Hard Brick Fix Tool for Meizu m3 Note M91 (TESTED) (WORKING)
Warning:- This tutorial is only for M3 Note (M91). Do not try it on Meizu m3 note (L91) as it has not been tested on the same. If you still want to try it, you are on your own.
Requirements:-
1. A mildly functioning brain
2. Ability to follow specific instructions
3. A Meizu m3 note
4. Modified SP Flash tool
5. A PC/laptop
6. An Internet Connection
Steps:-
1. Download all the files from the link below.
2. Extract and Install the VPN. Since it is a crack, follow this link to install and configure it mod edit - warez link removed
3. After installing the VPN, select the server location as China
4. Load SP Flash tool It is located under flash_file.7z>sp flash tool for meizu only.7z>sp flash tool.exe
5. After opening SP flash tool, add the file MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin in the Download_Agent bar. This file is located in flash_file.7z>sp flash tool for meizu only.7z>MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin
6. After this, in Scatter -loading fie, add MT6755_Android_scatter.txt This file is located in flash_file.7z>m3 note flash files>MT6755_Android_scatter.txt
7. Then in authentication file, load auth_sv5.auth This file is located in flash_file.7z>sp flash tool for meizu only.7z>auth_sv5.auth
8. With your phone TURNED OF, connect it to PC/laptop and press Download
This should flash the official Flyme recovery on your phone and through it you can flash any flyme firmware by connecting your phone to your PC/laptop.
Why our tool works?
You must have seen hundreds of videos on YouTube claiming how their tutorial works. The thing is, 99.9% of them don't know what they're talking about. We aim to fix that with our tutorial. Coming back to the question, the reason why our tutorial works is that it does not try to copy anything to the phone. Since we have the authrisation file that the Meizu service centers use, we are able to flash anything Flyme firmware we want to the phone without a MRT Dongle because just like a dongle, because of the authorisation file, we can directly flash to the eMMC storage of the phone. No matter how messed up your phone is, it will definitely come back to life.
Special thanks to @ChatDexter for trying this tutorial on his hard bricked m3 note and conforming that it works.

Tips:-
If you get BROM or VROM error then it is because you do not have the proper drivers installed.
Turn on Windows Update to automatically download the missing drivers
The reason for connecting to a Chinese VPN is because the authorisation file was leaked from China and it needs to verify a signature from a Chinese server to flash things on the phone. Failure to do this results in error while trying to flash recovery.

Hello guys,
I own Meizu M3 Note L168h LTE recently i downloded an update version (TEST version)
From the following address downloads.meizufans.org/m3note/firmware/test/
I Chose version 6.7.10.17.
I updated the device by copying the update.zip into an sdcard and chossing update after pressing the power button and volume up.
during the update (About 10%) the phone turned itself off and now all i got is black screen no matter what keys combination i press the phone wont turn on.
the phone is detected via pc as mediatek serial.
also i have no idea how to determinate the phone version i see around the forums M91 AND L91 versions.
How to determinate what version i own and what scatter should i use.

i have L681. i had it when it was launched. that time there was no warming on the forums that this model m3 note has two type of main board. first one is M model. that is why i made a mistake. i flashed the wrong M firmware. after than my L681 hard bricked. tried many things. got worse and worse finally it stacked in boot loop and black screen. nothing changed sofar . Thank you very much. this is the second day off my phone that i use for more than one year.

+ first of all before you start these drivers must be installed correctly:
MediaTek USB Port

+ than try the all steps again and again.
if it doesnt flash keep pressing three side buttons at the same time and hold it untill it restarts (usb cable was pluged.). it flashed. than i succeed.
than i used Kirpitch.M3Note modifed sp flash tool to flash my firmware. it has both for m and l models flyme 6 support.

Hi there. I bricked my phone trying to install a beta Flyme 7.0 ( https://translate.google.com/transl...m/showthread.php?t=1410072&edit-text=&act=url ) but, as the guy said, he tried it on the M681H.
I've installed the provided drivers (screencap 1) and, when I try to plug the phone in holding the volume down button, I get the result in attachment screencap 2. I hear the new device sound and in device manager it appears as "MTK USB Port (COM6)". A few seconds later it disconnects and it connects again. I've tried several different drivers to no success. Also, when I connect it without holding Volume- , it fails immediately with the error "Status BROM CMD Fail".
Any advice? Thanks for your work, if I sort this out I will look forward to your custom ROM.

i tried to unlock bootloader but i bricked my M3 NOTE, now i try to follow this guide but i have some problems with sp flash tools. Sometimes i receive QQ error like some post above. Sometimes I able to launch SP Flash tools and Download starts with the red line DOWNLOAD DA, some seconds after the software fails with errors 600003, i read that it can be some error on the installation of the drivers but i unable to find this error. How can check in Windows 10 if all drivers iis isntalled? Thanks a lot to all

THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH DEVICES USING EMMC PARTITION LAYOUT!
otherwise flashtool cannot properly readback needed files wich will cause a bricked device. for rooting mt6573 or mt6575 without emmc partition layout,

You need to upload the needed files to your Computer using the Read Page Only feature.
ALSO, MAKE SURE YOUR DON'T TRY THAT ON AN ALCATEL (OR SIMILAR) DEVICE, INDICATOR HERE IS A CUSTPACK PARTITION IN SCATTERFILE.
those devices have mt65xx, but have a totally different partition strukture. You can try this tutorial, BUT IF YOU BRICK YOUR DEVICE; I CANNOT HELP YOU OUT!!!
since a lot of devices have different hardware - e.g. Display or Camera - making a Backup of your device should have highest priority. Flashing a wrong ROM can brick your phone!!

Support for the newest Version of Droid Tools is NOT given in this thread! I personally don't use his tool so if something unexpected happens, its not my fault.
SP Flashtool V3.1224 for mt6589, newer flashtool is needed!!! if there are some problems with reading back or flashing the device, newer flashtool is needed.
Install the needed drivers. installing VCOM drivers might take a while, because it will show up just a few seconds while connecting the phone(off).
and now the Step-by-Step tutorial to backup your boot.img, recovery.img and system.img for rooting.
1. enable USB-debugging under Settings-Development->USB debugging
2. phone should now get recognized as "Android Phone - Android Composite ADB Interface" -> if this is a Unknown Device, you should install the ADB drivers.
3.Open MTK Droid Tools

4. Connect device to USB (USB Debugging has to be enabled)
5. Device informations has been loaded, Press on "Blocks Map"
We'll need to find the lines bootimg, recovery and Android. We'll need to write down Start-adress(Scatter) and the Size for every line.
(i made a screenshot, writing down isn't necessary.)
In MY Case, this is:
bootimg: 00F88000 size: 00600000
recovery: 01588000 size: 00600000
Android: 026E8000 size: 31900000
6. Now we'll need to click on "Create Scatter File" and you can save it as "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt"
7. You can Close MTK Droid Tools now.
8. Now we need to open SP Flash Tool and we need to load the scatter file.
9. Now we'll need to click on "Read Back" in the top of SP Flash Tool.
Click on "ADD" 3 Times, we will create "ROM_0", "ROM_1" and "ROM_2".
10. Doubleclick on "ROM_0", and select a place to save it, e.g. C:/N9770_backup/ and rename it to"boot.img"
11. now it will ask you for the Start Adress and lengh for bootimg, we wrote down earlier.
this is in my case: Start Address: 0x00F88000; Lenght: 0x00600000. the first "0x" MUST remain at its place!
12. the same thing you'll need to do for "recovery" and "android".
13. disconnect, shut down and remove the battery of your Device.
13. Now we'll need to click on "Read Back", insert your battery and connect your device to USB. (VCOM driver is needed now, you'll need to install it before getting to the next steps)
14. if this were correct, a red bar should appear on the bottom of SP Flash Tool. you'll need to wait until the green ring appears.
15.Flash Tool now read back the 3 files. system.img isn't that important, but boot.img and recovery.img should be around 6 MB. if the file is smaller or bigger, the length is different to my device or there was a failure while reading back your firmware. So make sure, that at least recovery or boot.img has the right size!!
16. Back to droid tools. reconnect your device to USB , debugging should be enabled, too. switch to "root, backup, recovery" tab in MTK Droid Tools.
select "to choose the boot.img" and press on "Recovery and boot". select your backup boot.img and recovery,img. MTK droid tools will patch boot.img, so you obtain permanent shellroot.
(optional) a window will pop-up and ask you, if you want to install CWM-r. i cannot tell you if that will work, but you can try it, since you backed up your recovery before. )
(optional) a window will pop-up and ask you for the name of your device(you connected it before starting droidtools, so this should not ask you for the name). you can just press enter or you can enter a name for your device.
17. Droid Tools should have modified the boot.img. "--a task is complete--" text should show up in the right of droidtools.
18. Back to Flashtool
You'll need to load the Scatter (like in Step 8)
select boot.img and recovery.img. make sure you select the modified files. (.../Droidtools/recovery/boot.img and recovery.img)
only boot and recovery should be selected!!
19.disconnect, shout down and remove the battery of your device. press on "Download", a window will show up that you have not selected all images. you can press on "OK".
20. insert the battery and connect your device to USB. Flash process should start and if it worked, green ring will appear.
21. Back to DroidTools. device needs to be connected and debugging enabled. switch to "root, backup, recovery" again and press on "SuperUser". this will push superuser, SU binary and busybox to your device.
22. Your Device is rooted now. you can make a Full backup with Droid Tools now.

Guys, this will work on every mt65xx device, if you installed all drivers sucessfully .this whole thing basically changes a value in Boot.IMG To obtain permanent root in the shell. This is the same on EVERY mt65xx based smartphone. Basically you are rooted now. Just needs To push busybox, su and superuser To your device. Thos whole thing seems complex, but you make a backup oft your modified files before modifiing. I never Had device this tutorial was not working every mt6575, 6577 and 6589 should work without an problem. Mt6573 can be a Problem because oft their YAFFS partition strukture.

Now i tried to root the phone. Everything is went fine till phase nr.19. At this point when the flashtool tried to write back the modified boot.img and recovery.img it gave back me the attached error window.
What should be the problem? I went through the steps with doublecheck and everything was fine till that point. I tried this step two or three times more, but every time gave me this error message.
What should I do now? If it helps I can upload the log folder content here.
Make sure the scatterfile is correct and the files should not be bigger than 6 MB. Flash tool tells you that you need to flash a full image cause the scatter is different from you phone.

Tonight I found a newer version for flash tool (v3.1304.0.119). Using that version rooting the phone was successful, so thanks, finally it worked.

This will be very helpful. I have a china phone running on MT6577. I've successfully installed a ported V970 ROM to ZA-985 (which is compatible to my unit in terms of hardware and appearance). I wanna try porting a JB V970 Lewa OS ROM to Kata i1 (identical to ZA-985).

thx for your reply, i updated Post #1 , that for mt6589 newer flashtool is required nad sumtimes youll need to play with them. this is because the widely spread devices, they are not the same and sometimes big differences in partitionlayout, SoC revision and so on.
@verntechguy: after rooting, make sure you get a full backup of your device using mtk droid tools. porting lewa is not that hard, but you maybe need to try different platforms to port from. you can refere to here, master shifu yuweng made a pretty good tutorial abut porting Roms.

Im already done, but im receiving this error when i try to modified the backuped files (boot and recovery) on MTK Droid Root.I sai no to similar CWM, and i get this error:

i need your help now cause i know you all expert in these stuff
i used to have a Samsung mobile which it has an easy rooting,flashing,installing a rom , etc
but a few months ago I bought a Lenovo A660 mobile phone from Pandawill.com and its been working very well
since i decided to root it and at least change the default sd card to external sd cad( so that can i install more games and programs)
so I searched the net and I found out that the rooting way is sp flash tools
so, i downloaded SP Flash tools V3 and the right Scatter file and a new rom (this one because i was tired of my current rom)
anyway i installed android recovery mode<3e> and tried to install the rom from my sdcard (in the recovery menu) but every time it gave me this error ( E: Signature Verification Failed E: Signature Verification Failed Install aborted)
this error drove me crazy ! so i tried to install the rom from PC (my OS is windows XP SP3 ) so i connected it and i tried to do it but i didnt get succeeded so i connected my phone again ,and i selected the downloaded etotalk rom for every option ! like thisif you can see this photo, i attached it in the atachments below!)

after I hit the download button , the red , yellow and purple bar went one after another and after that my phone was dead:crying:

The reason i closed that thread is b'cos it has become a request for Factory ROM & not unbricking it...
if you wouldn't wanna risk opening up your MTK device then do as adeelahmed11 (again, obviously you are also at that thread but never read it completely... i don't learn all these in a day or two but many many months browsing thru all MTK unbrick threads at china-iphone, elsewhere & also here on xda)
if you have made up your mind & wanna proceed to unbrick it yourself then follow as below...
1) Download the correct SPFT & install it
2) Download the MTK driver & install it
3) Download the A660 Factory ROM & extract it
4) Open up your A660, at SPFT, load scatter.txt click at Firmware->Upgrade use a wire & short the two point accordingly to this pic
5) After completion, your A660 will be unbrick...
Tips : A reference unbrick video by fellow xda friend, rnovino... :good:

That is one of the reason i don't go to other threads to help n00bs like you b'cos you guys just don't appreciate it & wasted my post count...
Anyway, i've made a generic unbrick tutorial here for other xda members who face this problem since i've already close my unbrick thread... :good:

Update:This tutorial might no longer be valid. It was meant for stock to lollipop beta. Now there is a stable update. Please check needrom website for latest updates.
Disclaimer: This is a lengthy process with downloads of up to 2GB or more required. This is based on my understanding of machine translated Chinese web pages and forums. This process was done on my own ZTE Nubia Z7 Max and it now successfully runs the Google Play Store on Lollipop. The Lollipop version is only 5.0. Please take caution in reading instructions, I take no responsibility if you end up with a bricked phone due to various reasons (improper downloads, power failure or thermo-nuclear war)
Note: You cannot easily go back to Kitkat after this process, please be sure that you want Lollipop. I have not faced any issues with the Lollipop Update, but just letting you know.
Background:
I have a Z7 Max with Nubia OS v1.59 (Kitkat 4.4.2) and I found out from another forum that a Lollipop version v2.13 (Official) is available. This is the process I followed:
Pre-requisites:
A ZTE Nubia Z7 Max (model: NX505J, Hardware Version: NX505JMB_A)
Windows PC (I did this on Windows 7 64-bit)
Drivers installed (When the phone is connected, it will appear under device manager as "Android Sooner Single ADB Interface")
Step 1: Upgrade to v 1.64
The update to V 2.13 can only happen from v 1.64. So first you have to get to v 1.64, if you are not already on it.
Download the v1.64 update zip (requires sign up at Need ROM)
Using the stock recovery update the phone through normal process
Copy update zip to SD Card
Apply update from SD Card etc. etc.
There will be no reset of data and apps, however you will lose Google Play Store/ Services connectivity and Root. It hardly matters as the phone will be reset in the next few steps.
Your phone must be on v1.64 now.
Step 2:Enable ADB and Factory ports
Open your dialer and input *#7678#
You will see two check boxes Factory[] and Adb[]
Check both
Step 3: Download the update file and update tool
Extremely Important: The update from Kitkat to Lollipop will reset the device as the partition is re-written. This is why the tool is required. (No the update cannot be flashed using a custom recovery)

If you have all the drivers installed and ports enabled, the phone icon in the bottom will have a white tick mark in green bubble, else it will show an exclamatory mark (!) in red bubble. On the Computer
Download the Recovery exe from This link here (Filename: Z7max_2.13_Android _5.0_CWM recovery.exe)
Running this file will give you a terminal screen with 10 options.
Press Option "2" - I don't know what it does, but the phone will reboot - Probably the bootloader is unlocked.
Connect your phone and copy to the SD card the Gapps package: I used the pico pack from Paranoid Android thread here
After copying the file to SD card, press option "5" - This boots the phone into temporary recovery
In the recovery:
Second option is to flash zip from SD card
Select your file from the SD card
Select the second line on next screen (This is probably - No, - Yes, Flash Zip options)
Gapps gets installed
Go back to main screen of recovery and select first option, you will be presented with two options, Reboot and Reboot Recovery, choose second option to get to Lollipop with Google Play store installed.
Root
Follow the same process to get root by flashing the SuperSu zip through the temporary recovery

Good tutorial. But Nubia v2.13 still pretty much need a lot of improvements. I will wait for CM12 to be ported over properly than going for Nubia OS.
When flashing the 2.13 using the flashing tool, i get stuck at 15% where it says switching to download mode. My phone turns off and only the right backlit dot is lighted up. I looked over on the nubia forums and the said it could be because i hadnt turned off my antivirus software, so I went ahead and turned it off but it was the same. I even tried on another computer but same error.
Anyone know whats wrong?
Happened upon your post while I was looking to resolve my gapps issue from my upgrade to 1.64 and now 2.13. Had someone translate the chinese menu for me earlier today when I needed to use the stock recovery. Hope this helps everyone else.
Did not realize the bootloader needs to unlocked before can apply the gapps again. -_- Going to give it a shot now, thanks!
encountering data problem
I have data connection problem in ZTE Nubia Z7 max. I put 2 sim cards in 2 slots. When I change my default data connection to second sim slot, 1st sim carrier signal is lost. 1st signal is recovered when I changed the data connection to sim 1. Does anyone encounter this problem? In HTC Desire 826 dual sim phone, they are no encountering that problem. What is the cause of the problem? If anyone knows how to fix this, please help me.

Right now im on the 14/4/2015 version of Cm12 which is very nice. Although i couldnt merge partitions which i would like to be able to do.

Hi, here is the thing, i flash stock recovery 5.0 and make manual update to 3.08 (first guide on needrom), after flash TWRP v2.8.6.0 gaps etc. I have only 8gb memory ROM+ apps. And finnaly my question is: when i will use this Updater Tool, may i get full 32gb space please? Thx a lot for every help.

Bro after flashing version 1.64 using custom rom my phone not detecting any cdma/gsm network on first slot . I also tried to downgrade it with version 1.29 fastboot rom from needrom but still it don't show network.
Do you have any idea how to enable my first slot working.
Also I am unable to install v2.13 because update tool show modem version mismatch and don't proceed I want to resolve my network issue please share something to help me..

No need to be on 1.64 stock
Actually I was able to do the upgrade from 1.64 bb72. I used the nubia tool which resizes the partitions and 2.13 stock. Then to 3.08 bb72.
It may even be possible to skip the step with 2.13 using the tool . If anyone has done it please advise

1. know anyone what is difference between Clasics ROM and FZ ROM (newer phones coming with FZ ROM)

2. I install FZ ROM to my phone with Clasics ROM without problem phone is working.
3. NEW phone: In android recovery mode is test "Root Integrity Check" Every time if i run this test i receive message
"Error: found 9 new files / System chceck FAIL!!" same error with original Clasic ROM and same error with FZ ROM

Guys, this can be solved. If you have the mediatek drivers correctly installed, and then the driver signature deactivated (follow this tehnotone.com/windows-10-mtk-vcom-usb-drivers-for-32-64-bit-drivers-installation-tutorial/ ).
Download firmware with scatter file from here: .needrom.com/download/oukitel-k6000-pro-v12/
TURN OFF THE PHONE (make sure is no background light, some times when the phone is dead ocurre this when pressing power botton)
After that use sp flash tool, Load scatter file and in the Format tab mark Validation, Autoformat flash and Format whole flash
conect the phone to the usb
Disconect the phone
On the Download tab, select Format all+Download
And this is it! OUKITEL K6000 PRO come back to live
Sorry for my strange english
One more thing, you will lose your imei,and there is no CDS option to change it.
You need to root the phone to asign an imei.

You are my hero, i have trying to fix my phone for hours and your description is perfect, thank you so much :highfive:
As there is no sub-form for this phone, I am going to piggyback off of this due to the keywords and such... But.. Does anyone have issues with getting anything more than EDGE network from within the USA? Namely TMobile. I checked the freq's the phone and TMO uses and most match up with a few missing on the LTE side, but utilizing one at least... But I have not been able to get anything past EDGE connection, and that won't even pull web pages... Any ideas?
And there is a way to root the new k6000 plus?

Hey everyone,
I think my non-rooted phone is stuck in a bootloop (device keeps connecting and disconnecting after every few seconds while connected to the PC via USB). I searched for a way to get a clean ROM install on it using SP Flash Tool (found a guide on GetDroidTips), but whenever the SP Flash Tool starts downloading, it gives me "STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH" error. Does anybody know what might be causing this and what the error itself might mean?

Hi , i thing that firmware is wrong maybe is for the same device but for example your device has 16GB internal memory but another device with same model has 8 gb of internal storage and that way this error come up.
So what you can try here is :
1. Find Global version for your device with latest firmware if you can find.
2. Put your phone in to the charge for about 2-3 hours to make sure that battery is charged.
3. Uninstall all drivers for your device by using USBDeview (scroll down for download links)

To uninstall your drivers for device just open the tool , find the your driver for device , right click on it and click on uninstall.
4. Reset COM Ports , and once you reset reboot your PC .

5. Reset Windows Defender status to default.

6. Disable antivirus or malware protection temporary.

Download - Check "DA DL All with Checksum" and also "Storage checksum" if you have those.
12. Try to just hold Power button while is flashing , once is finish release the power button.
13. Try to flash with disabled driver signature.

Massive thank you for taking the time to reply . I was about to jump straight to finding windows 7. I'd done most of those but haven't done vthe usbdeview or couple of hers. I'll try it all in sequence later and let others know :good:
UPDATE
TOK so an update. The problem is still happening after all the steps. I've tested on a windows 8 machine and the same error code is appearing. I'll try it on 7 later though.
As some backstory to mine is my phone entered a bootloop on Friday. It was running low on storage, about 8gb free of 128gb, during the bootloop I tried the power+volume keys to "battery pull" it which rebooted the phone back to normal. Shortly after the screen appeared low-res (like it was a much older screen) and then shut off and hasn't been on since.
The red LED shows when powering, with no screen activity, the phone connects to the computer and is read as a mediatek device. Holding the power down button for around 15 seconds with the device plugged into a wall charger makes the red LED go off then back on (not a flashing led though), and when doing the same while plugged in to a pc it connects like it was just plugged in.
My phone is a Umidigi S2 Pro (only one model for it instead of different size memories etc), the firmwares have been the official ones from the Umidigi S2 Pro roms page including the other tools which is where I flashed the stock Nougat ROM from last year so those should be fine (I'll post links if that's allowed on XDA-developers?). For some stupid reason Umidigi allowed a 3rd party to develop a UmiOS version of Android and used Efuse to restrict it's rooting ability, however this didn't stop the flashing of the 2 update ROMS before.
The code displayed in SP flash tools is M6575D if that's a known trouble one?
Hm , strange maybe the image files from stock firmwares is larger or small and sp flash tool can't verify hach ...
this :
Try with this version of SP Flash tool: https://spflashtools.com/windows/sp-flash-tool-v5-1828 also use checksum from stockfirmware . And make sure that all is checked inside SP Flash tool .
But this way do like this:
- Run SP Flash Tool with Administrator.
- Load full firmware inside SP Flash tool.
- Set Option " Download Only " check just preloader and click Start .
- Now connect your phone with USB 2 ports and see what is happening .
- If the flash is done load now full firmware again and uncheck just preloader.

I learned something new, after investigating this is done to flash the preloader, and fix
STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCHIt gives that error because the preloader is flooded/bricked. there is an incorrect hash code/mismatching code between the Brom , preloader in the scatter, and the DA.
After properly unlocking SLA, DAA(Being in Brom mode), fixing the preloader, using the right DA, right Scatter file, this code should match, and the error disappears.
(Flashing the rest of the Rom without preloader becomes possible on the 2nd run)

This error wont exist in the future, won't be relevant. But it teaches us about the function of preloader, super data, data, and hash codes.
