 3g turn on....
I hope that these bug are fixed easily....
For now, we don't want any tester or developers, that want to help us (I can't tell you why). We're in 3, we're Italian, and we have worked to made the cyanoid ROM (e400), and from some weeks we've worked on the cm10. Please don't ask the zip now, if the Google's server return working I'll upload the ROM, but I don't know when we're going to relase . I hope that this post have clarify your doubts.
We don't ask you to donate, or we don't want thanks, but I ask you only 3 thing.. OK?
Hope
Pray for us
Wait
Don't spam this therad....
PS (I want to tell you that I'm not THE developer, but I'm ONE of the 3 developers, but one of us isn't on xda...)

Well good to hear that its not for thanks/donations btw some light on how you actually managed to fix i mean what patches used if it were source built and kernel sources if any changes were made would help us understand stuff better and who knows maybe others could fix bugs you can't. You don't need to take anyone into your team or give permissions for others to tamper your work but least you can shed some insights on what was actually done since this is an aosp rom

Thanks for your appreciation, but if you see another cm 10 ROM, it's the ours or it's a fake, because we have seen someone downloading a zip that we were sharing together, (we use goo.gl and mediafire and we know what happened to our files, because we see how many people have used that link).... ,maybe someone have used filecrop.com and searching cm 10 e400 or something else it have download it. The ip is american.. But we don't knows what's happened, maybe anything.. we're human and we like the Linux's philosophy helps together to be perfect (but for now the Dev team isn't open to anyone for some serious reasons)

**NEW** Native Hotspot hack for Sprint LG G3

After spending a lot of hours trying to get this to work, the method is very simple.....
Make sure to Thank @c45h2012 HERE
Apparently go here for this info. It's already been posted. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55707846
All credit goes there.
Disclaimer: You are doing this on your own. You MAY incur extra charges if Sprint see's unusual activity on your Plan.
Important:
1. This will only work on LTE/eHrpd. It does not work on CDMA. So in Settings if you have it on CDMA it will not work.
2. You will need to reapply this after a profile/prl update.
3. It will still work after a reboot
Let's get started:
1. Download "Shortcut Master Lite" from the Playstore
2. Open it and select "Search"
3. Type in "APN"
4. Select the 4th setting
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
5. Select "Internet"
6. Scroll to "APN type" and type in "dun".
7. Select "Save"
8. Profit!!!!
There is nothing else we need to do. No extra files , nothing
This works with Barren, Stock ZV4 and Xposed. I'm not sure about the other ROM's.
Again, Make sure to Thank @c45h2012 HERE
I have modified APN's, tried the services.odex, and nothing worked. This works everytime!!
Thanks. This is the method I've used suggested from a previous post and works flawlessly

Make sure you're not set to CDMA. Or if your service is only CDMA then this probably won't work.

You won't see an ehrpd option. You'll see that under About>Status, I think.
If you select CDMA in network settings, that's all you'll get. If you select LTE/CDMA it'll select whatever is available in your market/area. CDMA/EHRPD/LTE.
great it works , thank you very much

Well let's see.... I'll take the higher road.
1. First off, I suggest you talk to me in a little better manner. So don't expect an apology.
2. I never saw that thread before. Not everybody visits all the forums.
I have ALWAYS given credit when I get info from somewhere.
3. As you might be able to see, I MADE THIS FROM SCRATCH. And I made it for Sprint. If I had known it worked, or was posted in other forums, do you really think I'd take the time to write this out myself?
After rewriting this 4 times now.... I'm tapping out.
Edit. Op updated

General S906E OneUI 5 Discussion

Anyone from our friends in India who can capture the link of the beta update for S906E? Thanks guys!
Why is so hard to get a link of Indian version?
I don't really know. Maybe there are less people who got s22+. Rn we only have s906B. Hopefully someone with s906E will get the link and share it with us.
I just bought S22 plus. And yes not too many buy Samsung flagships here bcoz of atrocious pricing. People just go for iPhones, which is ironic since iPhones are even over priced.
I'm on OneUI 5.0 beta.
What can I do?
We have Dual Sim tho

OMG you're a life saver bro. Can you maybe capture the FOTA link of the update? I think someone posted it how to capture it. Thanks a bunch.
Guide me. I joined beta via samsung members app.
Here try this.
How to capture the update.zip file to share with other people:
1. Download HTTP canary app
2. Open HTTP Canary app
3. Start the update by pressing "download" and don't pause it
4. Go back to canary app and start it and it will grab the link for you
Will try.
Thanks dude.

Can you check this link. It's a guide to set it up. https://www.droidwin.com/capture-samsung-one-ui-5-0-beta-update-ota-download-link/
I need http.canary.pem file
Its a ca certificate file located in installed folder or something which I'm unable to access.
Omg dude I'm sorry.
I already installed Beta and now it shows you are up to date. How tp capture it then?
Awww. That's too bad. Only options are reverting to 4.0 then enroll back to beta to start the update again. Or capture the link on the next update. Anyway thanks bro. I'm happy to know someone has an s22+ who's willing to share the link.
Everyday I opened S22 plus Thread on Xda but never opened your thread. I thought someone from India must be asking a random question about update and I didnt open.
Dam I just installed this update like 5 hours ago.
So just to be clear, if I get beta 2 update and capture it, will it work for you?
And This capturing process is tedious. I'm not even sure If I've set it up correctly and it seems like only one shot at capturing.
In the above image it still says ca certf not installed in blue heading.

I honestly don't know if that will work. Since we lack people who uses s22+, we can't test it. About the certificate, it can be installed from settings. I'm trying to replicate it myself.
