I have a ZCX TWRP recovery and it has a built in SuperSU zip but when I install it, it says done and when I boot the phone, the SuperSU app is not installed and it says my device is not rooted. hi frnds pls tell me the easy method to root redmi note 3
You can flash su addon. Or flash MagiskSU
Root. You can root with this guede (look in experimental section), without unlocking bootloader and never need to unlock it for flashing custom roms

I don't recommend rooting MIUI because it can have many problems, you can try a custom ROM like lineage OS and root it, I feel that's easier.

You might need to install "lazyflasher" after installing custom recovery. Search this forum for "lazyflasher-no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip")

Indeed, you will need to root again after any ROM update, regardless of recovery or Magisk/Supersu (unless the ROM is pre-rooted).

SuperSU doesn't work anymore.
Update your recovery to one which is Treble compatible and use the latest beta version of Magisk.
It should all be explained in the Pixel Experience ROM thread
Can you give me the link to that thread.....
Try this recovery;it works for treble and non-treble roms so you wont bother changing recoveries again: (https://forum.xda-developers.com/re.../recovery-orangefox-recovery-project-t3775933)
And try this magisk for treble as well: (https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=890129502657597190)
Make a clean flash of your rom, first flash firmware if needed then rom then gapps. I would advice you to reboot after that setup your phone then reboot to recovery and flash magisk. Your choice good luck.

Installation TWRP

I couldn't install TWRP on this phone! Can anyone please give me instructions on how to install TWRP custom recovery on this phone.
TWRP does't officially support the device yet (as of September 1st 2020). You should probably wait a while. ?
