For the LG G6, more bands were actually supported than "official". All the U.S. LTE bands were there, specifically AT&T and T-Mobile.
The problem with the South Korea models were no bootloader unlock or root.

My S5 is the SM-G900T Variant, but it's not T-Mobile.

Can anyuone tell me why my FACTORY UNLOCKED Galaxy S5 has the same model # as the T-Mobile Variant?
What do you mean it's not T-Mobile?
What does it say under Settings -> About device ? What is the Model number

If it's factory unlocked, you can use it on most gsm carriers. The T-Mobile variant supports the 1700 and 2100 bands, which at&t does not. If you have the T-Mobile version, you're in a good situation.

It's not the T-Mobile Variant. I'm trying to determine which ROMs I should download, and use on my phone. I'm ot trying to download anything that's gonna brick it. My phone has absolutely nothing from T-Mobile installed, no T-Mobile Carrier branding or nothing.

How to convert my Middle East version to USA to acquire Oreo updates?

Dear XDA Forum:
I'm a new member of XDA forum and would like to thank you, everyone, for taking their time on reading this post.
Back to the point. I have with me an LG V30+ (H930DS) from Saudi Arabia.
Here are the specifications list according to the Software Info:
Android Version: 7.1.2
Android security patch level: January 1, 2018
Software Version: V10e-AME-XX
I'm very frustrated with how LG deals with the software updates. I'm using an unlocked variant LG V30+, yet, I still didn't get updates. I wish to use the latest software updates. So, I thought about to convert it to US unlocked variant version, but, I'm struggling with how to do it. I'm still pretty new to dealing with this kind of problems. I hope XDA will provide me the guidelines on this matter.
Thank you!
You can download below kdz file and install for me this is working normal for UAE version V30+.

You have to use the H930 Europe KDZ. KDZ is down om Development with attached LGUP tool to flash.

Dear ChazzMatt:
What is the difference between H930 and H930DS?
Will it affect anything from my network sim?
I'm moving from Saudi Arabia to the Philippines on May 31, 2018. So, I'm wondering if I will be able to use the Philippines sim card if I update it to Oreo?

Flashing H930 Oreo KDZ over H930DS will give you Oreo, but you'll lose 2nd SIM capability. You would have these bands:
If you have"H930" (either actual or converted), you will have these bands:
2G GSM: 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G (HSPA): 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G LTE: 1/2/3/4/5/8/12/17/20/28/38
You can flash the Hong Kong H930DS Oreo KDZ and still get the same Oreo but retain 2nd SIM capability.

Go read that thread. You'll still need the LGUP tool posted over in the Europe H930 KDZ thread but you would be flashing the Hong Kong Oreo H930DS KDZ. Offhand I don't know what the HK H930DS bands are.

Dear ChazzMatt:
Can you please explain to me what bands are for? Does it play a big role in using my phone with sim cards? If it does, will I still be able to use Data Connectivity, Calls, and Text Messages through sim cards?
Apologize for lack of knowledge regarding technology.

Yes, upgrade to keep apps and data. Refurbish if you want a clean, fresh start.
I have finished flashing Android Oreo on my phone using the method you provided on another article.
I flashed SEA/ Singapore KDZ on "lg-firmwares". The only downside that happened during the process was, it required me to reformat my phone to gain access to my phone. I lost all of my graduation photos... Darn it.
Anyways, so far with a 6 hours experience on Android Oreo. I enjoyed the new features. I definitely see an improvement on phone's and battery performance with more control privilege. I'm still disappointed with the camera even with the AI cam implementation. Somehow fish is detected as a dog... Everything is not perfect anyways in its first development. I'm not expecting too much out of it. But I hope and wish they will improve the camera software, especially HDR mode. In Google Pixel 2 XL, the built in camera software is a beast. They should've copied that xD.
Thank you for providing me enough details to accomplish what I want with my LG v30+. I really appreciate every person who commented in this post. Once again, thank you!

Lg v30 update

Does anyone know whether or not another security update will come to the LG v30 and if so, when?

Yes, of course it will.
But you don't say WHICH V30 you have? How do you know you have the latest? There's about two dozen different V30 variants. 12 or 13 for North America alone!
LG releases updates at different times for each variant, not all at the same time. About every 3 months.
I keep half a dozen KDZ threads current with latest KDZ. Others you can get from site like LG-Firmwares.com.
V31a-EUR-XX is the most recent with November security update.

For EU H930 and compatible with all other H930 variants.
That's why I wanted to know what variant he had. A batch of North American updates should be coming soon.

Question Any version that has dual-sim and Wifi Calling on T-Mobile in US?

Even with some flashing/MSMtool/logkit/code/unlock/root, is it possible?
If Possible buy an Unlocked Version from Europe, China or India as Bootloader cannot be unlocked on an Carrier locked device from T-Mobile or Verizon.
Move to Oxygen OS 12.1 Global that supports 17 5G SA & NSA Bands, however with flashing other region firmware will not support carrier features like VoWiFI and VoNR and ViNR services.

It is unfortunate that it is extremely difficult to get dual VoWifi with latest oneplus phones in US. Even esim support would get the job done.
So the international version Cph2415 which has all the t-mobile bands support volte and wifi calling?

wait... you sure? Do you have any reference or did you buy a cph2415 and test it out? Is it T-Mobile only, or also ATT and Verizon and MVNOs?

Question Can I flash different model's official firmware??

I just bought US model of s23ultra, but I actually live in Taiwan
the issue is none of it's the carrier aggregation is supported here
so I wonder if it is possible to flash SM-S9180's firmware on SM-S918U1 device ??
if it can:
1. Can I get future update by OTA??
2. Will it break Knox??
if it can't, is there any other alternative way to change the the carrier aggregation setting ??

Don't do it. You will brick device.
You can't flash U or U1 phones to B models it will brick your phone.
